Here we will go over how to collect all of the Astro Bot Tentacle System Puzzle Pieces of which there are 16 spread throughout 5 of the main Worlds as well as 1 Puzzle Piece which will appear randomly on the Tentacle System map.
Collecting all of the Puzzle Pieces in Astro is required to build the Golden Boy Statue at the Crash Site and you will also gain access to more goodies along the way.
The Puzzle Pieces are usually in obscure locations off the beaten track or well hidden on the main path which can make them hard to find and easy to miss unless you look everywhere in a given stage. You will be able to find all 16 of the Tentacle System Puzzle Pieces at the following locations:
Go-Go Archipelago!
Puzzle Piece 1
At the very start of the level hold down both triggers and boost your controller through the gap then avoid the next section of shipwreck. You will see a bird flying from the right to the left of the screen with the Puzzle Piece which is easy to miss.
You can restart the stage as many times as you need to adjusting your flight angle as required until you manage to collect the Puzzle Piece.
Puzzle Piece 2
Climb the first Monkey wall then look over to your right to see a clam chest you can open by holding both triggers which will have several small rocks inside. Grab a rock then look to the right of the chest to see a smash marker on the wall.
Throw a rock at the marker to reveal a small Monkey wall you can climb where the Puzzle Piece will be at the top.
Puzzle Piece 3
Climb up the final Monkey wall where the planks fall across when you move to the next one then, once you’re on solid ground, look to your left to see a ledge you can jump to.
Pick up the large rock with both hands by holding down the triggers then throw the rock at the cliff wall where the smash marker is to reveal a small cave with the Puzzle Piece.
Downsize Surprise
Puzzle Piece 1
Shrink down and get up to the first level near the start of the biome then look left to see a tree stump with wires hanging out of the side. Pull the wires whilst you are big to reveal a small cut out at the base of the trunk.
Shrink down then go inside and jump up to your left to the ledge where the Puzzle Piece can be collected.
Puzzle Piece 2
Once you have climbed the rain pipes as tiny Astro and gone through into the children’s bedroom, go right to find a plant pot you can use to ascend to the upper level by charging a punch (hold Square).
Navigate your way up and across the items to the air conditioner unit which will allow you inside once the vents are open enabling you to collect the Puzzle Piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
Continue through the Downsize Surprise stage to where you will need to run across the clock hands as tiny Astro. You need to watch for the second hand which will be clockwise around the clock face.
You can jump on to the second hand when it is either on the left or right side of the clock then jump and boost either left or right to the Puzzle Piece.
Trunk Of Funk
Puzzle Piece 1
Once you enter the level stay right with your boosters on where you will be able to go through a tight tunnel on the far right side before you land where you can collect the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 2
Go to the right of the large green bulb near the start of the level where a Squirrel will come out of a hole every so often. Look over to the golf cup where the flag is sticking out.
You need to punch the ball whilst pointing the camera directly at the cup (hole) which may take a good few attempts to get the angle correct.
Once you do hit the ball in the cup you will reveal the Puzzle Piece you can then go over and collect.
Puzzle Piece 3
Towards the end of the biome you will be come up against a large tulip who regurgitates enemies on to the platform for you to take down. Now that your pack can suck up honey, jump up and place a honey bubble then jump up from the bubble where you can hit the tulip flower twice to defeat it.
In the centre of the now safe platform will be a big puddle of honey. Suck it up with your pack to reveal a small hole you can drop into to find this Puzzle Piece.
Wormy Passage
Puzzle Piece 1
Enter the first cavern then look to the right of the checkpoint to see a gold crystal cluster. Punch the crystals away to reveal the Puzzle Piece you can collect.
Puzzle Piece 2
Continue through the biome to the area where you will pull the red splodge out the wall to fill the chasm with water and spawns mushrooms you can jump up to continue through the level.
Drop into the water tapping Cross to avoid sinking then go to the back alcove where you will be able to collect the Puzzle Piece. Alternatively you can jump off before making the water flow to grab the puzzle piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
As you are working up through the large pink Worm who eats you near the end of the level you will come across 2 yellow spiked enemies, take them out then continue up to the jump pad in the middle of the area.
Jump up then go left onto the small platform where you can collect the Puzzle Piece before continuing on your way out.
Bot Of War
Puzzle Piece 1
Once you have assumed the role of, Kratos, smash through the gate then go to the back of the area where you will find a “Legendary Chest” from the God of War series.
Open the Chest to find the Puzzle Piece waiting inside.
Puzzle Piece 2
Proceed through the area to where the Elite is throwing its skull at you. Get behind the chain and smash the glass to defeat the Elite then look to the bottom right corner of the area to see a well camouflaged ice block.
Smash the block then use the jump pad to get up and forward where you can smash through 3 blue walls.
Once through you will see a large Raven tree at the back of the area. Go behind the Raven tree to acquire this Puzzle Piece.
Puzzle Piece 3
Swing the tree trunk to smash into Mjolnir knocking it down onto its side then cross the gap using the controller wire. There will be a blue jump pad in front of the Hammers’ base. Stand there but don’t use it yet.
Instead, look down to your left to see a platform you can drop onto. Ensure you have the Axe in hand then do a charged punch to spin the flower which then lifts the platform.
Throw the axe at the medal to freeze the gears in place allowing you to go onto the ledge and collect the Puzzle Piece.
Tentacle System Map Puzzle Piece
You will randomly see a robot UFO flying around with the Puzzle Piece on the main Tentacle System map. For me it spawned in the North East section and you need to be quick when it spawns.
Ram your ship into the UFO to obtain this Puzzle Piece.
