Here we will go over how to collect all of the Astro Bot Camo Cosmos Puzzle Pieces of which there are 16 spread throughout 5 of the main Worlds as well as 1 Puzzle Piece which will appear randomly on the Camo Cosmos map.
Collecting all of the Puzzle Pieces in Astro is required to build the Golden Boy Statue at the Crash Site and you will also gain access to more goodies along the way. The Puzzle Pieces are usually in obscure locations off the beaten track or well hidden on the main path which can make them hard to find and easy to miss unless you look everywhere in a given stage. You will be able to find all 16 of the Camo Cosmos Puzzle Pieces at the following locations:
Hieroglitch Pyramid
Puzzle Piece 1
After acquiring the Steel ball ability, roll down the spikes then look right before exiting to see the puzzle piece you can roll over to.
Puzzle Piece 2
Come out of the room where you acquired the Steel ball ability, go left back the way you came then look at the wall just to your left to see a small cut-out.
Activate your Steel ball ability and roll through to a small room with a treasure chest inside of which will be the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
Roll left along the spikes ensuring you don’t fall down through the hole then activate your Steel ball when you’re on the black plate to bounce up to the top of the blocks which were trying to crush you.
Ordinarily you would go left to continue the level, however, if you go right over the blocks you will come to a grated section where you can collect the puzzle piece.
Bubbling Under
Puzzle Piece 1
Swim through to the large open section where the main part of the level takes place then go right staying low to see a forcefield you can enter.
Look on the central pillar to find the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 2
Go around to the left of the area then dive down in between the surface and the depths where the shipwreck is where you will see a forcefield built in to the wall on your left.
Inside the wall will be a Sentry swinging a ball and chain around. Carefully take it out to reveal a section of sand you can burrow down into with a charged punch.
Punch the treasure chest to reveal the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
Dive down into the depths where the shipwreck is and go round to the right to see 3 sets of coral.
Hit all 3 coral to reveal coin chests then with the third coral hit you will be able to grab the puzzle piece which spawns in the middle of the trio.
Balloon Breeze
Puzzle Piece 1
The first puzzle piece can be found on the first yellow flower to your left after landing in the stage.
Punch the ladybug over to the yellow flower then bounce on its belly to get enough height where you can then grab the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 2
Get up to where the 3 logs are laying on each other you can use for cover whilst the inflated enemy fires a barrage of rockets at you. Take out the inflatable enemy then use your float ability to get enough altitude so you will be above the log which is standing up.
Fire your rocket boots over the log to slice it in half which then reveals a set of wires you can pull which reveals the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
The third and final puzzle piece in the balloon breeze stage can be found above the blue inflatable plane after you have brightened the area. You can either drop down above the puzzle piece from the yellow inflatable or stand directly under the puzzle piece, jump up, activate your rocket boots then float up where you will just be able to grab the puzzle piece.
This one might take a few attempts but you will get their if you float up at the peak of your jump.
Spooky Time
Puzzle Piece 1
Get pass the first 2 set of knives, go forward and take out all of the enemies. Go to the back of the area where you will see a flower you need to do a charged punch on which will lift several platforms for a very short time.
Once the platforms are as high as they can be, slow time and jump across to the left where you will be able to grab the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 2
Take out the 3 Pumpkins, the fire breathing Lizard and any other enemies then look to your right to see a series of wires you can pull to the remove the wall.
Upon removing the wall slow time as you will have an inbound artillery round from the Pumpkin who has very good tracking so put it down then use the small bounce robot to your right to get up high.
Go forward collecting the coins which reveals a possessed coin you need to slow time to be able to hurt so defeat it then pull the wires which spawn to reveal the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
In the final area where all of the items are spinning around where the 3 ghosts are. There is a puzzle piece on one of the items which you will be able to see by slowing down and panning the camera around.
A good place to start will be by standing on the central pillar, slow time down, quickly find the puzzle piece then jump over to it. If you do die, don’t worry as once you have the puzzle piece you won’t need to collect it again so do a rush for it then get back through the area if you do run out of time whilst getting back to safety.
Going Loco
Puzzle Piece 1
Roll into the orange tunnels then tap R2 to split yourself down allowing you to get through the tight space.
At the bottom of the tunnel go right to find the puzzle piece in a small cave.
Puzzle Piece 2
After rolling down the yellow hill and smashing through the wall you will need to stay central whilst navigating a tight walkway.
You will roll over this puzzle piece as you go as it is directly on your path.
Puzzle Piece 3
Continue through the stage to the snowy area then stay large so you don’t slip through the narrow pillars. Look over to your left to find 3 snow covered trees each of which you need to hit into.
Continue hitting the 3 tress until the puzzle piece appears in the centre of the trio which you can then collect.
Camo Cosmos Map Puzzle Piece
There will, at random be a UFO flying around who spawns in the South West then takes a Northern trajectory before going East.
You will need to be quick as the UFO moves fast so use your boosters and smash into the UFO to receive the puzzle piece.
