The Night’s Cavalry boss can be found throughout Elden Ring, the one we’re looking at here is the one in Limgrave near the start of the game and will come out you with sweeping halberd strikes, kicks from the horse and charging attacks.
First of all you can only find and subsequently fight the Night’s Cavalry boss at night so change the time of day to Nightfall then head to the bridge once you’re prepared for a decent fight.
Night’s Cavalry will come at you with some heavy blows that can easily knock you off of Torrent if you’re going for a mounted fight, alternatively, bring a decent physical block shield then work towards guard counters ensuring you take care not to stand behind the horse as it if it bucks you can catch a nasty double kick to the face.
If you’re playing a ranged / mage build then get ready for some fast charging attacks that can close distance on you quickly as well as being ready to didge if the horse rears up on its back legs as it can slam down on you dealing significant damage. The Night’s Cavalry that you fight in Limgrave is an early game boss and will be a lot simpler to take down than the Tree Sentinel you will have seen once you first enter Limgrave (provided the Grafted Scion boss killed you at the start of the game).
As always with Elden Ring, if you are struggling, jump on Torrent, go off and explore the world, get some more levels then come back at a later date, it’s amazing how much a few more points in certain attributes can swing the fight in your favour. Take the Night’s Cavalry boss down to earn a powerful Ash of War.
That’s where you can find and how to take down the Night’s Cavalry boss in Elden Ring.
