Here is the Dead Island 2 Missing: Jamal lost and found quest which will help you find and track down Jamal who is an AWOL security guard from the Halperin Hotel.

I recommend bringing a light Firearm with you as you will need to remove Maglocks on doors inside security huts and whilst this can be done by throwing weapons at them, it’s a lot easier using 1 round per Maglock and let’s face it, a Firearm always comes in handy against the undead.

For me, I did the lost and found quests after having completed the main story, as such, some lost and found quests might not show on your first visit to the Serling Hotel so check back regularly in game where the Missing Person notices will become available on the notice board in the Serling Hotel safe zone.

Quest giver: Collect the Missing: Jamal note from the Missing Persons notice board in the Serling Hotel.
Rewards: 1,500 XP, Pistol.

Collect the Missing: Jamal poster from the Missing Persons board in the Serling Hotel safe zone on Ocean Avenue then fast travel to the Halperin Hotel, leave out the North door, go down the stairs and through the open gate over to your left.

Look over to your right to find a Security hut you will need to gain access to, however, to make things easier, hit or shoot the yellow alarm box off the side of the hut then smash the maglock on the right side of the hut.

Go round to the opposite side of the hut and either throw a weapon at or shoot the 2nd maglock opening the door where you can go in and loot the Employee Vehicle Register note from the filing cabinet.

Leave the security hut, head East then go right through the gap in the fence and follow the path up and around adjacent to the coach to the next security hut.

Smash the alarm then remove the 2 Maglocks which are in the same position as the first hut and collect the Our Fellow Security Guard phone from the floor which will then task you with finding Jamal’s red truck.

Go North out of the security hut and follow the path down the road with the abandoned vehicles then head East to the crater. Clear the zombies where Jamal will appear wearing a full set of riot gear so smack him about until the armour comes off and take him down.
