Ultimate Vault Hunter
Unlock all Borderlands® 3 Trophies.
You Got Skills

Star Bound
Reach level 10.
See Biggest Badass In The Borderlands for more information.
Vaulting Your Way To The Top
Reach level 25.
See Biggest Badass In The Borderlands for more information.
Biggest Badass In The Borderlands
Reach level 50.
Aim to get this toward the end of your first playthrough or if you’re going for True Vault Hunter Mode (2nd Playthrough), just play normally and you should be close to this one. The fastest way I found to boost xp was to go to the Ambermire – Rogue’s Hollow, when you fast travel in (all locations in the video below) turn around from the fast travel, jump out the window and take down the Psychobillies, these guys are weak to incendiary damage, so bring a decent incendiary gun such as the Damned Assault Rifle or the Incendiary SkekSil Pistol, rinse and repeat until you hit level 50. If you know of a faster xp boost, please mention down it the comments to help other people out. As soon as you hit level 50, your Trophy will unlock.
Bolt-Ons
Unlock 10 Character Heads or Skins.
You will find Crazy Earl fairly early in the game, he’s aboard the Sanctuary 3, he has a whole wealth of heads, skins and all other sorts of customisation, for this trophy you will need to purchase 10 heads or skins. If you’re a Borderlands 2 veteran, you’ll know what you need – Eridium! and lots of it. For those of you new to Borderlands 3, Eridium is a bi-product of Slag. Anyway, I digress, The fastest way to earn Eridium in the early game of Borderlands 3 is to farm the Legendary Hunt – Crawley, you can find this overgrown Varkid, in Varkid Valley in The Droughts on Pandora.
You should get a good 10-15 Eridium per kill, save and quit, and go for it again. You also have a good chance of it dropping a half-decent Legendary SMG. Go back to Crazy Earl and buy as many Heads / Skins as you can, if you haven’t quite got enough Eridium, repeat the process and you’ll have this Trophy done soon enough.
Mechani-Cool
Unlock 10 Vehicle Parts via hijacking.
You can hijack vehicle parts from every main planet in the Galaxy, most of these have a little puzzle / task you need to complete in order to access the parts. Whenever you see a purple vehicle icon on your mini map, that’s a vehicle that will have a new part for you to access on your own vehicles. There are roughly 20 of these dotted around the Galaxy, you only need 10 so there’s more than enough opportunity to unlock this trophy. The video below gives you visual reference for the 10 simplest vehicle parts to hijack. To actually hijack a vehicle, you need to get to it, then drive it to a Catch-A-Ride station, park it in the flashing yellow rectangle and wait for the vehicle to be absorbed. You will then get a message on screen saying Crew Challenge Complete:
- Cyclone, Sonic Booster: Promethea, Meridian Metroplex.
- Outrunner, Razor Wings: Eden-6, Floodmoor Basin.
- Cyclone, Wide Wheel: Eden-6, Floodmoor Basin.
- Outrunner, Heavy Armour: Pandora, Ascension Bluff.
- Outrunner, Energy Cell: Nekrotafeyo, Desolations Edge.
- Technical, Spiked Wheels: Pandora, Devil’s Razor.
- Outrunner, Zippy Wheels: Pandora, Devil’s Razor.
- Cyclone, Digithruster: Nekrotafeyo, Desolation’s Edge.
- Technical, Tire Launcher: Panadora, The Splinterlands.
- Technical, Sticky Mine Launcher: Promethea, Meridian Outskirts.
In the video below, you can find the time stamp that will take you directly to each vehicle part that you need in the description. Once you have successfully acquired your tenth vehicle part, your Trophy will unlock.
Tips Appreciated
Tip Moxxi.
You’ll be tasked with going to Moxxi’s bar soon after boarding the Sanctuary 3 ship. On the bar you’ll find a glass jar in the middle, walk up to it and press Square to tip Moxxi. The amount you tip her is of no consequence for this trophy, however, tip her enough and she’ll start sending you a couple of decent weapons. As soon as you have tipped Moxxi for the first time, your Trophy will unlock.
I Hope You Didn’t Tea-bag
Win a duel.
This will require 2 players in the same lobby, this can be done locally, with 2 different accounts on the same console or online with a mate / random. Easiest way to access the duelling menu is to hold down Options to access your emote menu, in this menu will give you the option to “duel“, your counterpart then needs to accept the duel request, simply win the duel by downing the other player, unlocking your Trophy in the process.
Stay Away From The Light
Revive another player.
You can either do this one locally with 2 different accounts or online with a mate / random, if you play online regularly you’ll get his one through natural gameplay, once the other player has gone into fight for your life, run up to them and hold down either Square whilst looking directly at them, once they have been successfully revived your Trophy will unlock.
Gun Pals!
Send an item to a friend.
You need to have PS Plus and have at least 1 friend confirmed on your friends’ list to be able to send “mail” to other players. To access this menu, pause the game then go to Social, Mail, then press Square to send mail, select any item in your inventory, then select the player you’d like the item to go to (they don’t need to be online) once you’ve successfully gifted an item your Trophy will unlock.
Dropping Loads
Win a live grenade at a Slot Machine.
There are many slot machines scattered across the Galaxy in Borderlands 3, however, the simplest way to get this one is to go to Moxxi’s bar on Sanctuary 3, there are 4 slot machines here, 3 that take cash and 1 that takes eridium. Keep playing the cash slot machines and eventually you will get a grenade when you hit 3 Psycho symbols, careful when one does drop as the grenades are quite powerful, even if the grenade kills you, you’ll still get your Trophy.
Good Against Remotes Is One Thing
Get a perfect score at the Firing Range on any difficulty.
The firing range is on Sanctuary 3 underneath Marcus’ shop. Your objective here is to shoot 15 cardboard cutouts of the enemies you’ll find across the Galaxy. This is nigh on impossible when playing solo as for me and a lot of other people out there are having big issues with the hit-boxes, you can pump 10/15 rounds in 1 target before it actually registers. Bring some very high magazine, highly accurate weapons for this and at least 1 other player, the more players you bring (up to 3) the easier this one will become. Once you’ve managed to take down all 15 targets in 20 seconds, your trophy will then unlock.
My Name Is Earl
Buy 20 cosmetic items from Crazy Earl.
Crazy Earl is on board Sanctuary 3, you’ll naturally go to his location shortly after taking off from Pandora, you’ll need around 550 Eridium, the secondary currency in. Borderlands 3, to unlock this trophy. Any item you buy from Crazy Earl will count towards this one. The items in the Eridium vending machine to the right of Crazy Earl’s door Do Not Count towards this one. You want to be purchasing weapon trinkets, room decorations, heads and player and weapon skins, once you have purchased your 20th cosmetic item your Trophy will then unlock.
Tales From The Eridian Slab
Decipher all of the Eridian Slabs.
Click the link to go to the complete Tales From The Eridian Slab Trophy Guide.
Slaughterhouse 3
Complete all the Circles of Slaughter.
There are 3 Circles Of Slaughter in Borderlands 3, 1 on Pandora, The Slaughter Shaft where you’ll fight wave after wave of Bandits of varying levels of difficulty. 1 on Promethea, the Cistern Of Slaughter where you’ll fight increasingly difficult waves of creatures you’ll find across the Galaxy and 1 in the Galaxy called Slaughterhouse 3000 which will see you fighting Maliwan enemies of increasing difficulty. You definitely want to leave this one until you’re level 50, with a very good chunk of your Guardian Ranks unlocked. If you are struggling with any of these try and get a party together, even just having one other person with you will help massively, as they can revive you should you go down.
Please Note: There can be 4 of you in a lobby going through these Circles Of Slaughter, BUT! only the host can unlock the trophy. Also, especially if you’re going for this solo, you need to a wide variety of very powerful elemental weapons, with incendiary, corrosive, shock & radiation damage, a very powerful singularity grenade to bunch the enemies up (I went for the Quasar) a very good nova Shield, I went for the Frozen Heart. Lastly, make sure you are playing on Normal with no Mayhem Modifiers on at all as these Circles of Slaughter are hardcore. Once you have successfully beaten all 3 Circles of Slaughter, your Trophy will then unlock.
A Hundred Names For Sand
Discover all named locations on Pandora.
There are a total of 78 named locations across Pandora, don’t try and get this until after you have completed the main story as many of them are locked off until the final missions in the game. To check how many locations you have uncovered in any particular map, press the TP to access your main menu, from here, go to Map then press either Triangle to change from zone view, planet view or Galaxy view, then press L3 to view how many locations you’re missing in a particular zone, a couple of these locations on Pandora are locked behind side quests, these are:
- Devil’s Razor, Avie’s Fort: Boom Boom Boomtown
- Konrad’s Hold, These Are no Mines: The Demon In The Dark
- The Slaughter Shaft: Accessed through Konrad’s Hold
There are also 3 locations that require precise placing, 2 of which are in The Splinterlands, first one is Pitt’s Stop, where you first enter The Splinterlands, the 2nd difficult one is just at the end of Pitt’s Stop on the right called Logan’s Spar. The third difficult one is in Carnivora, make your way out to the large sandy area, proceed North, make your way along this cliff face and around to the right when you can, you’ll come across a very small cave with a Typhon De Leon log, this area is called Azlan’s Stash.
As soon as you see New Area Discovered for both of these they’ll then be added to your total count. Here’s a breakdown of all zones and how many locations you need to find per zone, you don’t need to uncover every part of the map, as long as you receive the on screen message saying New Location Discovered that will be enough:
- Covenant Pass has 3
- The Droughts has 13
- Ascension Bluff has 5
- Devil’s Razor has 13
- The Splinterlands has 6
- Carnivora has 5
- Guts Of Carnivora has 5
- Konrad’s Hold has 12
- Sandblast Scar has 4
- Cathedral Of The Twin Gods has 5
- The Great Vault has 2
- Destroyer’s Rift has 4
- The Slaughter Shaft has 1
Please Note: The in game count is heavily glitched, I have seen reports of people getting the trophy as early as 73/78 on their in game counter or as late as 82 / 78, as long as you have been to every location, your Trophy will unlock.
Swamped
Discover all named locations on Eden-6.
There are a total of 63 named locations across Eden-6, you can technically go back and get this one once you’ve defeated the Graveward, although I recommend you leave this until after you’ve beaten the main story so you’ll be strong enough to handle everything that you’ll come up against in the process.
To check how many locations you have uncovered in any particular map, press the TP to access your main menu, from here, go to map then press either Triangle to change from zone, view, planet view or Galaxy view, then press L3 to view how many locations you’re missing in a particular zone, 4 of these locations are locked behind side quests, these are:
- Floodmoor Basin, Lonesome Isle: There is technically a side quest to get on here, but you can easily get this location using a cyclone rather than an Outrunner like you need to do in the side quest Get Quick, Slick
- Jakobs Estate, The Unhollowed Blog: Witches Brew
- Ambermire, Curltail Warren: Raiders Of The Lost Rock
- The Anvil, Shankland: On The Blood Path
There are also 2 locations that require fairly precise positioning, these are Slickhouse Garage, a small hut just to the south west corner of the lowest part of Floodmoor Basin, drop down to where the water is, make your way west, you’ll see Slickhouse’ Garage just off to the left against the cliff face. Secondly, is Jason Waterfalls, make your way to the most north-northwestern part of the map, you’ll see some waterfalls with a sign, you need to walk along the very back wall until the location has been discovered. Check the video below for exact placement. Here’s a breakdown of all zones and how many locations you need to find per zone, you don’t need to uncover every part of the map, as long as you receive the on screen text message saying New Location discovered that will be enough:
- Floodmoor Basin has 15
- The Anvil has 7
- Jakob’s Estate has 10
- Voracious Canopy has 11
- Ambermire has 10
- Blackbarrel Cellars has 8
- The Floating Tomb has 2
I haven’t heard any issues with the in game count for Eden-6, if you have discovered any issues, let me know down in the comments and if it’s verifiable, I can add it to the guide. Once you have discovered all 63 named locations on Eden-6, your Trophy will unlock.
City Slicker
Discover all named locations on Promethea.
There are a total of 43 named Locations across Promethea, you can get this one after defeating Katagawa Jr. Once he’s defeated, make your way back to Skywell-27. The most missable location is Katagawa’s Pleasure Pit, in the area just before you go through the ventilation shafts make your way all the way to the right and drop down, previously the area you need was blocked off by a forcefield. The Cistern of Slaughter can be accessed through the Meridian Metroplex, but *Please Note* This area is very heavily glitched.
For some people, the location won’t register at all, the problem seems to be heavily linked to online play, try playing offline, if that doesn’t work, try again on TVHM, and if that doesn’t work, you have my condolences. The Neon Arterial has a very niche location called the Restricted Catacombs, make your way back through the Neon Arterial from The Forgotten Basilica, you’ll see an Eridian Slab on the right, just up to the left are the Restricted Catacombs, make your way around the left side of the wall up to the ledge and you’ll unlock this location. Here’s a breakdown of all zones and how many locations you need to find per zone, you don’t need to uncover every part of the map, as long as you receive the on screen text message saying new location discovered that will be enough:
- Meridian Outskirts has 3
- Meridian Metroplex has 6
- Lectra City has 8
- Skywell-27 has 6
- Atlas HQ has 9
- Neon Arterial has 6
- The Forgotten Basilica has 2
Good luck with this Trophy, hopefully you won’t suffer the glitch like so many others have.
Exoarchaeolo—You Get the Gist
Discover all named locations on Nekrotafeyo.
There are a total of 27 named locations across Nekrotafeyo. Fortunately, none of these are glitched! Makes a nice change, doesn’t it. Providing you complete the side mission Bad Vibrations, to unlock the location The Chancellor’s Throat in Desolation’s Edge you’ll struggle missing these. Here’s a breakdown of all zones and how many locations you need to find per zone, you don’t need to uncover every part of the map, as long as you receive the on screen text message saying new location discovered that will be enough:
- Desolation’s Edge has 9
- Tanzendeer Ruins has 8
- The Pyre Of Stars has 10
There’s no Circle of Slaughter on Nekrotafeyo either making this the easiest out of the bunch to unlock. Once you have discovered all 27 named locations, your Trophy will unlock.
Master Of All You Survey
Discover all named locations.
In total, there are 223 locations across the Galaxy in Borderlands 3. As long as you have unlocked the following trophies:
- A Hundred Names For Sand, Pandora.
- City Slicker, Promethea.
- Swamped, Eden-6.
- Exoarchaeolo – You Get The Gist, Nekrotafeyo.
The only locations left are the 6 Eridian Proving Grounds and 5 locations on Athenas, once you have unlocked all 223 locations across the Galaxy, your Trophy will unlock.
À La Carte
Complete 20 Side Missions.
See Getting A Little On The Side for more information.
Getting A Little On The Side
Complete all Side Missions.
This will make up the majority of your time in Borderlands 3, the main game is one thing, but these side missions are something else entirely. In total, there are 91 side missions across all 5 planets in Borderlands 3. The rare spawn enemies don’t count towards this total. Some of these won’t be available until after you have completed certain mission objectives / proceeded far enough through the story, so for me, I’d leave the majority of these side missions until after you have completed the main game. None of these are missable, simply open the map on any planet / zone and press L3 to see how many side quests, simply seek out the yellow exclamation marks to find the quests. Once you have completed all of them, your Trophy will unlock.
100 Proof
Clear all the Eridian Proving Grounds.
Please check the video below for a full in-depth guide, showing you the locations, what you’ll face and how to complete all 6 Eridian Proving Grounds to unlock your Trophy.

Barreled Right Over Them
Kill an enemy with an exploding barrel.
A very simple trophy to unlock, there’s so many exploding barrels around the Galaxy, simply get an enemy near one, shoot a barrel, kill the enemy, unlock your Trophy.
Feelin’ A Little Stabby
Kill an enemy, knifing them with a gun blade.
A wide variety of guns / weapons have a knife attachment, this usually comes with a stat increasing melee damage. You should be able to get this through normal game progression, however, if you’re struggling, go to The Droughts, on normal difficulty (no mayhem mods) and melee any of the low level Pup Skags with R3, these enemies are so weak you should be able to kill them in 1 or 2 hits even if you’re level 2 / 3. Whatever way you decide to do this, as soon as you’ve successfully killed any enemy with your knife attachment, your Trophy will unlock.
Stick It To ‘Em
Kill two or more enemies with a single sticky grenade.
Another very simple trophy in Borderlands 3. You’ll need a “sticky” grenade for this one. Near enough any grenade you find across the Galaxy has the chance of dropping as a sticky version, but your best bet is to check the ammo dump vending machine and buy a sticky grenade, best place to get this will be either The Droughts or near the Meridian Outskirts drop pod where all the Ratch are. Wait for a couple enemies to bunch together and throw your grenade out, as long as the grenade takes out 2 or more enemies at once you’ll unlock your Trophy.
On Fleek
Equip purple-rarity gear or better in every slot.
The earliest you can unlock this one is after you have defeated the Graveward and have acquired the Eridian Synchronizer. After you have the Synchronizer, you can then equip artifacts, you should have a few purple artifacts by this point, but if not, I’ll be amazed if you don’t get one by the end of the game. If you’re still missing a purple or orange artifact. Once you’ve finished the main story, go back and farm Graveward until she drops the Grave Artifact, it’s a legendary with a pretty decent drop rate. Either way, as long you have either all purple, all legendary (orange) or a combination of both purple and orange items equipped, your Trophy will unlock.
Rewards Card
Earn a Loyalty Package from each weapon manufacturer.
To earn a loyalty package, you need to get 100 kills with a given manufacturer, the type of weapon you use doesn’t matter, and all add to the total, so for example, you could get 50 kills with a Jakobs Shotgun and 50 kills with a Jakobs Pistol, because the kills were all done under the Jakobs manufacturer you will earn a loyalty package for Jakobs. You need to get 100 kills against enemy type with the following manufacturers:
- Atlas.
- COV – Children of the Vault.
- Dahl.
- Hyperion.
- Jakobs.
- Maliwan.
- Tediore.
- Torgue.
- Vladof.

Florida Man
Down yourself by grenade or explosion.
An incredibly simple trophy to unlock. If you’ve managed to get through the game without earning this one then you’re a true badass. For the rest of us mere mortals, chuck a grenade at your feet or stand next to any of the elemental barrels in the galaxy and shoot one of them to unlock your Trophy.
Stay Golden
Use a Golden Key.
The Golden Chest is located on Sanctuary 3, just to the right of the stairs that lead down to the cargo bay. You will need to be able to connect to the internet to unlock this one as you’re going to need a Golden Key which you can acquire from a SHIFT Code. The code itself will be 25 characters long, to input this, pause your game, go to Social, go to SHIFT Code, input your code and then go to your Mail tab, redeem the Golden Key and use it on the Golden Chest. Once you’ve done this successfully, your Trophy will unlock.
Damn, Gina
Obtain all Vault Rewards.
To unlock Damn, Gina, you need to get all 4 Eridian Artifacts, these aren’t equipable, but they are usable. Your first Artifact will be the Eridian Resonator which you receive after defeating the Rampager enabling you to smash the Eridian deposits across the Galaxy. Secondly you’ll receive the Eridian Synchronizer will will allow you to equip Artifacts. Thirdly you’ll receive the Eridian Analyzer enabling you to read the Eridian Slabs across the Galaxy. The final Eridian Artifact is in the Vault after you have defeated Tyreen, grab the Eridian Ascensionator to be able to enter and control the mayhem level. Once you have acquired all 4 of these Artifacts, your Trophy will then unlock.
That’s the Borderlands 3 Trophy Guide complete I hope it helps you through the game.
