Here is the Dead Island 2 Missing: Laura lost and found quest which will help you break Laura out of her Police Cell in Venice Beach which will be easier if you have already completed the Cold Pork side quest for Trent in the Blue Crab as this will unlock everything you need in the Police Station as well as clearing out the zombies in the reception area.
For me, I did all of the lost and found quests after having completed the main story so if a particular Missing Person quest isn’t currently available, keep pushing through the game to a later stage or after the credits roll where you will also receive some very powerful gear along the way as well.
Quest giver: Collect the Missing: Laura note from the Missing Persons notice board in the Serling Hotel.
Rewards: 1,500 XP, $250, 9 Pistol Rounds.
Collect the Missing: Laura poster from the Missing Persons board in the Serling Hotel safe zone on Ocean Avenue then head over to Venice Beach and go South West from the Blue Crab towards the Police Station.
If you are yet to complete the Cold Pork side quest I suggest you get it done and this guide will assume you have completed it already where the 2 maglocks will be removed (one behind the counter in the Police Station with the 2nd being in the toilet up to the left after you are ambushed by a Walker).
With the Maglocks disabled, head through to the 2nd cell on the right and interact with the door where you will be told you need to find Laura’s Key so go in to the office on your left and collect the Keeper Of The Keys note on the table opposite the door then go right to find the Arrest Note Of Detainees note on the shelving unit to the left of the storage lockers.
From here, leave the Police Station and head North East to Venice Hot Dog where you can find Police Chief Malloy in the back behind the fridge unit enjoying his lunch. Take him down and collect the Jail Cell 01 Key and get ready for an ambush.
With the zombies dead, head back to the Police Station and open Jail Cell 01 where you will find Laura and her friend Emily. You only need to take Laura down, however, the objective does ask you to kill Emily as well so do as you please.
Either way, once Laura is down the Missing: Laura lost and found quest will conclude.
