The Centipede Guai boss can be accessed by dropping down into the pit from either the Middle Hollow or Bonevault shrine which will be determined by the path you took from the Verdure Bridge shrine. Once in the arena get ready for some hard hitting attacks most of which will need to be double dodged to get out of the way of. The Centipede, given its size has a lot of range especially when it raises up then slams down into the ground, this attack can occur multiple times so manage your stamina well to avoid the majority of the slams.
Every so often the Centipede will roll into a ball then try to crush you which thankfully only hurts it won’t one shot you but it should still be avoided with Cloud Step being a good option as the decoy will then take the damage leaving you free to heal or charge up a heavy ensuring you wait for the Guai to stop rolling before you execute the attack as you can easily miss.
The most dangerous part of this fight by a long way, however, will be when the Guai calls on its brood to come and attack you as each mini Centipede who gets close will explode causing damage as well as inflicting Venom Bane which can easily overwhelm you so use a Transformation or Cloud Step to avoid most of the damage then continue to punish the Centipede until you bring it down.
