Black Myth Wukong Yellow Wind Sage Boss Guide

Here is the Black Myth Wukong Yellow Wind Sage boss guide which will help you bring down the final boss in Yellow Wind Ridge which concludes Chapter 2, this guy can be a serious challenge although there is a nice way to prevent his strongest attacks.

Location: Yellow Wind Ridge, Yellow Wind Formation, Windseal Gate.
Rewards: Fuming Ears Relic, x2,583 XP, x1,944 Will, x1 Samadhi Wind Agate, x2 Cold Iron Leaves, x5 Silk, x2 Yaoguai Core, x1 Refined Iron Sand, x1 Mind Core.
You can fight the Yellow Wind Sage by opening then Windseal Gate then going right down into the tornado. The Windseal Gate can be opened once you have received the Sterness of Stone and the Sterness of Tiger Key items which are acquired by defeating the Stone Vanguard boss as well as the powerful Tiger Vanguard (King) boss.

The Yellow Wind Sage is the master of the Samadhi Winds and will use wind magic against you with great efficiency in the fight, to negate the majority of his attacks ensure you have the Wind Tamer Vessel equipped which you will receive once you have defeated the Fuban boss in the Kingdom of Sahali which is accessible after taking down the Yellow-Robed Squire boss during the Drunken Boar quest. You can activate the Vessel during the fight by holding R2 then tapping R3 which then prevents all wind magic as well as confining the boss to the ground for a time allowing you to get in there with your hardest hitting attacks.

The Sage will wield a trident with deadly efficiency and will have you dodging left, right and backwards in an effort to avoid the heavy hitting combos that come your way, most of which mix up the timings and move sets just to increase the difficulty when it comes to survival and with spells like Immobilize being fairly ineffective unless you have maxed them out you could be in for a bad time here.

Every so often the Sage will jump in the air, slam his trident into the ground and create a nasty pulse attack towards you which summons more tridents from the ground so use Cloud Step to get behind him, punish with the kick unless you need to heal then get in some heavy attacks providing you have the focus points banked.

When the Sage begins conjuring a mini sand storm, use the Wind Tamer (R2+R3) as this will not only disrupt the attack but also confine him to the ground for a few seconds so heal if needed then get your heaviest attacks in as he tries to get back up which can turn the tide of battle in your favour depending on how strong you are at this point.

Continue your assault avoiding the stamps, swipes and slashes then if the Sage does manage to reconjure more Samadhi Wind it be unlikely you can use the Wind Tamer again given its long cooldown so be prepared to dodge an ethereal Fuban landing on you which can take around 75% of your health as well as being hard to avoid it can seemingly come out of nowhere depending on the camera.

Near the end of the fight the Yellow Wind Sage will become desperate, attacking you with mini tornados, mixing up previous combos to include the trident pulse and then spinning attacks so transform if you can and use every Spell, Spirit and ability you have available until you bring the Rat guai down.

That’s the Black Myth Wukong Yellow Wind Sage boss guide complete, I hope it helped you conclude Chapter 2, time to embrace the cold.
