Black Myth Wukong Chapter 6 Bosses

Here we will go over all the Black Myth Wukong Chapter 6 bosses of which there are 16 with 7 mandatory story bosses and 9 optional bosses. Bosses are either main cinematic experiences or smaller fights either way, a boss for all intents and purposes is any enemy who has their health bar appear on screen and are a much greater challenge than the regular enemies and where the main difficulty in the game can be found. Some bosses as you are on the main path should be left for later as you will more than likely not be strong enough when you get to them at first, however, if you have the skills you can take them on. The bosses you can find throughout Chapter 6, their locations, rewards you will receive and the order I recommend you take them down are:

  1. Supreme Inspector.
  2. Feng-Tail General.
  3. Jiao-Loong of Waves. Optional.
  4. Son of Stones. Optional.
  5. Water-Wood Beast. Optional.
  6. Poison Chief. Optional.
  7. Poison Chief (second encounter). Optional.
  8. Poison Chief (third encounter). Optional.
  9. Poison Chief (fourth encounter). Optional.
  10. Lang-Baw-Baw. Optional.
  11. Gold Armored Rhino.
  12. Giant Shigandang. Optional.
  13. Cloudtreading Deer.
  14. Emerald-Armed Mantis.
  15. The Stone Monkey.
  16. The Great Sage’s Broken Shell.

Supreme Inspector

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x4,478 XP, x3,591 Will, Somersault Cloud Spell, Celestial Ribbon, Ascension Powder Formula, x2 Fine Gold Thread, x2 Gold Tree Core, Mind Core.
The Supreme Inspector can be a seriously challenging boss and one who may well make you regret beginning Chapter 6. Equip the Plantain Fan then use it once the Inspector creates the red ring of fire around you.

Feng-Tail General

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: Golden Feng-Tail Crown headgear armour.
The Feng-Tail General is a strange boss as you won’t actually fight it, instead, you need to ride it which will be a lot easier if you have all 5 Nonary Pills as well as the Fireproof Mantle Vessel. Jump on the oversized bug then hold on for dear life before being cooked almost to a crisp.

Jiao-Loong Of Waves

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,023 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread, Waterward Orb Curios.
Drop down off the cliffs from where you receive the Somersault Cloud Spell then land safely in the lake below. Go to the bubbling section of water to spawn the Jiao-Loong of Waves boss.

Son Of Stones

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x,2052 XP, x2,055 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread.
The Son of Stones boss can be found b y crossing the gully on the Somersault Cloud heading West where you will see a green glow which is the Son. Get behind him after safely landing then hit him a few times to begin the fight whilst being prepared to avoid so very side, hard hitting lighting based AOE attacks.

Water-Wood Beast

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,028 Will, x2 Refined Iron Sand, Mind Core.
Head West from the shrine then drop down onto the far lake and approach the bubbling waters. Ensure you have Cloud Step equipped to get out of trouble when the Hippo submerges then continue your assault when it’s resting from the onslaught.

Poison Chief

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,054 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread.
Jump on the Somersault Cloud then go out to the river and take a left. Land on the open area then approach the rock to spawn the Poison Chief.

Poison Chief (Second Encounter)

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,051 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread.
Jump on the Somersault Cloud then go North East from the Verdant Path shrine. Land in the open area then approach the rock to begin the fight.

Poison Chief (Third Encounter)

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,008 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread.
Jump on the Somersault Cloud then go North West from the Verdant Path shrine. Land in the open area then approach the rock to begin the fight.

Poison Chief (Fourth Encounter)

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: x2,052 XP, x2,032 Will, Cold Iron Leaves, Mind Core, Fine Gold Thread.
Jump on the Somersault Cloud then go North from the Verdant Path shrine. Land in the open area then approach the rock to begin the fight.

Lang-Baw-Baw

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Rhino Watch Slope.
Rewards: x2,986 XP, x2,714 Will, x2 Cold Iron Leaves, Celestial Birthstone Fragment Curios, Fine Gold Thread, Tadpole.
Lang-Baw-Baw can be found on the dried out section of land North of the Rhino Watch Slope shrine and can be very tough to bring down as it can turn to stone. Initially there will also be an Army of Soldiers there to attack you both but if you die they won’t respawn making the fight a lot more manageable.

Gold Armored Rhino

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Rhino Watch Slope.
Rewards: Gold Suozi Armor chest armour, x2,986 XP, x2,710 Will, x2 Cold Iron Leaves, Fine Gold Thread, Mind Core.
The Gold Armored Rhino can be found on the battlefield and is a very challenging opponent as you can only really hurt the Rhino when you have smashed the horn from its face. You will be able to one shot the horn by using the Wandering Wight Spirit but you will need to Immobilize first then act quickly as the horn grows back after a few seconds.

Giant Shigandang

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Verdant Path.
Rewards: Skandha of Consciousness.
The Giant Shigandang is a boss who you can fight at the end of the ravine in the Western side of Mount Huaguo, however, before the boss will aggro you firstly need to have acquired the following 4 Skandha’s throughout the game:

  1. Skandha of Form.
  2. Skandha of Feeling.
  3. Skandha of Thought.
  4. Skandha of Chaos.

Now you can summon the Giant Shigandang who will one shot you so stay back then smash the crystals.

Cloudtreading Deer

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Deer Sight Forest.
Rewards: Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders leg armour, Mind Core.
The Cloudtreading Deer boss is the only boss in the entire game which I would consider as being broken as the hitboxes on the boss are out of sync with the boss itself. You could land an attack that won’t register and if you evade an attack theres’a a good chance you will still take damage. That and the fact this is a powerful 2 phase boss you have a nasty fight on your hands here.

Emerald-Armed Mantis

Location: Mount Huaguo, Foothills, Mantis-Catching Swamp.
Rewards: Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers arm armour, x2,986 XP, x2,692 Will, Refined Iron Sand, Gold Tree Core, Mind Core.
The Emerald-Armed Mantis will only spawn once you have firstly beaten the Feng-Tail General, Gold Armored Rhino and the Cloudtreading Deer bosses which then causes the gold tree to be covered in mist. Approach the mist then watch the cutscene where you end up in Zhu Bajie’s stomach for the fight.

The Stone Monkey

Location: Mount Huaguo, Birthstone, Heart of Birthstone.
Rewards: None.
The Stone Monkey is found in the Birthstone and is a heavy fight. You will be up against a 2 phase demi god who you will probably die to a good number of times before you take the win.

The Great Sage's Broken Shell

Location: Mount Huaguo, Birthstone, Heart of Birthstone.
Rewards: None.
The Great Sage’s Broken Shell is the final boss in the base game and is a very tough fight as I’m sure you would expect being the final boss. Equip any item you have that increases your power in water such as the Serpentscale chest armour to increase your chances.

That’s where you can find and take down all of the Black Myth Wukong Chapter 6 Bosses. Who did you find the toughest to take down?.
