Dirt Rally 2.0 DLC Pack 4 Season 4 Trophy Guide

This can be a very daunting trophy by reading the requirements and by my own admission, alongside the Launch Event are the hardest seen so far in Dirt Rally 2.0. From the main menu press R1 until you reach the free play tab then select FIA World Rallycross Championship. Start a new championship and choose any car you wish from the list for me I chose the Peugeot 208 WRX because for me it felt more stable under braking but this is personal preference.

Once you have selected your car press Cross to reach the championship preview screen. From this screen press Triangle and Cross on the difficulty settings sub menu. It’s vitally important to set the AI to 100 which is as far as the slider will go to the right, for some reason the game seems to deem hardcore damage as an assist so it’s vitally important that hardcore damage is set to on.

With all that done you can start the championship, retire from the first 4 events until you reach the event Hell. Hell nearly always seems to be heavy rain and the AI seems to be easier to beat around this track. Once you have reached Hell select the tune vehicle tab and press R1 until you reach the brakes tab. On the braking force tab move the slider one step to the right so the settings say 3212 and on the brake bias tab move the slider one step to the left so it reads 66% this for me made the car feel more stable under braking.

Apply those settings and return back to the mini menu and scroll down to options followed by game settings. Press R1 until you reach the assist tab. Ensure transmission is set to manual sequential and all other settings are set to off, with all that done your finally ready to take part in the qualifier races. If set to default controls your handbrake button will be Circle, gear up is Cross and gear down is Square. In the 4 lap qualifiers, I suggest taking the joker lap on lap 1 and you have a target time of 43/44 seconds for a standing start joker lap.

Then laps 2 through 4 your looking for a 37/38 second lap. This gives you a combined race time of between 2 mins 35 – 2 mins 39 seconds which in my game was just enough to scrape a top 10 finish for each qualifier. I can’t stress how important this time is for securing a top 12 finish for the semi-final. If you fail to reach this target simply restart the qualifier before moving onto the next one. With all 4 qualifiers done in the required time bracket, you should have secured a points haul of around 120-130, I got 127 points and it got me into the top 12 and more importantly the semi-final.

Your aim for the semi-final is simply finish in the top 3 to qualify for the final, the semi-final is 6 laps long so it’s 50% further distance to travel just a reminder that time is irrelevant for the semi-final your finishing position is the main aim. Now you will be into the final and the hard work is nearly over. The final has to be a win full stop you have no other option than a win and like the semi-final it’s 6 laps long so do whatever you can to get into the lead and hold that lead. I suggest just like the qualifiers to take the joker lap on your first lap to get it out the way. Then concentrate on winning that final. Once you have won the final, firstly congratulations from me and more importantly your Trophy will unlock during the results screen.
