Borderlands 4 All Things Vend Trophy Guide

Once you’re ready to begin and have the required expendable gear sitting in your inventory, go to the Ruined Sumplands and speak to Penelope Streams to begin the Vend of the Line side mission then speak to the “Vault Gatherer” when prompted. Look behind the vending machine to find 4 symbols, there will be 2 green and 2 blue with red circles around and through them which signifies that you need to sell 4 items, 2 green and 2 blue rarity items to the vending machine. This will cause the vending machine to glitch out which will signify to you that you did the right thing.

You then need to go off and find 3 more vending machines with each one being a bit further away from the first than the previous one so if we go to the closest vending machine which will still be in the Ruined Sumplands, take out the Creeps then go to the vending machine’s location, however, it will be out of power so get up to the roof and flip the lever. Return to the now powered up vending machine and get behind it to see the next set of items you need to use which will be 1 green, 1 purple, 1 blue and another green. The difference is these items need to be purchased from the vending machine which is regrettably out of stock.

The only way around this will be to sell then buyback items in the following order: sell 1 green, 1 blue, 1 purple and 1 green then tab right to the buyback tab and purchase the items you just sold in the same order you sold them: 1 green, 1 blue, 1 purple and 1 green. If done correctly then the vending machine will glitch out as the previous one did.

Head to the next marker then examine the arrows on the vending machine which has fallen down onto its front, follow the arrows as they would have been when the vending machine was standing so that means you’re going up. Line up a big double jump to get to the ladder then go right, mantle up the rice bags then look through the window. Fortunately, for this vending machine you won’t need to to do anything apart from look at the code as the mush who has been flattened by the vending machine will punch the code in and give you the next part of the coordinates. Once the dialogue has completed you can head over to the third vending machine.

Once you’re at the third vending machine there will be an NPC arguing with it so hit the machine when prompted then shoot the machine to kill the NPC, don’t worry, it won’t cause any consequences, this is Borderlands after all, what’s another death!?. Go behind the machine using the crawlspace to the left (shoot the board if it wasn’t destroyed in the electrical blast) then look to see you need to sell 1 green, 1 purple, 1 blue, 1 purple. With the items sold in the correct the vending machine will glitch out like the others have.

Go to the fourth vending machines location which will now be revealed and clear the Rippers, go up behind the vending machine and look down pass the car engine to see the next order you need to sell items in which will be, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 purple and 1 legendary (any legendary will do so use a Class Mod for another character or a low level gun etc.). The vending machine will now glitch out and you need to follow the power cable behind it down to the entrance of a cavern system where more Vault Gatherer’s are trying to breach through.

Get down to the lower level of the cavern and interact with the light emitting vending machine which will, after some dialogue, turn into Vend Zane, a powerful enemy you need to defeat which then staggers the vending machine. Now you need to pay attention to this next part as it will conclude the side mission, but you won’t unlock All Things Vend so ensure you DO NOT BUY A LEGENDARY WHEN PROMPTED!, instead, look at the wooden panel the vending machine was standing on to reveal another sell code which will be to sell 3 green items and then BUY 1 Legendary from the available stock. If you buy the Legendary before selling the 3 green items the trophy WILL NOT UNLOCK, you MUST sell 3 green items first.

Once you have sold the 3 green and then purchased any legendary the staggered Vend Zane will drop a Picture of Zane and Levaine which you need to collect. With the photo in hand, return to Zane who is at Moxxi’s Bottoms Up bar and give him the photo which makes him reminisce about times past. Penelope Streams will then call you over comms and once she is done the Vend of the Line side mission will conclude and with the photo delivered, you will also unlock All Things Vend.
