WWE 2K22 Servers To Shut Down in January 2024!

Following a recent Tweet from the official WWEgames account I have to tell you that sadly the WWE 2K22 servers are to shut down in January 2024! Which isn’t even 2 years into it’s life span with the game originally releasing on console and PC on the 11th March 2022!. This is, quite frankly ridiculous and a slap in the face to any gamer who purchased the game at any point since launch. I heard rumours about this but I dismissed them as I figured there’s no way a billion dollar company like the WWE would dump on its fans in such a way. I was clearly wrong there huh!

You will no longer be able to play online matches or download anything from the community so if you have put in any hard work making anything for the community then unfortunately, your hard work and efforts have gone to waste. We have a full guide put together for WWE 2K22 as well as WWE 2K20 but we made the decision to not cover the latest entry as quite frankly the amount of you who had difficulties in unlocking trophies and or achievements due to an over bearing presence of glitches, issues and generally poor coding was embarrassing to be a part of.

Griffins Gaming Guides is very far away from a large channel or website but we genuinely care about the player experience and whilst it would have been easy to throw a few guides out and make a bit of revenue, the fact so many of you have continuing issues isn’t something I’m prepared to tolerate as a guide creator. If you have anything left to do in the online components of WWE 2K22 of which there are 12 trophies to earn I suggest you get in there quickly. Feel free to make Boosting sections in Discord and help each other before the 3rd of January as from that point on the Platinum will be unobtainable which is such a shame. The trophies you can no longer earn from the 3rd January 2024 are:

  1. Journey Of A Lifetime.
  2. Faction Wars Champion.
  3. Briefcase Winner.
  4. Loyalty Confirmed.
  5. Taste of Victory.
  6. A Promising Start.
  7. One Small Step.
  8. A Good Start.
  9. Weekly Winner.
  10. Daily Progress.
  11. Chapter and Verse.
  12. Champion For A Day.

For me, any future WWE 2K entries will now have a black mark against them whether it be paid coverage or not as I can’t accept things like this going on moving forward so thank you to everyone who has clicked, viewed an enjoyed our WWE content but I sadly have to bid farewell to this franchise as I won’t have you being neglected by such a wealthy backing company and I know the game has its own development studio and publishers but it’s not the point. The fans deserve a longer stint than just under 19 months for a full priced game!
