Here is the Black Myth Wukong Fuban boss guide which will help you summon then take down the King of Beetles who has sunk beneath the sand and can only be called upon by having a King bang the drums.

Location: Yellow Wind Ridge, Kingdom of Sahali, Sandgate Pass.
Rewards: Wind Tamer Vessel, Sky-Piercing Horn.
Fuban is a Yaoguai King who can be fought in the secret Kingdom of Sahali which is accessed by firstly completing the Drunken Boar Quest where you can then follow the Yellow-Robed Squire boss through the gate. Take out the Tiger Vanguard (Chief) boss then go through and speak to the King who will summon Fuban. Drop down off the cliff then run forward to begin the fight.

Fuban will come at you from underground, leap into the sky then slam down on the ground, avoid the slam with Cloud Step if needs be then begin attacking the front claws as these are the only areas which can take damage ensuring you avoid the swipes and slams as much as you can. This fight is a hard hitting lesson in hitting then moving and as Fuban will be the largest boss you have fought in the game you will have to move fast to avoid the reach it has.

Stay above half health as much as you can as if you get caught in a one-two you will more than likely be back to the Shrine. Spells like Immobilize and Azure Dust are next to useless here given Fuban’s size, he can shake Immobilize very quickly so only use it if you need to heal quickly then get straight back on the offense.

After dealing a significant amount of damage to Fuban it will burrow down then come at you from under the sand before breaching and trying to either crush you or impale you with its horn, these attacks can be rough to evade so do your best and heal as required. You will need to survive a good few attempts by Fuban from under the sand where a cut-scene will then trigger.

The King will bang the drums louder which then stuns Fuban for a time allowing you to jump up on its back and absorb the Buddhas Eyeball from the Statue head just as you will have done before taking on the Shigandang boss in Fright Cliff. Upon extracting the magic, the King will then be able to use his Wind attacks so will now jump down to aid you in battle.

Fuban willl go on the offence but as the fight has turned into a 2 vs 1 in your favour you should be able to wail on Fuban enough, focusing on the claws whilst watching the King beat on the Beetle stripping decent chunks of health off. Keep fighting until Fuban is brought down, sit back and watch the King go to work slaying the beast before the sands reclaim the corpse.
