Black Myth Wukong Zhu Bajie Boss Guide

Location: The Webbed Ridge, Webbed Hollow, Hut of Immortality.
Rewards: First fight: x3,410 XP, x2,607 Will. Second fight: x3,410 XP, x2,603 Will, x2 Fine Gold Thread, Blood Stained Needle, Jade Moon Rabbit Curios.
The Zhu Bajie boss fight takes place across 2 fights, however, as there are no other enemies or items inbetween i have put them in the same guide here so initially you need to enter the courtyard from the Hut of Immortality shrine then enter the courtyard. Zhu Bajie will appear and attack you with some slashing and swiping attacks with his rake which shouldn’t cause ou that many problems considering the bosses you will have needed to defeat to get to this point in the game and you can rest after the first fight so go all out and defeat Zhu Bajie who then flees once he’s defeated.

Rest back at the shrine then enter then go up the hill this time and squeeze through the crack in the wall. You will need your best gear including Cloud Step and a powerful Spirit such as either the Second Rat Prince or Apramana Bat then get ready for a very tough fight against Zhu Bajie who will have grown in size increasing his reach as well as his ferocity making him attack much faster than before. Initially you need to work on bringing Zhu Bajie down to half health where a cutscene will play whereby Zhu Bajie transforms into a large, very powerful Boar.

Avoid the swipes, thrusts, kicks, body slams and charges the Boar throws your way using Immobilize to heal if things get a bit to dangerous then continue your assault where the Boar will then transform into a Whale which can sink down below you, breach the water slamming you down, tail whipping you, rolling around the arena and being very difficult to control given the beast’s size. Continue to deal damage until the Whale then transform into a Rhino which can duplicate as well as charge at you with very powerful Stampede attacks. Either use Cloud Step or Transform to save your own health and continue to attack whilst playing defensively until the Rhino’s have finished their stampede.

Zhu Bajie will then either transform back in to the Whale or the Boar depending on how much damage you have done to the Rhino so continue your assault using anything and everything you have left available until you manage to drain the boss’ health bar which then thankfully concludes this tough battle. Zhu Bajie will now be released from the Spider’s Spell.
