Borderlands 4 Legendary Pistols

Here we will go over where you can find all of the Borderlands 4 Legendary Pistols which are useful if you are out of ammo on your harder hitting guns and some of the Legendary Pistols in Borderlands 4 can out shine some SMGs and even Assault Rifles. Legendaries are some of the best items you can equip in Borderlands 4 and for the most part they are incredibly powerful / useful items which can carry you through some of the tougher missions. Don’t get me wrong them some of the legendary Pistols in Borderlands 4 are complete duds and whose only use is to be sold save for some strict use cases.

Bare in mind there are many variations of Pistols but the base name will always be the same. The prefix will determine the type of attachments that a given gun will have, you might have a completely different prefix which can lead to some confusion but ultimately the legendary itself will have varying levels of efficacy based on the prefix you receive. The Legendary Pistols I have managed to find in Borderlands 4 so far are:

Budget Deity

Location: RNG drop from the Badass enemies.
Ability: D.O.P.E. Buoys, throws 2 Combo Orbsm which place the Atlas Target Lock on enemies damaged by the Combo Orbs.
Brand: TEDIORE.
Synopsis: A surprisingly effective Pistil especially as whenever it’s reloaded it will throw out 2 guns rather than the usual 1. Combine that with a high rate of fire and decent accuracy and you have yourself a decent weapon here.

Bully

Location: RNG drop from a red weapons chest.
Ability: Defence Protocol, when Gun Shields are activated, launches an Attack Drone every 14 seconds.
Brand: ORDER.
Synopsis: A decent little Pistol with very high fire rate. The drone that releases does a bit of damage but it’s negligible compared to the damage the gun does. A mid-tier Pistol that if you find early on can carry you through the earlier missions but not one I would go back and farm for.

King's Gambit

Location: RNG drop from a Gun vending machine.
Ability: Holy Hell, when shot, thrown gun ricochets projectiles to nearby enemies.
Brand: Jakobs.
Synopsis: The King’s Gambit isn’t going to rock your World damage wise and the other cool thing about is when you reload it takes on the Tediore style of becoming a small grenade which says King Me rather than the usual Shoot Me. One good benefit about the orb is when you shoot it, it will fire bullets out in a ricochet so chuck it in the middle of a pack and shoot the orb rather than the enemies to inflict heavy damage. A mid-tier Pistol which will see you through some encounters but only really effective against mobs.

Lucky Clover

Location: RNG drop from Horace.
Ability: Kismet, on reload, fires 2 homing rockets that deal up to 1,380 damage each..
Brand: Order.
Synopsis: The Lucky Clover is a bit of a wet one as Legendary Pistols go and one which is there for no real purpose. You have a low RNG chane of the gun dropping some loot for you upon firing but as you need to charge up to 5 rounds per shot and it’s a 6 round magazine that is low accuracy and minimal damage, this is relegated to a Pistol even the collector’s might not want to bother farming.

Noisy Cricket

Location: RNG drop from a Sidney Pointylegs, the optional boss who spawns at the Prospects Drill Site in the Fadefields.
Ability: Silence.
Brand: ORDER.
Synopsis: The Noisy Cricket is a brilliant Easter Egg from the Men in Black movie where Will Smith gets given a little gun with a massive impact. The Noisy Cricket in Borderlands 4 sends a single shockwave forward but it’s incredibly hard hitting for a Pistol and reloads quickly. Definitely a top tier Pistol.

Phantom Flame

Location: RNG drop from the Bango boss at the Tendercage Ripper Drill Site in Carcadia Burn.
Ability: Midday, zooming in acquires lock on targets over time and firing while zoomed in shoots the entire magazine.
Brand: Jakobs.
Synopsis: This Pistol is an absolute beast of a weapon, it just shred s through anything and is fairly wasted on low level enemies. You will need to become proficient at hip firing for low level enemies but as soon as you go ADS you will shred most larger enemies and rip chunks off a bosses health bar. Incredibly good Pistol this one.

Queen's Rest

Location: RNG drop from Callis, The Ripper Queen.
Ability: Royal Armory, fires high-speed rounds, and damaging enemies has a 30% chance to spawn a Homing Sticky Projectile.
Brand: Torgue.
Synopsis: The Queen’s Rest is a very good Pistol that can lay down some serious firepower be it impact or sticky (reload to trigger the explosions all at once). I wasn’t expecting much when I first saw this Pistol but now it is in my inventory a lot more than it perhaps should be as it just lays down a serious amount of hurt to anything stupid enough to get in its way. I recommend farming a Queen’s Rest.

Rangefinder

Location: RNG drop from the Primordial Guardian Inceptus boss at the back of the Vault of Inceptus.
Ability: Precision.
Brand: Daedalus.
Synopsis: The Rangefinder is a mid tier burst firing Pistol which has decent range and if you get an elemental version it can give it that extra boost of power as long as the enemy is weak to the element you’re using. The one I found also had a Sniper mode for the Alt Fire mode but it didn’t really change how the gun fired. Decent enough if you’re hurting for a Pistol but easily forgotten amongst the rest.

Roach

Location: RNG drop from Skull Orchid at the back of the Embossed Fault Auger Mine.
Ability: Flesh Eaters, shoots eggs that hatch flying roaches when attached to flesh, living or dead..
Brand: Torgue.
Synopsis: The Roach is on the weaker end of Pistols and not one I recommend you farm for. The overall power is lacking and the roaches which spawn to little to no damage even against weak, unshielded enemies. One for the collectors, not for the players.

Ruby's Grasp

Location: RNG drop from Vile Lictor.
Ability: Grasp: Reloading the gun fires 4 homing copies.
Brand: Tediore.
Synopsis: The Ruby’s Grasp is a top-tier Pistol and arguably the best in the game for damage output as it has a large magazine, fires like an SMG and throws out 5 exploding projectiles upon reloading meaning you can lay down some serious hurt on anything out there. Vile Lictor can be a pain to fight but it’s worth it just to get one of these which I don’t recommend unequipping once you have your hands on one. Incredibly good Pistol this!.

San Saba Songbird

Location: RNG drop from Rocken Roller in the Trinket Crevass Auger Mine.
Ability: Duelling Pistol: Deals +100% damage for 5 seconds after swapping guns.
Brand: Jakobs.
Synopsis: The San Saba Songbird is pretty good for a Jakobs Pistol and will fire as fast as you can press the trigger and the main benefit is as soon as you swap to this Pistol from another Gun you then have 5 seconds where it will deal double damage which works even if your other gun(s) you have equipped are out of their ammo types.

Seventh Sense

Location: RNG reward received by defeating World bosses across Kairos.
Ability: Proprioception, hitting enemies spawns Orbs that float upward and home in on targets on reload.
Brand: Jakobs.
Synopsis: The Seventh Sense is a decent Pistol with a Vial launcher as the alt fire which then makes enemies weaker to the regular rounds. You will probably find use for this one against bosses or single target powerful enemies if you don’t have anything better to bring them down. As for crowd control I’d look elsewhere.

Sideshow

Location: RNG drop from the Divisioner boss in the, The Wireworks Order Bunker.
Ability: Juggler: Let’s play a game. Shoot as many targets as possible before they hit the ground, and refill up to 2 ammo per target hit.
Brand: Tediore.
Synopsis: The Sideshow Pistol is fairly run of the mill Pistol with a funky paintjob, it will output fairly decent damage and has a good magazine size for its class but that’s about it. It stays in the mid tier as there’s nothing extraordinary about it but that said it is good as a sidearm when every other gun you have has run dry.

Zipper

Location: RNG loot from the Golden Chest.
Ability: Prison Rules, grants +75% critical damage and +75% damage when hitting a target in the back.
Brand: Daedalus.
Synopsis: The Zipper is a pretty decent burst fire Pistol which does a fair amount of damage from the front. If any enemy has its back to you then you will be really scaling the damage up heavily especially on the rare occasion where the enemy has a crit spot on its back like Idolator Sol for example. You can inflict severe damage on any enemy providing you can get behind them which will be a lot easier either in co-op or as Vex whilst she has Trouble on the field for example.

That’s all of the Borderlands 4 Legendary Pistols I have found so far, do you know of any I’m missing? Let me know.
