Before you can begin The Ballad Of Rikky Rex side quest you will firstly need to complete the Resurrect the Rex side quest where you retrieve the Master tapes from Farouk’s house.

Rewards: 2,000 XP, 0-Kami and Whiskey Sword (Unique).
Once you have completed the Resurrect the Rex side quest, return to Roxanne’s house ad speak with Rikky again who will task you with finding his beloved guitar, Chopper as well as sending laying his former bandmates to rest. Head to the most South Eastern house in Beverly Hills and round to the back where you can try to interact with the door inside watching out for Mutators as you go.

When prompted, head over the decks outside and blast some music which will see hordes of zombies coming which will all need taking down before Misha, the key holder you need to access the house will spawn, who incidentally is a powerful Screamer so take care around the hazards if there any left. Once Misha and every other band member, normal and Apex zombie is down you can then loot Rikky’s Kitchen Key from Misha’s corpse allowing you to enter the upstairs portion of the house.

Take care around the Bursters who will ambush you as you progress around the upper level following the linear path to the back room where Chopper can be found in a closet.

After acquiring Chopper you can either fight your way back to Rikky Rex or just run past all of the zombies unless they physically block your path, then, upon returning Chopper to Rikky, the side quest will complete.
