Here is the Dead Island 2 Perks Of The Job guide where we will help you complete 5 Blueprint Challenges.
Blueprint Challenges will become available once you have taken down Dillon in Venice Beach who will be the first Inferno Crusher you face off against.
There are 7 Blueprint Challenges to complete in total, most of which you will be able to get done through normal gameplay which are well worth your time as the rewards are really useful Perks making your weapons a lot deadlier than they ordinarily would be.
If you would like to check your progress for any of the 7 Blueprint Challenges (of which you only need to complete 5) go: Player Menu> Challenges> Blueprint Challenges then scroll through to see how you’re getting on.
For the most part, as long as you vary your playstyle as well as ensure you collect the zombie parts that drop which become available once you meet up with Patton in Venice Beach who is having fun inside of a Crusher. It will make sense when you get there and are displayed as yellow bags on the floor you will be well on your way to completing this one.
As mentioned above you only need to complete 5 of the 7 Blueprint Challenges, however, we are going to list and help you through all 7 Blueprint Challenges as the perks you receive for the weapons are well worth the time investment and all 7 Blueprint Challenges are as follows:
Contagious
Hit zombies with Heavy Attacks 100 times.
Reward: Contagious weapon Perk.
To perform a Heavy Attack simply hold down the attack button and release it when the reticle goes red where you will deal massively increased damage against any zombie dumb enough to be in your way.
Heavy attacks are very effective against Apex Variants when they go vulnerable or knocking the armour off of Riot Gear Walkers which can be a hassle if there’s mobs around as well.
Simply hit zombies with Heavy Attacks 100 times to complete the Challenge.
Infectious
Inflict the Bleeding status effect on zombies 50 times.
Reward: Infectious weapon Perk.
Even though the enemies in game are already dead, bleed status is incredibly effective at making them properly dead just don’t use bleed against Shamblers or Spiky Walkers as they’re immune, Shamblers as they have no blood left and Spiky Walkers as they like the Bleed status so therefore are immune to its damage.
Every other type of zombie, however are weak to Bleed so the sooner you get your hands on a weapon with Bleed, the better which can be done at a crafting bench, found out in the world or purchased from Traders when available.
You will need to afflict the Bleed status on zombies where they take damage over time rather than just hitting them with a Bleed weapon to fulfil the requirements then do this across 50 zombies to complete the Challenge.
Infernal Combustion
Inflict the Ignited status effect on zombies 50 times.
Reward: Tear ‘N Sear weapon Perk.
Inflicting Fire damage on an enemy is one of the simplest things to do in Dead Island 2 given the high number of explosive barrels, oil spills, Molotovs, weapons you can craft with fire elements and gas pipes pumping out flames like the idea is going out of fashion you will have plenty of scope for igniting enemies.
Bear in mind, inflicting Fire damage isn’t enough, you will have to actually set an enemy on fire to count towards this one which will be easiest by dropkicking enemies in to fire that you have waiting for them.
Set 50 zombies on fire to complete this Challenge.
Leechblade
Slay 100 zombies with Melee weapons.
Reward: Leech weapon Perk.
One of the simplest Challenges in the game. You know what to do, then, once you have taken out 100 zombies you will receive one of the most overpowered weapon Perks in the entire game.
Shockwave
Knock down zombies 100 times.
Reward: Shockwave weapon Perk.
Another very simple Challenge and one that I would be amazed if you don’t get by the end of the game. You can knock down zombies using a variety of methods including Dropkicks, whacks to the head, taking their legs out or dropping a Pipe Bomb at their feet then backing off before it goes boom.
Whichever way you decide to go for this one, simply knock down 100 zombies or the same zombie 100 times, it really is up to you in order to complete this Challenge.
Static Charge
Inflict the Electrified status effect on zombies 50 times.
Reward: Static Charge weapon Perk.
There are plenty of places you can electrify zombies in Dead Island 2 with plenty of weapons both dropped by enemies in the World or purchased from Traders.
You can also lure a zombie in to a puddle then throw a battery at it or Dropkick a zombie in to a billboard which will then give the shocking treatment as well.
You will, however, need to not just inflict Shock damage, the zombie will need to be electrified where they take damage of time from the electricity for this one to count 50 times where the challenge will then be considered completed.
Vampire
Collect 200 zombie parts.
Reward: Vampire weapon Perk.
Zombie parts become available when you get to Venice Beach and find Patton who is arm deep inside a Crusher and show up as yellow bags from defeated zombies with a lot more zombie parts dropping from Apex Variants such as Screamers, Crushers and Mutators.
You will need to ensure you collect the zombie parts as they won’t be collected automatically to add them to your counter but considering how many zombies you will be taking down throughout the game, collecting their parts will soon become second nature.
Collect 200 of any zombie part to complete the Challenge.
Once you have completed 5 of the 7 Blueprint Challenges you will have this one unlocked.
That’s the Dead Island 2 Perks Of The Job guide complete, I hope it helped you complete 5 Blueprint Challenges.
