The Black Wind King is a mandatory boss you need to take down in order to enter the final section of Black Wind Mountain and he can be a challenge although given the fact you will have already defeated the Whiteclad Noble he is a lot simpler in comparison as the self proclaimed King only has the 1 health bar. That said he can hit very hard and create combos that if you are caught up you can easily be smacked back to the Shrine.
From the start of the fight you will have either a barrage of attacks to deal with or the King will turn in to mist and rush at you dealing damage if you are unable to dodge out of the way in time which can be tricky as the mist seems to have varied hit boxes so try your best with it and heal as needed before the King comes out of the mist which he does by creating a vortex in the middle of the arena before slamming down and you of course need to avoid the slam.
As the boss only has the 1 health bar, don’t hold back on your offensive spells, use Immobilize then the Wandering Wight headbutt before transforming with the Red Tides spell to inflict damage over time whilst avoiding the combos.
There are several nasty attacks the King will do chief among which is a spear combo that ends in a powerful beating that can health you per hit even with the best gear equipped so don’t go toe to toe with him, dodge, hit, dodge, hit and repeat until you have access to Immobilize again which then makes it safe for a short time to get in there with your own combos. Jumping heavy attacks as always are a very good way of staggering the boss so take the opening as it appears then punish until you bring the Black Wind King down.
