Kang-Jin Star is a very powerful boss who you will face once you land on the Turtle having finally escaped the Pagoda Realm and you might wish you stayed in the prison as this woman serves as the brick wall for a good number of players. Fights before this one have been tough, this is where Black Myth Wukong cracks its knuckles then checks you over before letting you pass. You need to prove you have the skills to survive this fight and if you aren’t able to secure the win, use the shrine to fast travel back to a previous area and spend some time levelling and improving.
From the start of the fight Kang-Jin will send homing lightning blasts your way in quick succession then begin her assault which can go a number of ways, you might have to endure a lot of combos most of which are lightning based whilst not forgetting the Shock bane in Wukong increases the amount of damage you take so getting caught in a light combo can still send you straight back to the shrine depending on your resistance.
Kang-Jin could alternatively morph into a Loong which rains lightning attacks on you before coming at you with either a large AOE lightning blast or a series of smaller, faster lightning orbs all of which can stagger you meaning get caught in the first one and you’ll more than likely not survive the rest.
When the boss starts absorbing electricity run away as you have a very powerful AOE to deal with which is a struggle to avoid even whilst transforming or in Cloud Step with distance being your best ally just ensure you manage your stamina as you work to get back in there with some more attacks of your own.
When Kang-Jin is down to around half health she will transform into a God like boss who hits a lot harder, more frequently and with more ferocity meaning it is very easy to be killed with 2-3 hits as you have everything from homing strikes to electrified metal spikes coming up through the ground which have quick tells before they appear so stay on the move to hopefully avoid them, if you do get caught out a double dodge will be required to get enough distance to avoid the impending blast.
Continue your assault whenever there’s an opening and utilise your best attacks as this is a 1 stage boss fight you won’t need to reserve anything as she won’t respawn like so many other bosses like to do just don’t waste anything until she is back in range as when Kang-Jin is in the clouds, nothing will touch her.
