Dead Island 2 The Pier Side Quests
Author: Griffin.
Genres: Action Adventure, Horror.
Dead Island 2 directory.
Here is the Dead Island 2 The Pier side quests guide which will help you find and complete every side quest in The Pier which can be a challenging area if you get mobbed.
The majority of the side quests in The Pier will conclude questlines for several NPCs as long as you have been following along with our other guides.
There are a good number of Butchers and Screamers both normal and Voltaic so ensure you are stocked up on fire power before going through the side quests in The Pier as well as ensuring you have fully repaired gear which is also matched to your level to stand a better chance of surviving what awaits you.
I do recommend going through the Dead Island 2 side quests once you have finished the main story as some of the side quests are locked behind story progression so if, on your first visit to The Pier you don’t currently have a side quest available, keep pushing through the story until they appear.
The 6 side quests in The Pier are as follows:
Boz Makes A Bang
Quest Giver: Hana.
Rewards: 3,000 XP, Short Fuse skill card (Survivor deck), Military Grenade Curveball.
This side quest is started in Bel-Air and is finished in Halperin Hotel, however, for some reason the game counted it, for me at least, as a side quest completed in The Pier which I have confirmed across 2 separate accounts doing the side quests in different orders.
You can begin Boz Makes A Bang once you have completed: The Rav-Ages Of Caustic-X side quest in Halperin Hotel then head over to Monarch Studios where you can storm a beach with some heavy hitting but slow recharging explosives as you work through heavy waves of zombies.
Check out the complete Boz Makes A Bang side quest for exactly what you need to do.
Message In A Bottle
Quest giver: Collect the bottle on the beach after defeating Butcho the Clown.
Rewards: 3,000 XP.
Once you have defeated Butcho the Clown as you work towards obtaining the Blood Drive laptop in the main story you will be washed up on the beach. Look to your left or go back later at any point where travel is allowed, collect the message where you will need to track down a food critic who epitomises the phrase you are what you eat.
Check out the complete Message In A Bottle side quest guide for where to find all 3 reviews as well as take down the big man himself.
A Hero's Journey
Quest giver: Approach Burt and Rita under the West side of The Pier.
Rewards: 3,000 XP, Guardian Perk, Machete.
Firstly, complete the Coast Guardian side quest in Venice Beach then head to the West side of The Pier and speak with an injured Burt who needs his Mojo back.
Burt’s Mojo comes in the form of his Torp which is hidden behind the toilets and several ambushes so bring some powerful AOE gear with you.
Check out the complete A Hero’s Journey side quest for everything you need to help Burt become the Hero.
Like And Follow
Quest giver: Amanda.
Rewards: 4,000 XP, Rare Ranged Electrocutor Mod, Nailgun.
Once you have complete the #Clickbait side quest, head over to The Pier where you can speak with Amanda after taking down Butcho in the story where she will have 3 more tasks for you to complete which involve killing a very heavy amount of zombies in specific ways.
Check out the complete Like And Follow side quest for exactly what you will need to do for Amanda’s latest video.
Dez And The Mother Of Satan
Quest giver: Dez.
Rewards: 4,500 XP, Superior Melee Electrocutor Mod, Mystery Goodie-Box Code (third floor of the Serling Hotel).
After having completed both The Rav-Ages of Caustic-X and the Boz Makes A Bang side quests you can go to The Pier and speak with Dez in the CDC base who will task you with helping her test her traps and search for the Mother Of Satan.
Don’t bring any electric weapons with you in this one as you have one of the toughest Voltaic Screamers in the game.
Check out the complete Dez And The Mother Of Satan side quest for everything you need to get this one done.
Red Tide
Quest giver: Carmen.
Rewards: 3,000 XP, Machine Pistol (Upon opening the final crate).
This is one of the toughest side quests in the game but only due to the electricity in the water. Learn how to navigate the waters and you’ll only need to worry a 2 on one fight against a Butcher, a Vicious Butcher and you, an incredibly powerful Mutator paired with a Screamer and a seemingly unending wave of zombies.
Check out the complete Red Tide side quest for how to work through the CDC base then find the boat and take down everything standing in your way.
That’s how to complete every side quest in The Pier, I do hope the guides help you navigate through this tough, apex zombie filled region.
