It is important that you speak with Yuan Soucheng in each of the first 5 chapters before you take down the final boss for that chapter as this will then cause him to move to his next position negating this trophy until new game plus at the earliest. Speaking with Yuan Soucheng will give you access to a very powerful Gourd and considering the bosses, enemies and locations you need to get through at the end of the game you will need all the help you can get.
The main point of speaking with Yuan Soucheng is he will give you access to one of the best Gourds in the gam which will be Mythical grade and grants you 10 uses which can be invaluable given the bosses you have coming up at the end of the game, especially when the Gourd is combined with the right Drink and Soak combinations your chances of survival will be greatly increased. Yuan Soucheng can be found in the following locations throughout Black Myth Wukong:
Black Wind Mountain
Location: Black Wind Mountain, Bamboo Grove, Snake Trail.
As you make your way up the hill from the Snake Trail shrine, go over to your right before the first Serpent enemy and speak with Yuan Soucheng.
Yellow Wind Ridge
Location: Yellow Wind Ridge, Yellow Wind Formation, Windseal Gate.
Proceed through the story acquiring both the Sternness of Stone from the Stone Vanguard boss and the Sternness of Tiger from the Tiger Vanguard (King) boss then open the Windseal Gate which leads through to the Yellow Wind Sage boss who concludes the Yellow Wind Ridge chapter. Before going right to fight the boss, go left along the canyon to the end where Yuan Soucheng will be examining paintings on the wall. Speak with him exhausting his dialogue.
The New West
Location: The New West, Pagoda Realm, Warding Temple.
You will come to Yuan Soucheng as part of the main story and you can speak to him once you have defeated the Macaque Chief (second encounter) boss. This is also where you will receive the Ring of Fire Spell.
The Webbed Ridge
Location: The Webbed Ridge, Temple of Yellow Flowers, Temple Entrance.
Yuan Soucheng can be found in the Webbed Ridge by going up the stairs from the Temple Entrance shrine then over to the right behind the gardens full of Worm Practitioner enemies, take out the Snake Sherriff Spirit then enter the room at the top of the stairs. Speak with Yuan Soucheng exhausting all of his dialogue options.
Flaming Mountains
Location: Flaming Mountains, Furnace Valley, Rakshasa Palace.
Follow the walkway around taking out the Bull Soldiers as you go then go left rather than following the main path round to the right and enter the cave. Speak with Yuan Soucheng exhausting his dialogue for the final time then interact with the flame in the centre of the room providing you have upgraded the Gourd to the Medicine Buddha Gourd using Luojia Fragrant Vines with Shen Monkey. Upon interacting with the flame you will receive the Mythical Supreme Gourd as well as unlock Always Accompanied.
