The Bell Bearing Hunter will only appear at night and after you have spoken to the Warmaster and ensure you are ready for a tough fight before starting.
To initiate the fight against the Bell Bearing Hunter you will firstly need to go to the Warmaster’s Shack which is found East of Stormveil Castle (image below) then speak with the Warmaster in the Shack agreeing with him as you go (choose the “My faith hold firm” dialogue option). After this, go to the Site of Grace then select: Pass Time: Until Nightfall then leave the Site of Grace then immediately rest at the Site of Grace again where the Warmaster will have disappeared from inside the Shack. Enter the Warmaster’s Shack to begin the fight against the Bell Bearing Hunter who can be formidable at lower levels.
The Bell Bearing Hunter can close distance on you efficiently and is a considerable threat with a large sword and a decent powered shield up close. If you try and stay back he will punish you with a magic blade he can control with deadly efficiency producing wide, sweeping hits that can easily get around your shield meaning melee / ranged / mage players will have a tough time finding a safe space in the fight.
Guard counters are particularly effective given his melee based style of combat and will work even when the blade is being controlled by magic rather than by his hand which can be used to your benefit if you’re up close.
One of the Bell Bearing Hunter’s more nasty attacks will be when he grabs you with an ethereal grasp and slams you down to the ground with his sword following to land on top of you which can easily ruin your day if you’re at half or less health.
Wear him down with effective strikes / magic to eventually defeat the Bell Bearing Hunter.
