Armored Core 6 Chapter 4 Bosses

Here are all of the Armored Core 6 Chapter 3 bosses of which there are 14 found throughout the fourth chapter of the  game. These bosses are main story bosses with the other other optional bosses needing be taken down either for progression, Combat Logs or just because you can. Bosses are much tougher than regular enemies regardless of their type and you will need to vary your build depending on your opponents abilities. Agility is usually a good option to favour in Armored Core 6 as, especially in the early game you won’t survive long if you try tanking hits, especially from the main story bosses as they can shred your health in seconds if you give them the chance. If they can’t take touch you, however, they can’t hurt you.

Chapter 4 Bosses

The bosses you’ll encounter throughout Chapter 4 are broken down across all 3 required playthroughs you need to complete as you go for the following endings:

The Fires of Raven Ending.

Liberator of Rubicon Ending.

Alea lacta Est Ending.

The Fires Of Raven Ending

AB08: Nepenthes

Mission: Underground Exploration – Depth 1.
Nepenthes is a defence system which will be firing at you from the bottom of the shaft so use the pillars for cover as you descend then after opening the floor you will have to evade plasma missiles as well. It will be better to take a few hits from a the missiles than it will be to take 1 laser blast from Nepenthes so try not to fall into a trap. Once you’re down at the base of the shaft aim at the neck and decommission Nepenthes.

Head Bringer / G5 Iguazu

Mission: Underground Exploration – Depth 2.
Restore the power to the first locked door then go through the tunnel and down the ramp where G5 will ambush you and given the confined space and his agility it can feel like a tough battle. There is a Sherpa after the fight so don’t hold back any resources and shred him down to size.

AAP03: Enforcer / Enforcement System.

Mission: Underground Exploration – Depth 2.
You will face the AAP03 Enforcer / Enforcement System boss at the end of the Underground Exploration – Depth 2 mission and it is severely challenging. Possibly the toughest boss you will have come across yet as it has multiple layered attacks designed to shred your shield and stagger you then punish you with next level attacks. The range of the melee attacks are unmatched across anything else in the game so keep more distance than you usually would and unload hell into this thing in an attempt to drop it. Good luck with this one, it’s tough.

IA-C01: Ephemera / Enforcement System

Mission: Underground Exploration – Depth 3.
Make your way through into the generator controls and destroy the module which begins a timer for you to escape. Go back into the central room where the Ephemera / Enforcement System will awaken and ambush you and this dude is challenging given all the Rubicon tech it’s rocking. Ignore the timer but make sure you focus on putting this down quickly, if you’re staring at the timer instead of focusing on the fight it won’t end well usually so put the Mech down then worry about escaping before the whole compound explodes.

Liger Tail / G1 Michigan

Mission: Intercept the Redguns.
Choose the Intercept the Redguns mission on your first playthrough as you work towards unlocking the Fires of Raven ending where you will have to take down an entire enclave of Redguns as well as the impressive G1 Michigan, the leader of the Redguns who is in a very powerful Tetrapod AC which is equipped for decimating countries never mind what it can do do to your AC. Clear the local enemies then focus fire on Michigan whilst using the arena you’re in for cover but make no mistake this is a serious challenge to come away from this mission successful. Even after putting Michigan down you still need to clear any remaining Redguns before the mission will complete.

Steel Haze / V. IV Rusty

Mission: Unknown Territory Survey.
Head down through the caverns passing the Mealworms to the final cavern where V.IV Rusty will come in and try to take you down. Rusty is very fast and packs a serious punch with that Laser Slicer of his when staggered so be sure to stay as mobile as you can to prevent staggering then use melee attacks as a priority to hit Rusty which should then be followed up with hard hitting back weaponry like the Earshots.

Reach The Coral Convergence Bosses

Bosses: Infection / V. VI Maeterlinck & Li Long / G3 Wu Huahai.
Go to the battlefield after beginning the Reach the Coral Convergence mission and take down both V.VI Maeterlinck and G3 Wu Huahai who are battling the PCA who, incidentally, will attack you as well. It doesn’t matter which order you take the ACs down in but either way I do recommend doing so after you shred the PCA giving you room to focus on the real danger.

IB-01: CEL 240

Mission: Reach the Coral Convergence.
CEL 240 is an incredibly challenging opponent who is guarding the Vascular Plant. Ensure you use the Sherap before dropping down into the lake to fully replenish your Rekits and ammo then get read to have your teeth kicked down your throat several times over. The Coral weapon is a 2 phase back to back boss fight so after you defeat it for the first time, get ready for a tough fight immediately after this thing revives itself. Using a full tank build with dual Stun Needles and either Plasma Rifles or Gatling Guns combined with maybe a Laser Lance or a Blade for increased range. Make no mistake, this fight is set up as a brick wall of a fight, you need to know the game incredibly well to be able to beat this guy as it serves as the doorway to the endgame. Good luck 621.

Liberator Of Rubicon Ending

Ambush The Vespers Bosses

Bosses: Reconfig V.V Hawkins & Dual Nature / V.VIII Pater.
During the Ambush the Vespers mission you will have 2 very powerful ACs to take down in V.V Hawkins and V.VIII Pater. It won’t matter who you engage first but wait for the go sign before dropping down and engaging them. Fortunately it’s not a 2vs1 as you have an ally but ignore the help and focus on shredding both of the Redguns yourself as in my experience at least, your colleague doesn’t really do much.

Unknown Territory Survey Bosses

Mission: Unknown Territory Survey.
Go down to the final cavern as you will have done on your first playthrough and engage Rusty again, except this time, Middle Flatwell will appear to help his Nephew bring you down making this fight a lot more dangerous than usual. Wide spread weapons like Earshots and the Explosive Thrower can do incredible damage against the duo as can weapons like the Laser Lance or Plasma Rifles.

Alea Lacta Est Ending

Deadsled / Coldcall

Mission: Underground Exploration – Depth 2.
On your third playthrough where you would usually fight G5 Iguazu you will instead find Deadsled / Coldcall coming down the ramp to ambush you instead and this guy can smack you about for fun so keep your senses sharp and keep your distance to avoid that plasma discharge. He’ll be dead soon enough with the skills you have picked up along the way.

Barren Flower / V.III O'Keefe

Mission: Eliminate V.III.
Barren Flower is your sole opponent and one who can be incredibly frustrating to deal with as he can spend a lot of time out over the abyss so use long range weaponry to deal with him like the Songbirds or any sort of Homing Missile Launcher to lock on the hope you hit him. If and when he does come close to solid ground make the most of it and give him a beating to either keep him there or hope that he doesn’t go back over the chasm.

Reach The Coral Convergence Bosses

Bosses: Open Faith / V.II Snail & Head Bringer / G5 Iguazu.
On your third playthrough after you take down the 2 ACs in the Reach the Coral Convergence mission you will then receive different instructions to usual which task you with finding and defeating V.II Snail so follow the marker down through the tunnels to the arena and begin the fight. Halfway through G5 Iguazu will make yet another appearance in the game so finish Snail off then bring Iguazu down which should be routine at this point given the amount of times you’ve had to kill him.

That’s all of the Armored Core 6 Chapter 4 bosses, who was your favourite to fight?.
