Christmas Race is a vertical 2d scrolling game where you control a sled whilst strafing left and right to avoid obstacles and other sleds as you work towards completing a level. Along the way you can collect various power ups to help you increase your chances as well as being awarded an additional life every time you reach multiples of 10,000 points. If you touch any of the obstacles then you will lose a life and losing all of your lives will see you back at the start of the game so race cautiously.
Along the way on your first run if you need more than one you should be able to easily unlock:
- Overtake a blue sled.
- Overtake a green sled.
- Overtake a purple sled.
- Collect speed.
- Collect shield.
- Collect timer.
- Collect health.
- Bump into any sled.
- Halfway through.
With the above done you can then use as many runs as you need to in order to unlock both:
Then with all 11 trophies above unlocked you will then unlock:
Christmas Race master
Collect all trophies in game.
You will need to unlock the other 11 trophies throughout Christmas Race which will then unlock Christmas Race Master.
Overtake a blue sled
Overtake a blue sled.
Avoid and overtake any Blue Sled.
Overtake a green sled
Overtake a green sled.
Avoid and overtake any Green Sled.
Overtake a purple sled
Overtake a purple sled.
Avoid and overtake any Purple Sled.
Collect speed
Collect speed power up.
Speed power ups are randomly located through a run and are signified by a blue lightning bolt which once collected will unlock Collect Speed.
Collect shield
Collect shield power up.
Shield power ups are randomly located through a run and are signified by a red shield icon which once collected will unlock Collect Shield.
Collect timer
Collect timer power up.
Timer power ups are randomly located through a run and are signified by a clock icon which once collected will unlock Collect timer.
Collect health
Collect health power up.
Health power ups are randomly located throughout a run and are signified by a red and blue heart icon which once collected will unlock Collect health.
Collect coin
Collect coin for points.
Coins are a rarity in Christmas Race as there is only one per run and they are usually pressed against either the left or right wall so you will need to be quick to grab it on the way pass. If you do miss the coin which will have a picture of Santa’s face on it then try again on your next run. Once you do successfully run over a coin you will unlock Collect coin.
Bump into a sled
Bump into any sled.
You will more than likely get this through natural gameplay as all you need to do is bump into any sled in a run. Doing so will lose one bar of health so be cautious if you are near the end of a run and haven’t unlocked this one as you can easily get it on the start of a run.
Halfway through
Travel halfway through the level.
Race through the level avoiding the obstacles and sleds to where you get around 27,000 points which will mark the half way point unlocking Halfway through.
Complete a level
Complete a level in game.
You will need to finish an entire run which is only possible as long as you avoid the sleds and obstacles along the way as well as being able to collect a good number of timer power ups to give you enough time to get to the end of the run. For me I reached nearly 60,000 points at the end of my run so keep pushing forward until you finish which unlocks Complete a level.
