Here is the Dead Island 2 Missing: Shane lost and found quest which won’t help you find Shane. You will, however, learn where Shane has gone and take down several of his colleagues along the way. For me, I did all of the lost and found quests after having completed the main story so keep progressing through the game until the Missing Person lost and found quests appear on the Missing Persons board in the Serling Hotel on Ocean Avenue.
Missing: Shane, for me, became available once I had completed the Missing: Davis lost and found quest so ensure you have that one done then revisit the Missing Persons notice board where Missing: Shane will then be available.
Quest giver: Collect the Missing: Shane note from the Missing Persons board in the Serling Hotel.
Rewards: 2,000 XP, Pay It Forward Skill Card (Slayer deck).
Collect the Missing: Shane note from the Missing Persons notice board in the Serling Hotel then fast travel over to Venice Beach where you can then go South East to the lifeguard tower.
Once you’re there, clear the zombies and deactivate the generator up the ramp removing the electrical hazard, go inside and collect the Offer Of A Lifetime note from the counter then head West to the next lifeguard hut after clearing the awaiting ambush.
When you get to the next lifeguard tower, clear all of the zombies in the local area including Nell the Lifeguard and collect the For Whom The Nell Tolls note she drops then fast travel over to The Pier.
Now that you’re in The Pier I recommend ensuring you repair your gear and match your best items to your level as you have a fight against one of the toughest Inferno Crushers I’ve ever encountered in Dead Island 2. After preparing yourself, drop down and head through Lifeguard HQ where you will come up against TJ The Lifeguard who is as tough as he is imposingly large.
You will also have a lot of normal zombies and Bursters to deal with in this fight so stay aware of your surroundings keeping pressure on TJ who will drop the Barbara or Bust Note informing you Shane might have just survived concluding the lost and found quest.
