Black Myth Wukong directory.
Here we will go over all of the Black Myth Wukong Chapter 1 bosses of which there are 10 with 6 mandatory story bosses and 4 optional bosses all of whom I recommend taking down as the rewards you will receive are well worth the effort. Bosses are either main cinematic experiences or smaller fights either way, a boss for all intents and purposes is any enemy who has their health bar appear on screen and are a much greater challenge than the regular enemies and where the main difficulty in the game can be found. Some bosses as you are on the main path should be left for later as you will more than likely not be strong enough when you get to them at first, however, if you have the skills you can take them on. The bosses you can find throughout Chapter 1, their locations, rewards you will receive and the order I recommend you take them down are:
- Bullguard.
- Lingxuzi.
- Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang. Optional.
- Guangmou.
- Guanzhi. Optional.
- Wandering Wight. Optional, Missable.
- Whiteclad Noble.
- Elder Jinchi. Optional. Defeat Wandering Wight first.
- Black Wind King.
- Black Bear Guai.

The Wandering Wight is a powerful boss who you should avoid initially, come back once you have the Red Tides Transformation to stand a better chance at bringing this oversized shockwave inducing head down. You will be rewarded with a very powerful Spirit that can lead the way to treasures later in the game. Ensure you take the Wandering Wight down before defeating Elder Jinchi otherwise the Wandering Wight will disappear until New Game+. Refer to the Temple of Taint trophy guide for more information.
Whiteclad Noble

Elder Jinchi is a secret boss you can find in the Ancient Guanyin Temple which is accessible by ringing 3 bells around the Black Wind Mountain. Before taking Elder Jinchi on, ensure you have taken down the Wandering Wight boss as the Spirit you receive is essential for accessing a few hidden goodies and more bosses throughout the game. With the Wandering Wight defeated follow the steps in the Temple of Taint trophy guide then bring Elder Jinchi down.
