Here is the Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition Top Gear trophy guide which will help you collect all Armour Pieces of which there are 45 spread throughout the game. Armour can be found in gold chests which are usually off the beaten track and need to be opened for the Armour to then be considered collected and can then be equipped by visiting a Checkpoint. Armour will change the amount of damage you take as well as the speed of which your character moves and dashes so it can be very useful.
Ensure you test out the varying pieces of Armour you can find until you are comfortable with the Armour for your chosen playstyle as there’s little point having fast armour equipped if you are more of a tanky player and the reverse is true, if you’re more of a slasher and dasher, being a tank won’t help you achieve a favoured outcome.

The Beginning
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 1, The Beginning which will unlock the complete ArmoShell #2 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:
ArmoShell #3 Torso Armour
From the start of the mission go to the top of the roof and open the gold chest to acquire the ArmoShell #3 Torso Armour.
ArmoShell #3 Arms Armour
Before getting to the 2nd Checkpoint, go right and head down the street, loot the area then open the gold chest against the left wall to find the ArmoShell #3 Arms Armour.
ArmoShell #3 Legs Armour
Go through the 2nd Checkpoint then clear the Horde of weaker Zombies, when the area opens up go round to the right to find a the next gold chest against the Northern side of the building on your right inside of which will be the ArmoShell #3 Legs Armour.
Downtown
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 2, Downton which will unlock the complete ExoGear #2 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:
ExoGear #2 Legs Armour
Go through the second Checkpoint of the Downtown mission then go right and up the wooden ramp to the roof. Go to the far right of the roof and open the gold chest to obtain the ExoGear #2 Legs Armour.
ExoGear #2 Torso Armour
Head up along the street going in between the green panel barriers, clear the Zombies then go left though the alley to the open area and go right to the top of the area and open the gold chest to obtain the ExoGear #2 Torso Armour.
ExoGear #2 Arms Armour
Continue through the area staying against the back wall then go into the garden area behind the bus and open the gold chest in the top right corner to receive the ExoGear #2 Arms Armour.
Sorrow Park
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 3, Sorrow Park which will unlock the complete ProtoSuit #2 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

Stay left as you go along the street then take out the 2 Runners behind the chain link fence. Go behind the same chain link fence and open the gold chest in the bottom right of the area to collect the ProtoSuit #2 Arms Armour.
ProtoSuit #2 Torso Armour
Enter the park grounds then go round to the right and clear the fountain area. Go left then take a right and go to the top left corner of the area and open the gold chest to collect the ProtoSuit #2 Torso Armour.
ProtoSuit #2 Legs Armour
Leave the Checkpoint and cross the bridge before going right to the waters edge the go left to the top left corner of the area and open the gold chest to collect the ProtoSuit #3 Legs Armour.
Grieving Towers
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 4, Grieving Towers which will unlock the complete ArmoShell #3 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

Leave the starting area then head up and go round behind the bus. Enter the back area and open the gold chest to collect the ArmoShell #3 Arms Armour.

Go over the wooden ramp then up and round to the right ducking down in between 2 lorries then go South to find the gold chest behind 2 Runners which you can collect the ArmoShell #3 Torso Armour from.
ArmoShell #3 Legs Armour
Continue through the mission to the final rooftop before the conclusion zone then go South to the bottom of the roof overlooking the area you were just in below your current position and open the gold chest to acquire the ArmoShell #3 Legs Armour.
Edge Of City
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 5, Edge of City which will unlock the complete ExoGear #3 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

From the start of the mission go forward taking out all of the enemies then head right to the building on your right to find the gold chest in an alcove you can open which holds the ExoGear #3 Arms Armour.

Leave the Checkpoint then go right through the Torii Gate and into the alcove on the right side of the building to find a gold chest inside of which will be the ExoGear #3 Legs Armour.
ExoGear #3 Torso Armour
Continue to the end of the street then go right and take a left through the tram then another right to find the gold chest which holds the ExoGear #3 Torso Armour.
Marrow Hospital
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 6, Marrow Hospital which will unlock the complete ProtoSuit #3 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

Head down from the very start of the mission to find a gold chest which you can collect the ProtoSuit #3 Arms Armour from.

Once you’re on the roof after riding the elevator up go down the path then smash through the chain link fence on your left. Go to the end of this area to find a gold chest inside of which will be the ProtoSuit #3 Arms Armour.

Go up the final ramp then dash through the fire next to the downed Helicopter to find the gold chest which holds the ProtoSuit #3 Arms Armour.
Graveyard
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 7, Graveyard which will unlock the complete ArmoShell #4 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

Head down the street from the start of the mission and go right to find the gold chest which holds the ArmoShell #4 Arms Armour.

Go through the Checkpoint then head to the top left corner of the area. Drop a grenade to smash the side of the small building you can then go inside of to find the gold chest holding the ArmoShell #4 Torso Armour.

Jump over the wooden ramp then go forward and continue right to the right turn you can make at the end of which will be the gold chest you can open to acquire the ArmoShell #4 Legs Armour.
Trainyard
There are 3 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 8, Trainyard which will unlock the complete ExoGear #4 Armour set all of which can be found at the following locations:

Leave the starting area then go to the far left of the area behind to lorries to find the gold chest against the back building under some trees inside of which will be the ExoGear #5 Torso Armour.
ExoGear #5 Legs Armour
Proceed through the mission to where you hit the button to push the train car South, go to the South then the bottom right corner of the now accessible area having moved the diesel car to find the gold chest which holds the ExoGear #5 Torso Armour.
ExoGear #5 Arms Armour
Open the green gate barrier, take out the ambush and go left along the side of the lorry and round to the left to find the gold chest next to a truck which holds the ExoGear #5 Arms Armour.
Harbor Docks

Leave the starting area then go over the wooden ramp on the left and follow the back back down to the right going over the next wooden ramp. Follow the path left and back up to find the gold chest inside of which will be the ExoGear #5 Legs Armour.

Leave the Checkpoint then go left across the shipping container and on to the ship at the back of which will be a gold chest you can open to obtain the ProtoSuit #4 Legs Armour.

Go on to the conveyor belts then once you’re on the second set, stay left then go on to solid ground following the path under the diagonally faced shipping container to the end to find the gold chest which holds the ExoGear #5 Arms Amour.

Leave the conveyor belt then go round to the left to find the gold chest between a shipping container and a fork lift which holds the ProtoSuit #4 Arms Armour.

Clear the area then cross the first bridge section heading right. Shoot the first set of barrels on your left then go to the end of the path and open the gold chest against the back wall which holds the ProtoSuit #4 Torso Armour.

Leave the next Checkpoint then go right to find the gold chest against the building wall on the right side of the area in between 2 lorries which contains the ProtoSuit #4 Torso Armour.
Highway To Hell
There are 6 pieces of Armour to collect in Mission 10, Highway to Hell which will unlock the complete ArmoShell #5 and ProtoSuit #5 Armour sets all of which can be found at the following locations:

Leave the starting area then follow the path to the wooden ramp you can use to get over to the other carriageway. Go down to the South East corner and open the gold chest which holds the ProtoSuit #5 Arms Armour.

Continue up the path then before crossing the sign to the right side carriageway go forward and look behind the crashed bus to find the next gold chest which holds the ArmoShell #5 Arms Armour.

Leave the first Checkpoint the go round to the right following the path down to the end where the gold chest which contains the ArmoShell #5 Torso Armour.

Cross the sign to the left carriageway then dash through the flames on the left where the Firefighter Zombies come from and go up to find the gold chest which has the ArmoShell #5 Legs Armour inside.

Ride the elevator down then go immediately right to the bottom right corner where the gold chest will be where you can find the ProtoSuit #5 Torso Armour.
