Ghost
Plant the C4 in ‘Cliffhanger’ without alerting or injuring anyone in the blizzard.
Potentially one of the more challenging trophies but easily manageable with patience and precision. From the start of the mission, make your way up the cliff face, check your weapons and move forward, there will be 2 Sets of x2 Guards initially, take these both down using headshots only.
If you use a body shot it will not count towards this trophy was the other enemy will be alerted to the fact. Although all 4 of these Guards aren’t technically in the blizzard, alerting them can negate the trophy. Better safe than sorry.
Once the blizzard starts, make very good use of your heartbeat sensor, let Soap do the killing as you make your way through, stick to the left side of the road, hug the boxes when you see them as this will trigger a vehicle to drive past you. Proceed forward allowing Soap to take out any remaining enemies.
This might take a couple of attempts as the enemies do move about in this mission. Once you’re on the airfield, crouch and proceed forward to the marker. As soon as you plant the C4 and have not been detected or inflicted any injuries besides the 2 sets of 2 at the start of the mission your Trophy will unlock.
Colonel Sanderson
Kill 7 chickens in under 10 seconds in ‘The Hornet’s Nest’.
Make your way through the, The Hornet’s Nest mission until you reach the market, just as you’re nearly through you will have 2 sets of Chickens grouped together either side of the walkway.
Unload on these Chickens as quickly and effectively as you can, take out all of them on one side then quickly go to the other side and take the remaining Chickens out. If you weren’t quick enough to kill 7 in 10 seconds, reload from the last checkpoint and try again. Once you are successful, your Trophy will unlock.
Ten plus foot-mobiles
Kill at least 10 enemies with one Predator Missile.
The easiest way to get this is in the mission ‘Wolverines!’. After you’ve made your way to and defended Burger Town you’ll be told about a heavy infantry presence coming your way, equip the Predator Drone, when you see clusters of enemies fire off a Predator missile, towards the end of this section there’ll be 2 teams of 10 moving in on your position. Ensure you put the missile directly in the middle of the pack.
If you’re unsuccessful, reload from the last checkpoint and try again. As soon as you hear “10 plus foot mobiles KIA” over the radio your Trophy will unlock.
Unnecessary Roughness
Use a Riot shield to beat down an enemy.
The earliest you can get this trophy is in the mission No Russian. After the massacre, you’ll be attacked by SWAT Teams. A lot of SWAT will have Riot Shields.
Use Flashbangs to disorientate them. Once you’ve taken a few of them out, pick up a Riot Shield then run towards any enemy that doesn’t have a Riot Shield then press R3 to melee the enemy, killing them which will unlock your Trophy.
Knock-knock
Kill 4 enemies with 4 shots during a slow-mo breach.
The easiest way to get this one done is in the mission The Only Easy Day… Was Yesterday, just after the start of the mission you’ll be tasked with a breach & clear, breach through the door.
To the right, you’ll find 3 enemies directly behind the table in front of you, drop them with 1 bullet each, go for head-shots to ensure the kill, then hard turn left to face 3 more enemies. If you weren’t successful, quickly reload from the last checkpoint and try again.
Once you have successfully dropped 4 Enemies with 4 Shots before the slow-motion part of the breach has ended your Trophy will unlock.
Some Like it Hot
Kill 6 enemies in a row using a thermal weapon.
Another trophy you can unlock in the mission ‘Wolverines!’. Once you make your way on top of the roof opposite Burger Town, you’ll find a thermal Sniper Rifle.
Equip this weapon and take out at least 6 of the soldiers charging your position. Make sure you aim for the chest as that’s a larger target than the head, most enemies will go down in 1 shot when you’re playing on Recruit which makes things a lot easier.
If you’re unsuccessful, reload the last checkpoint and try again. Providing you get at least 6 kills in a row with the thermal scope, your Trophy will unlock.
Two Birds with One Stone
Kill 2 enemies with a single bullet.
There are several places you can get this done, the easiest by far is at the start of the mission ‘Just Like Old Times’. The first set of enemies you find will have 2 Soldiers standing one in front of the other, equip your Rifle, line up the shot and take them both down, aim for the head on the closest soldier, aiming through to the other Soldier’s chest.
Once successful your Trophy will unlock.
The Road Less Traveled
Collect 22 enemy intel items.
See Leave No Stone Unturned for more information.
Leave No Stone Unturned
Collect 45 enemy intel items.

Drive By
Kill 20 enemies in a row while driving a vehicle.
Whilst there are a lot of guides out there saying get this done on the Cliffhanger mission, you’ll have a much easier time getting Drive By on the final mission ‘Endgame’.
You’ll be in a boat with an unlimited ammo SMG, so use this to your advantage, there are plenty of Soldiers lining the river banks so take them out, if playing on Recruit they’ll go down in 1 or 2 hits, the SMG will pretty much auto-aim as well, making this even simpler.
You can slow down by easing off the throttle which will make aiming a lot easier. Once you’re out in the open, there are more than enough Soldiers in boats to take down. If you can’t get enough kills in time, restart the mission, the enemies are always in the same place which will help you as well.
As long as you kill 20 or more enemies in a row your Trophy will unlock.
The Harder They Fall
Kill 2 rappelling enemies in a row before they land on their feet.
You’ll get this in the mission ‘The Only Easy Day… Was Yesterday’. After you breach & clear the second room, make your way up the stairs where you’ll be ambushed by a Helicopter and an offensive squad. A small portion of this squad will rappel down off to the left of the Oil Rig, you need to be quick to take them down before they hit the ground.
If needs be, do a dummy run a couple of times reloading from the checkpoint so you learn where the enemy will be, then go for it once you’re feeling confident enough. As soon as you kill 2 rappelling enemies before they hit the ground your Trophy will unlock.
Desperado
Kill 5 enemies in a row using 5 different weapons or attachments.
You can get this done in a lot of missions throughout Modern Warfare 2, however, the easiest by far is the ‘Takedown’ mission, after you take down Rojas’ right hand man, you’ll need to chase after the man himself.
On the way, you’ll face an army of Brazilian Guerrillas most of which have different weapons. You start off with an M203 Assault Rifle with an ACOG scope, get 1 kill firing from the hip then another kill aiming through your scope. That’s 2 of the 5 done straight away, switch to your secondary weapon which is an M1014 Shotgun and get a kill.
Now you need to look around on the floor and scavenge any other weapon, there’s a wide variety to choose from here from an MP5 SMG to an AA12 Shotgun, Uzi’s, LMG’s. As long as you get a kill with for example the MP5k then another kill with any weapon you haven’t previously used in this mission you’ll get your 5 kills in a row. If you do for whatever reason mess it up, say you get a double kill with the M1014 Shotgun, reload from the last checkpoint and try again.
As soon as you have 5 kills with 5 different weapons or attachments, your Trophy will unlock.
Look Ma Two Hands
Kill 10 enemies in a row using akimbo weapons.
You can get this done in the mission ‘Takedown’ after you jump down through the fence, make your way over to the far-right of the area, taking down the Militants as you go. Just as you round the first building you’ll see akimbo Uzi’s on the floor.
Pick these up, now to use akimbo weapons, if these are new to you, the R2 button fires the right side as normal, however, the L2 now fires the Left side weapon. Go for this one on Recruit to have a much easier time of it. There’s plenty of enemies in this area and most will go down with 2 or 3 shots, aim at one enemy (hip-fire) and fire off a couple rounds from one side, then find another enemy and switch sides.
Continue this until you have killed 10 Enemies in a row. If you’re too happy with the trigger, you’ll run out of ammo before you get the 10 Kills in a row. As soon as you have successfully killed 10 enemies in a row with akimbo weapons your Trophy will unlock.
No Rest For the Wary
Knife an enemy without him ever knowing you were there.
The simplest way I found of getting this done is in the mission ‘Cliffhanger’. After you take down the first 2 sets of 2 guards, make your way forward where a strong blizzard will envelop the area.
You’ll see a large watchtower just in front of you, press Left to enable your heartbeat sensor which will show you how close you are to the 1 Soldier at the towers’ base. Ensure the Soldier doesn’t see you and when you’re just in range, aim for his legs and press R3 to knife him.
If you’re unsuccessful, simply reload from the last checkpoint and try again. Use the video below for reference if it helps. As soon as you successfully take the enemy down without him noticing you, your Trophy will unlock.
Three-some
Kill at least 3 enemies with a single shot from a grenade launcher.
You can easily get this done in the 2nd mission, Team Player. At the start of the mission, you’ll be tasked with taking out a bunch of targets across the river, to equip your Grenade Launcher, press Left, line up a shot and fire off 1 grenade at a time, aiming for enemies that are grouped together.
If you aren’t successful, simply restart the mission until you get the triple kill where your Trophy will unlock.
Target Confirmed
Instruct the Honey Badger to kill 80 enemies in ‘Exodus’.
A very useful way of getting through the level, especially on the harder difficulty levels. To instruct the Honey Badger press Right to bring out a laser guidance pistol, wherever you aim and click, that’s where the Honey Badger will fire.
There are plenty of enemies in this level and 3 specific choke-points you need to focus on where there will be a lot of enemies. The first cluster of enemies will be at the first area you’ll need to clear, don’t fire at any target yourself unless you have to, use the Honey Badger to kill as many as you can.
Next up, when you get through to the drive-through and the barricade at the Gate House. You can get a good 40 kills here alone, stay in cover, only coming out to re-lase the targets. Your final choke-point will be after you cross the bridge, stay right behind the Honey Badger, peering out left & right to re-lase fresh targets.
If, by the time you clear the area and are then instructed to get to the VIP and you haven’t unlocked your trophy, you’ll need to restart the mission and try again. You should, providing you’ve not been aggressive throughout the mission have instructed the Honey Badger to have killed 80 enemies not long after you cross the bridge where your Trophy will unlock.
Angel Savior
Do not get your Predator Drone destroyed in ‘Contingency’.
During the mission ‘Contingency’ you’ll make your to the top of a crest where you’ll slide down to a village, on the top of this hill, you’re supposed to fire off a Predator missile which will then be destroyed by a hidden SAM launcher.
Simply don’t do this, instead, just slide down the hill at which point, your Trophy will unlock.
Do NOT push this button
Ring the red bell in both rooms and survive the attack.
Once you have completed the main campaign on any difficulty, you will unlock the Museum, which can be accessed from the main menu. Now before we get into the meat of the guide, it’s very important to know the difficulty in the Museum is set by the difficulty you completed your last campaign mission on.
So for example if you completed your last mission on Veteran, the Museum’s difficulty will be set to Veteran, so make sure you go off and complete any mission on Recruit before you go into the Museum to have your best chance of surviving the attacks.
Once you’re inside the Museum, take a minute to get you bearings, check out the weapons and then have a good look around all 3 rooms, take it all in. You see all those guys that are standing around doing their thing, they’re all going to come for you, one room at a time. If you kill any of these NPC’s before pressing the button (we’ll get to that) you will negate your chances of getting this trophy to unlock.
For me, weapon wise, I chose the ACR Assault Rifle for its’ stopping power and the L86 LSW LMG as it has the fastest reload time of all the LMG’s. But of course, this is a personal preference. Now then, let’s get to it.
Make your way to either room, I recommend the one on the right as this is the hardest room to clear. On the counter in the room will be a red button, hold Square to push the button then run to the middle room, get behind some cover and take the enemies down as quickly as you can.
Pay very close attention to one enemy in particular, a Juggernaut, this guy is heavily armoured, walks like the Terminator® and takes near enough a full LMG clip to his chest to take him out. Clear the rest of the enemies, then reload, refresh (ammo box in the either room) and get ready for round 2.
Same again, here, but this time the room on the left has much simpler enemies, hit the red button on the counter, run back to the middle room for cover and take them down as efficiently as possible. When you’re faced with the Riot Shielded enemies, throw a flashbang behind them to disorientate them, then take them down before they get a chance to recover.
Once you have cleared both rooms successfully, your Trophy will unlock.
The Student Surpasses the Master
Beat BX time in ‘S.S.D.D.’.
The roughest trophy in the game. BX has a time of 19.7 Seconds and you need to beat it, considering a standard run will be anywhere between 30-40 seconds that’s a lot of time to find.
Make sure you run as accurately as possible, getting as many double kills as you can, Do Not hit any civilians, if you do you’ve got no chance of beating the time. For every civilian you hit you’ll lose 2 seconds. Your accuracy needs to be at 200% to have the maximum amount of time deducted from your finishing time.
Make sure you use the M9 and USP pistols to keep your mobility as high as possible. Best advice I can offer, is just run the course over and over again, to learn where the targets are going to be.
As soon as you get a time of 19.69 seconds or less your Trophy will unlock.
The Real Gun Game
Complete any mission but ‘S.S.D.D.’ and ‘Endgame’ without reloading weapons or using melee attacks.
Another trophy you can earn in the ‘Takedown’ mission. It’s very important to not reload or press the Square button as this can negate your trophy. Pay very close attention to the dogs in this level, if you can’t take them out and they pounce on you, you either press R3 to take them out or you’ll be killed.
This might take a few attempts, but it is definitely doable. From the start of the mission, take down Rojas’ right hand man with only 1 or 2 shots to the leg.
Jump down through the fence, make your way right running past the enemies, you’ll see 3 x-rays come out of the house and run right, chuck a flashbang in front of them and keep running, when you get to the chain link fence, there’ll be a dog barking in there, take it out with as few shots as possible.
Switch weapons so you have your M1014 Shotgun equipped, stay left of the building, take out the next dog with one shot, proceed up the stairs and run straight through the next section, when you go right to go up the stairs, there will be an enemy, take him down with one shot. You might have 1 or 2 more enemies in your way, take them down with one shot each paying close attention to your ammo count (bottom right of screen).
When it comes to running across the rooftops, chuck a flashbang forward, which will more than likely get you as well, just keep running forward, when up around the next section, take out any enemy in front of you, chuck another flashbang when the militants run at you, take a left up the stairs where your Trophy will unlock.
Check the video below to see how it should be done if you’re struggling.
Precognitive Paranoia
Kill Shepherd.
You’ll be able to unlock this homage to the Loose Ends mission on PS3 / Xbox360 in the first mission S.S.D.D.
Once you’re done with the training at the range, head to The Pit. You’ll see Shepherd off to the left up top looking down on you, get the largest calibre weapon you can, there’s a Barret .50 cal over to the right of where you start the mission (not compulsory but a lot more satisfying) and stick a round in his head where you will unlock your Trophy.
Immortal
Complete every missions without dying or reloading to a checkpoint at any difficulty.
Although this sounds very daunting, it’s actually very manageable. Run through the game on any difficulty (veteran to get those trophies done and up your skills set at the same time). Once you’ve completed the game (not compulsory, but recommended) grab a pen and paper and jot down every mission in the game. The game itself will not track the missions you have done in order to unlock this trophy, so that’s on you to do:
- S.S.D.D.
- Team Player
- Cliffhanger
- No Russian
- Takedown
- Wolverines!
- The Hornet’s Nest
- Exodus
- The Only Easy Day… Was Yesterday
- The Gulag
- Of Their Own Accord
- Contingency
- Second Sun
- Whiskey Hotel
- Loose Ends
- The Enemy Of My Enemy
- Just Like Old Times
- Endgame
As you make your way through each mission, take your time. Be accurate, and use common sense. If you see a grenade, run away. If you know there are a lot of enemies up ahead, take your time and take them out or avoid them altogether. There’s no time limit here so don’t go balls out aggression. Try not to think of this trophy as you need to complete the entire game without dying.
Just do it mission by mission and cross them off the list, once you’ve successfully completed all 18 missions with no deaths or having reloaded to any checkpoint your Trophy will unlock.
Silent Skies
Destroy both BTRs without using Predator Drones in ‘Wolverines!’
Not the worst trophy in the game but can become a pain if you’re playing one anything over Recruit difficulty. If the BTR gets a lock on you it can shred you in seconds. After you’ve cleared the Garage, make your way over to Burger Town (far right building) go into the kitchen, and grab the RPG-7 as your secondary weapon.
Continue through the mission until you have cleared out every enemy whilst on the roof, make sure you use the ammo crate on the roof as this will give you more than 1 RPG missile to fire off.
Once the ground troop have been cleared, it’s at this point the BTR’s will show up, wait for them to drive away from each, take aim and fire 1 RPG round (on Recruit difficulty, 1 round will destroy each BTR).
Then simply run after the other BTR, carefully take aim with the RPG-7, let off another Missile, providing you destroy both BTR’s without using the Predator Drone your Trophy will unlock.
Clay-more
Kill 11 enemies using Claymores in ‘Loose Ends’.
Another trophy that sounds a lot worse than it is. To get this done, be super-aggressive with your Claymores and play-style. Make your way through the level until the 2 Jeeps come up in front of the house. Sprint up to either Jeep and place Claymores as the enemies are getting out, this should take out at least 5 enemies so you’re nearly halfway there already.
Once in the house, you can use Claymores to takedown near enough every enemy here. Providing you have this on Recruit difficulty you can pretty much sprint to an enemy, dump a Claymore using that to kill the enemy. Once you come under heavy attack, make sure you have plenty of Claymores on the front porch and between the kitchen and front door.
If you have any issues with this, reload the last checkpoint / mission and try again. Once you are successful your Trophy will unlock.
Bird Hunter
Destroy 10 choppers using the Javelin Launcher in ‘Of Their Own Accord’.
This is a lot harder than it sounds, stick the game on Recruit to have the easiest time of it here. Make your way up and through the building, until you come to a room with a blown-out corner section of wall, a few enemies and a Barret .50 cal set up in the corner. It’s in this room you’ll be getting this trophy.
In this room will be several Javelin Launchers, as soon as you’ve cleared the enemies, grab a Javelin, hold down L2 to aim, use the green markers to get an indication of where the Helicopters are, if the arrow is pointing to the right, aim right, if the arrow is pointing down to the left, aim down and to the left.
It will only take a couple of seconds for the Javelin to get a lock-on, once it does, fire off the missile straight away then go back to aiming to acquire another target. Start shooting at the Helicopters that are flying around, there will be 4 out in front of the building and one behind, to get the one behind, stand as far in the corner as you can (you won’t fall off) aim the Javelin behind you, get a lock-on, once the Chopper goes as far right as it’s going to (you won’t actually see this Helicopter, fire off a missile, if successful you will hit the chopper downing it.
Once you have taken down the first 5 Helicopters, use the Sniper Rifle to take out some ground troop. Once you get a checkpoint, equip your Javelin again and quickly take out the 5 new Helicopters, all of which spawn in front or to the left of the building. If you’re struggling, practice makes perfect here. I’ve got a full video walkthrough on this trophy below, that should help you out a lot, giving you a visual reference on how it should be done.
It doesn’t matter if the timer starts, ignore that and just focus on downing the Helicopters, as soon as you’ve downed the tenth Helicopter, your Trophy will unlock.
Hot Potato
Destroy the helicopter using frag grenades in ‘The Only Easy Day… Was Yesterday’.
This is a lot easier than it sounds, make your way through the level until the Helicopter comes up off to the side of the oil rig then hold down R1 to “cook” a grenade. Grenade’s, if you’re not aware “cook” for 5 seconds before they explode so count to 3 then throw the grenade making sure you’re aiming at the Helicopter.
It will take 2 grenades to down the chopper on any difficulty, however, I strongly recommend doing this on Recruit so you won’t really have to worry about the Soldiers firing at you. If you’re struggling with it, reload the last checkpoint and try until you get a feel for it. Check the video below if you’d like a visual reference.
As soon as the Helicopter has been downed your Trophy will unlock.
Clown in Training
The U.S. Army Rangers ain’t no place for clowns.
You’ll need to take out 3 clowns in the S.S.D.D. mission to unlock this trophy which are;
- Clown 1:
Once you complete the starting part at the range and Sgt. Foley tells you to go to The Pit, make your way to the right where you’ll find a Barrett .50 Sniper Rifle on a table. This Sniper Rifle has just 3 Rounds, 1 for each of the 3 clowns you need to destroy in order to get this trophy.
If it makes things easier you can hold down L3 to hold your breath steadying your aim.
The first clown will be over in the distance just over to the left of where you pick up the .50 cal, shoot this clown, ensuring to use only 1 round. - Clown 2:
For the second clown, you’ll need to be on top of the watchtower over to the far left of the Base, once at the top of the tower look over direct forward from the top of the stairs.
You’re looking for the blue roofed building, where the clown will be on the closest right corner. Shoot the Clown making sure you, again, only use one shot. - Clown 3:
The third and final clown will be at the North of the base, go into the makeshift bunker, look through the right side window, the clown will be to the right of the far-right hanger.
If you miss any of the clowns just restart from your last checkpoint and try again. As soon as you have shot all 3 clowns your Trophy will unlock.
Headbanger
Kill an enemy with the impact damage from a frag grenade to the head.
The easiest way I found of getting this was to go to the 2nd mission, Team Player. Once you make your way into the school, go to the 2nd floor, where there will be a few enemies shooting out of the windows, equip your pistol, shoot them in the same leg 2 / 3 times to drop them, hopefully, one of them will go into last stand, where they lay back, draw a pistol and try and shoot you.
It’s at this point you can hold down R1 to “cook a grenade” just enough to allow you to aim at his head. Throw the grenade and as long as its the impact of the grenade killing him, like a baseball rather than the explosion. Your Trophy will then unlock.
That’s the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Trophy Guide complete I hope it helps you through the game.
