This guide will help you get through every mission on veteran difficulty with a full video walkthrough on all 14 missions as well as helping you complete every miscellaneous task along the way.

Tier 1
Unlock all Trophies

Press [BOOM] to Defuse
Blow up 3 tripwires with explosives.

You can get this one done on mission 6, Hunting Party. You’ll reach a tripwire a few seconds into the mission, through the first archway you get to, you then want to press Left to equip your grenade launcher. Fire one round just through the archway to blow the tripwire, restart the mission and repeat this process 2 more times to unlock your Trophy.

Ashes to Ashes
Burn 4 enemies with a single molotov.

You can easily get this trophy on mission 4, Proxy War. Once in the Russian military compound, with your objective to secure the armoury, head to the right side of the armoury and stay in 1 of the buildings, looking out onto the courtyard, you’ll hear over the radio “enemy reinforcements” this will prompt a jeep with 4 enemies inside, run outside and throw a Molotov with R1 at the jeep, if successful you’ll burn all 4 enemies. If you aren’t quick enough, reload from the last checkpoint and have another go. Once successful your Trophy will unlock.

Hang Time
Kill 3 Enemies while you are on a ladder.

You can get this one done on mission 10, The Wolf’s Den. After you get split from Farah you’ll go through a series of tunnels, eventually coming to a room that the enemy will set on fire, you’ll make your way up 3 ladders as part of the mission, at the top of each ladder is an enemy, kill them whilst still on the ladder. If you fail, simply reload from the last checkpoint and have another go. Once you’ve killed 3 enemies while on a ladder, your Trophy will unlock.

Long Way Down
Crash a helicopter by shooting the pilot.

You can get this one in mission 4, Proxy War. Whilst storming the Russian military base, several choppers will appear. Once you have cleared the first armoury (a large red metal container) you will then regroup with your team and storm the next area. Immediately after you enter this area an attack Chopper will come at you nice and low, fill the Cockpit up with lead, law of averages says you’ll hit the pilot. Should you fail, simply reload your last checkpoint and try again. Once you’ve successfully downed the Chopper, your Trophy will unlock.

Wild Fire
Take down a flying Helicopter with a molotov.

You can get this one on mission 4, Proxy War. Whilst proceeding through the Military base, heading towards the armoury, hug the right wall and you’ll see a very low hovering chopper. Throw a molotov with R1 above the actual chopper, your aim is to make the molotov arc back down so it hits the Chopper, if done on recruit difficulty, it will take 1 molotov to down the chopper. Once successful your Trophy will unlock.

Good Effect on Target
Kill an enemy with a direct hit from a smoke grenade.

You can get this one on mission 6, Hunting Party. To get this trophy you will need to find an enemy in “last stand” fortunately you’re in a hospital with plenty of them. The simplest location is through a set of double doors on the ground floor, when you reach the main corridor go left and in front of you will be an enemy soldier on a hospital bed. Throw a smoke grenade at his head with L1 killing them, if you don’t get it right, simply reload you last checkpoint and try again. Once successful your Trophy will unlock.

Out of the Fire
Complete every single player mission on Veteran or Realism difficulty.

Tea Time
Complete the single player Campaign on any difficulty.

Simply complete all 14 missions on any difficulty to unlock this one. See Out of the Fire for more information.

Nothing but Net
Neutralize the ‘Fog of War’ machine gun with a frag grenade.

You can get this one in mission 1, Fog Of War. Proceed through the mission until your teammates open a set of blue doors, they will then be killed by the machine gun you need to take down. The M.G. is in the distance on the first floor with a brightly lit floodlight. Take down all enemies around the staircase, EXCEPT the one on the M.G. itself, use R1 to throw a frag grenade at him and the M.G. If you fail, simply restart from your last checkpoint and try again, the video below gives you a perfect visual of what’s required. Once successful, your Trophy will unlock.

Trigger Discipline
Do not injure any civilians in ‘Piccadilly’.

Piccadilly is the second campaign mission and thankfully it’s a very short mission. The best way to get this trophy is to start the mission on recruit difficulty. Simply make your way through the mission and rather than kill the enemies with your gun use R3 to melee them and in the process this will never harm and civilian in this mission. Once the mission is over and you have not injured any civilians, your Trophy will unlock.

Play Dead
Kill all the enemies in the ‘Embedded’ field of dead bodies.

You can get this one in mission 3, Embedded. This is, of course, easiest on recruit difficulty. Once Farah has thrown her backpack bomb, you’ll run runaway into a field of dead bodies, your mission objective is to hide when the enemies appear, however, for this one you need to go loud and kill all the enemies. You can do this in any manner you wish. Once the last enemy is defeated your Trophy will unlock

Companion Block
Only use one cinder block and bring it to the end of ‘Embedded’.

You can get this one in mission 3, Embedded. This is a bit of a joke really, to get this trophy you need to carry a concrete block with you for damn near the entire mission. Shortly after the start of the mission you’ll need to pick up a cinder block, and keep it with you right until you reach the sewer at the end, any time you have a contact, simply press R2 to drop the block, drop the enemies, collect your block and carry on.

About halfway through the mission, Farah will climb up a ladder, you will be unable to follow her with the block so make your way around to the right through the building where you’ll meet back up with Farah. Once you’ve successfully got to the end of the mission, throw the block down the sewer at which point, your Trophy will unlock.

Wall Hax
Save Alpha 3-2 from being downed.

You can get this one in Mission 5, Clean House. When you’re proceeding to the 2nd floor you have to use your NVG’s. When you’re on the stairs leading up, stop halfway and shoot through the door to your right, kill the tango in there thus saving Alpha 3-2, when successful your Trophy will unlock.

Golden Path
Complete ‘Clean House’ without being hit using one bullet per threat.

You can earn this one in mission 5, Clean House. This one can be a bit tricky, you need to kill every enemy in the mission without taking damage by either melee or bullet. Proceed very cautiously through the floors ensuring you only use 1 bullet or melee kill to defeat each enemy, so headshots are a must here. You enter the ground floor kitchen, 3 enemies in here, one standing up, stick one in his head, the other 2 will scatter, but always to fixed locations, one behind the chair and the other moves to the left of the room.

First floor has 3 enemies again, the first room you enter will have 1 tango, 1 hostage, kill them both, 1 headshot each or 1 headshot, 1 melee kill. The 3rd enemy is behind the door to the right, hug the wall, when the enemy comes rushing out, melee him or shoot him in the head. Second floor has 3 enemies again, one hides behind the door after he kills Alpha 3-2. Chuck a flashbang in the room, melee the stunned enemy in the right side of the room, then hide before the third enemy comes in, wait for him to empty his clip then pop him whilst he’s reloading headshot / melee.

Third floor has one enemy that hides under the bed line up your shot carefully and relieve him of having brains in his skull. Captain price then kills the tango on the fourth floor. If you get tagged / use more than 1 round to kill an enemy reload your last checkpoint and have another go. Once you have successfully cleared the house whilst not being hit and have dropped every enemy with 1 round each or a melee kill, your Trophy will unlock.

Circus Tour
Kill at least one enemy while inside The Reading Place, Aural Chic and both Subway undergrounds.

You can get this one in mission 2, Piccadilly. To make this world’s easier, do it on recruit difficulty. From the mission start, wait for the van explosion then make your way down, your first subway is on the left, you’ll see 2 tango’s with hostages, drop them both. Proceed through the mission to the Aurul Chic, drop at least 1 tango in this area (don’t let them run out the area). Exit this building, make your way round to the left where you’ll find your second subway, make your way through to the other exit where a suicide bomber will appear, drop him quickly before he escapes. The Reading Place is North of the Subway exit, get in there and drop at least 1 tango. Once you’ve dropped 4 in 4 your Trophy will unlock.

Love from Above
Destroy 4 trucks with 4 drone strikes before they reach the end of their path in ‘The Embassy’.

You can get this one in mission 7, The Embassy. Towards the end of the mission you will be given a laser tag to aid drone strikes, make your way onto the roof, kill the enemies on the scaffold to your left and the enemy will send trucks to attack your position. Now with the laser pointer equipped, press R2 to fire a drone strike, make sure you aim slightly in front of the trucks themselves to allow a few seconds for the missile to get there. Every time you destroy a truck you will get a checkpoint, so if you fail to hit one successfully simply restart from your last checkpoint and try again. Once you have destroyed 4 trucks with drone strikes your Trophy will unlock.

Pit Stop
Stop three APCs with Hadir’s sniper rifle.

You can get this one on mission 8, Highway Of Death. Once you’ve proceeded far enough through the mission you’ll be tasked with killing enemies at mortar positions, once you’ve acquired the Sniper Rifle, 3 APC’s will appear, use the Sniper Rifle to take them out, shoot at their wheels, 3 rounds will be sufficient to stop an APC. Once all 3 have been stopped, your Trophy will unlock.

Driver’s Ed
Shoot the driver of the suicide truck.

You can get this one on mission 8, Highway Of Death. Once you’ve gone through far enough in the mission, you’ll be tasked with killing enemies at mortar positions, immediately after the final mortar position is down, you’ll have a suicide truck rush towards you. Equip your Sniper Rifle and shoot the bonnet twice, then stick one in the driver. If you fail, reload the checkpoint and have another go, once successful, your Trophy will unlock.

Two Birds
Kill both soldiers with one shot in ‘Hometown’.

You can get this one in mission 9, Hometown. Towards the end of the mission, you’ll be escaping from the town and will come across a campsite style area with 2 enemies. The simplest way of getting this trophy is to press Up to call Hadir’s phone distracting the 2 Soldiers. Now run into the middle of the area and pick up the revolver. If you’re to slow to get it before being spotted, simply reload your last checkpoint and try again. Aim down the sight, line up the 2 soldiers, fire one round aiming for head / neck shots. Providing you kill them both with 1 bullet your Trophy will unlock.

Tunnel Rat
Complete ‘The Wolf’s Den’ tunnels using only the 1911.

You can get this one in mission 10, The Wolf’s Den. Once you gain control of Alex, you will be in the tunnels. You can only use the 1911 pistol or melee attacks. DO NOT use any other weapon or offensive grenade as it will negate this trophy. Proceed slowly and cautiously through the mission as you have very limited ammo, sometimes it’s better to let the enemy kill you rather than you wasting to many rounds. Once you’ve made it through the tunnels and you’ve met up with Farah your Trophy will unlock.

Dodged a Bullet
Never get hit by the sniper while escaping captivity.

You can get this one in mission 11, Captive. After you’ve escaped your prison cell and freed your fellow prisoners you will make your way towards a warehouse where your brother is located. On top of this warehouse is a Sniper, he does have a very strong tell-tale red guidance laser, making this one quite simple, move from cover to cover nice and slowly. The Sniper will need a clear line of site on you to be able to shoot you, deny him this and you’ll have no worries here. If you do get shot by the Sniper, simply reload your last checkpoint and have another go. Once you’re in the warehouse, kill the Sniper to unlock your Trophy.

Got Something on Your Face
Spit on Barkov.

You can get this one in mission 11, Captive. This is a very simple trophy that you can get near the start of the mission. Once you’re taken into an interrogation room with Barkov. Rather than answering his question, press R3 to spit in his face, your Trophy will unlock shortly after.

Hot Swap
Get at least one kill with eight different weapons when completing ‘Old Comrades’.

You can get this one on mission 12, Old Comrades. This is one of the more lengthy missions in Modern Warfare. Fortunately there are a lot of different enemies carrying a large assortment of weaponry. Make your way through the mission, every time you kill an enemy, check which weapon they’ve dropped. If it’s one you haven’t used in this mission, pick it up and get a kill with it. I found at least a dozen different weapons in this mission .50GS, X16, 1911, MP7, AK47, M19, Uzi, RPG7, FAL, P90, Model 680. As long as you get 1 kill with 8 different weapons (grenades don’t count) your Trophy will unlock.

Lights Out
Shut off the power to 4 buildings in ‘Going Dark’.

You can get this one in mission 13, Going Dark. You have to shut the power off to 1 building as a mission objective, the other 3 are optional unless you want this trophy. The 3 you’ll need are The Pool, The Clocktower & The Church. They’re very easy to find, make your way up to the junction box and shut down the power. If you fail / die just restart and have another go. Once you’ve shut down the power to the fourth and final building your Trophy will unlock.

We Own the Night
Kill all enemies at the Church, Clocktower, and Pool without anyone calling for backup.

On paper this is by far one of the hardest trophies in the game, if you alert an enemy to our presence at all, it’s an instant fail. Thankfully, here at FuzionByte we have a very nice workaround to make this very simple. As soon as you get spotted, which is bound to happen every so often. Pause the game immediately and restart from your last checkpoint. It’s a very simple method, but one that can make an incredibly difficult, frustrating trophy infinitely more achievable. Warheads on Foreheads
Reach Barkov’s lab entrance using only drone strikes.

You can get this one on mission 14, Into The Furnace. I highly recommend you go for this one on recruit difficulty. For this one, you can ONLY use drone strikes to take out enemies, NO melee, NO grenades, NO firing a weapon at all. Press Up to equip your laser pointer, then press L2 to aim and R2 to initiate a drone strike. Make your way very slowly and cautiously to the lab itself, if you die, it doesn’t matter, simply retry maybe hanging back further than you did previously. Providing you’ve only used drone strikes to take out the enemy your Trophy will unlock shortly after you reach the lab.
