Here you can find all of the Dead Island 2 Halperin Hotel Side Quests with neither of them actually being started in Halperin Hotel it can be a bit confusing as to what you need to do.
The first side quest in Halperin Hotel, The Rav-Ages of Caustic-X will be obtained by Hana in the main story during the Michael Anders and the Holy Grail mission where you are tracking Michael through Monarch Studios.
As for the second Side Quest, this seems to be a random one as for me, it was the, It Came From Monarch Studios which counted towards Halperin Hotel even though you access it in Venice Beach ad then complete the side quest in Monarch Studios.
Several other guide sites have listed different quests and the Wiki only has Halperin Hotel down as having 1 side quest even though the in game counter states there are 2 so something has gone wrong somewhere along the line during the game’s tenuous development.
If the, It Came From Monarch Studios side quest didn’t count towards Halperin Hotel then keep progressing through the side quests in the game until you find the one required for your game.
For all I know, it’s region based which is why there’s such a difference but I don’t fancy a flight to find out.
The Rav-Ages Of Caustic-X
Quest Giver: Hana (Monarch Studios), Rav (Halperin Hotel).
Rewards: 2,500 XP, Greased Pig Skill Card (Survivor deck), Rare Melee Liquidator Mod, Caustic-X Bomb Curveball, Silly Goose Journal
You will obtain this side quest as you are working through the main story in Monarch Studios when you speak with Hana on your way to tracking down Michael, however, you won’t be able to access the side quest until later later in the story.
Caustic-X is a chemical alkali made by the military to liquify the undead, take care though as it can liquify you just as quickly. Head to the ballroom in the Halperin Hotel when you’re prepared and get ready for a fight.

It Came From Monarch Studios
Quest Giver: Sarah (Blue Crab, Venice Beach).
Rewards: 3,000 XP, Street Brawler skill card (Abilities deck), Zombie Axe.
Progress through the game until you get the Blue Crab in Venice Beach where you can, around that point in the game, interact with the radio on the counter round the side from the counter where Sarah will ask you to help her in Monarch Studios.
Head to Monarch Studios then escort DeeDee through the are to Sebastian taking out the hordes as you go.
