Here is the Black Myth Wukong Man-in-Stone boss guide which will help you find and defeat a fairly simple boss who will be set in stone until you find the essence required to free him.

Location: Yellow Wind Ridge, Fright Cliff, Squall Hideout.
Rewards: x758 XP, x761 Will.
The Man-in-Stone boss can be fought by going right from the Fright Cliff Shrine and through to the end of the gulley, however, you won’t be able to awaken the Man-in-Stone until you have firstly defeated the Mother of Stones boss where you will receive the Stone Essence which then awakens the Man-in-Stone who will insult you when you speak to him.

Hit the Man-in-Stone when he insults you to begin the fight which can catch you off-guard with some heavy attacks so use Cloud Step after the first hit lands to create some distance then get back in there and pummel him. Given the number of bosses you will have defeated to this point the Man-in-Stone shouldn’t give you that much difficulty just don’t get caught up in any of his combos.

Fortunately the boss has a very low defence so it won’t take long for you to put him down then with that done you can then access the Man-in-Stone shop where you can purchase some essential items.
