Black Myth Wukong Treasure Hunter Quest

Here we will go over how to begin and complete the Black Myth Wukong Treasure Hunter quest which can be started once you get to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake biome in The New West and before you can conclude the quest you will need to take down a powerful boss lurking in a hidden cavern. As long as you are following along with the Chapter 3 walkthrough you won’t miss any steps, if not then this is a quest you might never come across unless you are diligent at exploring so go West from the Shrine, take out the enemies who are ambushing the NPC then speak with the Treasure Hunter to initiate the quest then continue through the chapter until you get to the Forest of Felicity Shrine after sliding the ice slope.

Head down and through the Forest of Felicity to the Towers of Karma shrine and equip the Ring of Fire spell which you will have received earlier on in the game as part of the story and is done by going: Shrine> Self-Advance> Set Spells> Mysticism> Ring of Fire. You can go West a short way staying to the right of the area where you will hear the Treasure Hunter complaining about the cold whilst he’s sitting on a rock. Use the Ring of Fire Spell (R2+Square) which will trigger a cutscene where the Treasure Hunter defrosts.

From here you need to go to the Watermelon Field which is a biome you won’t know is there unless you explore every section of the map so to make things easier fast travel to the Brook of Bliss Shrine then turn around, cross the bridge and go right down the slope. Follow the lake over to the top right corner then carefully drop down the ledges and platform across the tree trunk until you are safely on the ground below. Rest at the Watermelon Field Shrine to create a checkpoint then go into the cavern where you will be ambushed by the Green-Capped Martialist boss who you need to defeat in order to receive the Spell Binder Spell as well as conclude the Treasure Hunter quest.
