Quest giver: No one specific, you need to complete the entire Dead Island 2 story then also complete the Cold Pork side quest for Trent in the Blue Crab where Coast Guardian will become available once you get close to the lifeguard hut.
Rewards: 3,000 XP, $300, Served Cold skill card (Abilities deck).
Before you can begin the Dead Island 2 Coast Guardian side quest you will firstly need to complete the entire Dead Island 2 story as well as the Cold Pork side quest for Trent in the Blue Crab then head to the beach South East of the military zone and South West of the Police Station.

Coast Guardian will appear as you get close to the lifeguard hut and will require you to clear out the initial zombies around the lifeguard hut allowing you to gain access and have a chat with a rather nervous Burt who will claim he led a group of survivors across the beach but needs you to check in on them at the Police Station. Upon getting to the Police Station there will be a heavy encampment of zombies waiting for you including Bursters and Riot Gear zombies so take them all done then head to the Boardwalk when prompted.
Clear out the zombies trying to break into Venice Kitchen then raise the shutters which will sound an alarm causing a heavy number of zombies to ambush you as well as a powerful Slobber: One Of Burt’s Group and of course , you will need to take down every hostile in the local area.
You can then return to Burt who is under siege by another group of zombies including a Crusher, Screamer and several other zombie variants, which, once they are all defeated go back in to the lifeguard hut and have a little chat with Burt concluding the side quest.
