Author: Trozenator.
Genres: Beat Em Up, Sports.

Welcome to the Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition trophy guide which will help you follow Adonis Creed, an up-and-coming boxer, as he rises through the ranks to defeat boxing’s elite competition.

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, PS VR 2.
  • Trophies: 41: Platinum: 1, Gold: 3, Silver: 9, Bronze: 28.
  • Release Date: 21st May 2019.
  • Missable: None.
  • Glitched: 1: How Winning is Done.
  • Online: 1: Challenge the World.
  • Difficulty Rating: 4/10.
  • Approx. time to 100%: 4 Hours.

Stage 1: Complete the “Rise to Glory” Story.

NOTE: If you are playing the PSVR1 version, your trophy hunting experience will greatly differ from the PSVR2 version. For more information, refer to the Version Differences section.

Once you start the game, the first thing you will probably select is the Rise to Glory storyline. In this story, you will play as Adonis Creed, rising up the boxing ranks. Refer to Rise to Glory for the full list of fights you will complete in this storyline. You can complete this on any difficulty. You can unlock the following trophies throughout Step 1:

Stage 2: Complete the “Legacy” Story.

The Legacy storyline is the continuation of the Rise to Glory storyline, where you are trained by Creed after his retirement. Check out Legacy for the full list of fights you will complete in this storyline. You can also complete this on any difficulty.

Stage 3: Defeat Opponents in Free Play, Game modes, and Miscellaneous Trophies.

After completing the two storylines, you will have a bit of cleanup for miscellaneous trophies. You will have to defeat the remaining fighters that you didn’t come across in the story (check out Prince of Punch for a list). There are also several game modes that can be quickly completed, and some miscellaneous trophies you may not have picked up while playing the story.

With everything above complete you will then unlock:

Version Differences:

The PSVR1 version is significantly harder than the PSVR2 version, due to the fact that you need to defeat every fighter on the highest difficulty. The same boxing tips below still apply, but be prepared to have a much rougher experience. The original version also does not have the Legacy storyline, along with the new fighters, meaning fewer fighters to defeat on the highest difficulty.

The following PSVR1 trophies are either not included in the PSVR2 version or have changed somewhat:

  • One Hand Behind Your Back (Unique trophy).
  • Stick and Move (Unique trophy).
  • …One Punch At A Time (You will need to complete every montage with five stars. In the PSVR2 version, you only need to do it once).
  • World Champion (Described above).

Boxing Technique / Fight Strategies.

The best boxing stance for this game is probably the Philly Shell. You can’t roll punches off your shoulders, but you can deflect about 90% of the punches pretty easily by holding the Philly Shell still. The Philly Shell (pictured below) is a very defensive stance, where one hand (your lead, non-dominant hand) is placed right next to your chin. Your other hand (power hand, dominant hand) will be placed slightly above your belly button, protecting your chest. Higher-level fighters do not vary much in attacks.

The Philly Shell works very well in this game, since your opponents tend to throw a combination of punches and then go into defense, where you can easily hit them. You will still need to look out for looping hooks, as they can sometimes get around your lead hand, but you can easily and quickly move your hand a bit to block.

Attacking the opponent is much easier. When the opponent is standing still, you can pretty much tee off on him until he decides to start throwing punches again. If your opponent has both arms guarding his head, hit him to the body to make him drop his hands. The game registers the speed you hit your opponent, and more speed will inflict more damage.

The Philly Shell allows you to have a persistent jab to potentially interrupt your opponent’s combinations. Pop the jab out there, and if your opponent is stunned, follow up with your power hand. If your opponent seems to just be standing in front of you, you can wallop him with hammer fists from two hands at once, which funnily enough is allowed. Inflict enough damage, and your opponent will fall.

Defeat Any Fighter on Champion Difficulty in Career Mode or Free Play

Champion Difficulty is the hardest difficulty in the game, and your difficulty can be changed at any time. Your opponents’ punches will hurt you more and it will take more shots to put your opponent down. This means a defence-heavy stance is favoured, as only a few punches can knock you down. Check out the Boxing Technique section for the best defensive stance.

It is probably easiest to do this trophy in Free Play, and to choose a weak opponent. The easiest opponent is probably Luke “Scraps” O’Grady. You can select different difficulties by selecting Fight Rules.

Block All Hits of a Swarm Using Only One Hand in Career Mode or Free Play

If you take too much damage from an opponent, you can have a special cutscene where you’re taken out of your body, and then need to protect yourself while your opponent swarms you with strikes. This will most likely happen at some point in the story, but to unlock this trophy you need to block all the hits with one glove. This trophy isn’t hard, you just need to know to look out for it.

Luckily, all the hits are easy to telegraph, and they’re all at your head. You should be able to hold your glove pretty still and block all the punches thrown. If you want to easily get this trophy, stand still on purpose and let your opponent hit you. If you get stunned, make sure you don’t get knocked down. Once your opponent activates the special cutscene, be ready for him to start wailing on you.
