There are 11 shrines in Chapter 1, Black Wind Mountain some of which will be locked behind optional quests and close to bosses, the 11 shrines are as follows:

- Loong Claw Grove (not available until Chapter 2 when you obtain the optional Loong Scales).

Ancient Guanyin Temple. Available once you have rung all 3 bells.
- Grand Chamber.

- Cave Interior.

Chapter 2, Yellow Wind Ridge
There are 14 shrines in chapter 2 which are found throughout main areas the story bosses lead to as well as in a secret hidden Kingdom, the 14 shrines are as follows:
Sandgate Village.
- Village Entrance.
- Bottom of the Well. You need to complete the Old-Rattle Drum quest and take down the Mad Tiger boss for this shrine to become available.

There are 25 shrines in chapter 3 with a good number of them being essential for you to visit given the difficulty of these areas. The 25 shrines are as follows:
