Here is the Borderlands 4 Widely Beloved Mascot trophy guide which will help you complete all Claptrap missions of which there are 5 found throughout Kairos and some of these missions can be fairly challenging to complete if you go in early game so it might be an idea to leave these for the mid – end game but as the rewards can be plentiful it’s up to you. The Claptrap missions will unlock in a certain order which helps keep the flow of his storyline going.
Claptrap Missions
The Claptrap missions and a brief synopsis of what to expect as well as a video showing you the quests are as follows:
No Place Like Home
Location: The Fadefields, Hungering Plain.
Rewards: 5,633 xp, $2,500, 8 Eridium.
The No Place Like Home is one of the Claptrap missions and one which will require you to take down an Army of Synths and Soldiers so ensure you are geared appropriately before going in and accepting the side mission. Get over to the facility and collect the Keycard which then doesn’t let you in to the building. Turn around from the lever you pull then go down to the area behind the containers to find a button you can press to open the way through the building where you collect Moxxis portrait.
Go outside then after activating the laser, go down to the panels and move them using the tethers on the left and right sides to line the laser up with the door which then destroys the voice module you still need to retrieve. From here make your way up the sides of the building pulling the panels down with your tether until you are at the top of the building. Open the toilet and retrieve the mask from the corpse inside before heading back to Claptrap where you place the items and the explosives you need to collect on the small boat. Shoot the explosives when prompted to conclude this side mission.
Sum Of His Parts
Location: The Fadefields, Idolator’s Noose.
Rewards: 5,633 xp, $4,652, x10 Eridium, lots of guns, cash and customisation items.
Speak to Claptrap’s eye who will then ask you to retrieve his parts so go and collect his body on the wooden platform which has been turned into a Planter then return it to Clappy. Go over to the enxt marker, use your tether to get to the highest platform and collect the aerial which then opens the doors to the building inside of which both arms can be collected. Follow the path down to the Ripper camp then take the Wheel being used a treadmill. Return these items to Claptrap then destroy the Decomishinor to conclude the side mission.
Potty Mouth
Location: Carcadia Burn, Lopside.
Rewards: 31,787xp, $2,000, 5 Eridium, rewards chest containing a Shotgun and the ECHO-IVIV Frame.
Speak to the toilet then the leader and back to the toilet before summoning Claptrap in who will then transfer GEN-IVIV to his database. Head to the Order base and clear everyone out before going through and collecting the Prototype Drone. You then need to go through some basic transferring dialogue which causes GEN-IVIV to go on a killing spree so help her with it ensuring everything is dead. From there you will need to kill all copies of GEN-IVIV then take the AI chip to Moxxi’s Bottoms Up bar and choose to either delete or place GEN-IVIV in jukebox purgatory to complete the side mission.
Father Of The Glide
Location: Terminus Range, Stoneblood Forest.
Rewards: x31,787xp, $2,000, 4 Eridium, Bonn-91 Pistol.
Speak to Claptrap then work through a series of gliding obstacles which will be a lot easier for you to complete if you have unlocked and completed all 3 Vaults which then greatly increases your glide capacity and range. Complete the course then get back to the marker to conclude the side mission.
Peak Performance
Location: Terminus Range, Cuspid Climb.
Rewards: x31,787xp, $2,000, 4 Eridium, Bunker Shield, Bird of Prey Gun Skin.
Similar to Father of the Glide, work your way from platform to platform hitting the markers as you go. You will need to jump off to the sides every know and again to get the angle on the tougher jumps but everything is detailed in the video below for you to see how to do it all. Complete the course to conclude the side mission.
