The Mad Pumpkin Head boss has strong melee attacks as well as using its head to slam into the floor dealing heavy damage.
You can find the Mad Pumpkin Head by going down the stairs in the Waypoint Ruins but take care you don’t get poisoned by the enemies above ground. If you do ensure you remove the poison status before starting the fight as the Mad Pumpkin Head can hit hard.
The boss will come at you with melee swings of a weapon in his right hand as well as smashing his head off the ground which deals significant damage and will make short work of melee builds if you try and tank the headbutts with a shield so get a guard counter then back away rather than trying to block repetitive hits.
Ranged / sorcery builds will help a lot just ensure you don’t get caught in a corner then whittle at working his health bar down whilst avoiding the swiping attacks.
Once you have defeated the Mad Pumpkin Head you will then be able to go through to the back room and purchase some decent sorceries.
