Racing Legend
Acquire every Trophy in F1® 2019

Experience F2
Complete your first race with an F2 car in career mode
From the main menu select new career, watch the ensuing cut-scene then select which F2 team to drive for and which driving academy you wish to race for. You will then be placed into a 5 lap race. As soon as you cross the finish line regardless of your final position your Trophy will unlock

Showing Your Intentions
Finish ahead of Lukas or Devon in an F1 race
In career mode, Lukas & Devon are fictitious characters that move up from the F2 Feeder Series into F1 so as a result this trophy can only be obtained in career mode. You only need to finish in front of one of these rivals and your first opportunity to do so will be round 1 in Australia. Now winning the race isn’t essential, you only need to beat Devon / Lukas, however, aim for first place as if they’re in 1st / 2nd you won’t meet the requirements for this one. If you are lagging behind towards the end of the race and you’re behind Devon / Lukas simply restart the race and have another go. Once you have successfully beaten either of these rivals your Trophy will unlock.

Dreams Become Reality
Complete the F2 feeder series and start to pursue a move to F1
In Career mode, the F2 Feeder Series is a pre-determined series of events over 3 races. Simply complete this portion of your Career. After you cross the finish line in Abu-Dhabi your Trophy will then unlock.

Assisting Development
Complete an F1 practice programme in Career Mode
After completing the F2 prologue, you will need to choose a team to race for. After doing this, you will be placed in practice 1, you can then choose from 6 separate practice programmes. Complete any of these programmes, scoring enough points to earn a pass. After the programme has been completed return to the garage to unlock your Trophy.

Victory!
Get on the F1 podium for the first time
Pretty self-explanatory, get either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place and you’ll unlock this one. But let’s break them down and make it nice and simple to acquire. From the main menu go, solo, Grand Prix, choose any driver / car / track you wish. Make sure the AI difficulty is set to its lowest, set the laps to a number you feel comfortable with (4/5 is the average) turn qualifying on if you’re confident in your abilities to save having to fight through the pack to get on the podium. Whichever way you choose to do this one, providing you finish in the top three your Trophy will unlock.

Second Chance
Activate a Flashback during a race
A nice, simple trophy utilising a very useful game mechanic. From the main menu, go solo, Grand Prix then select any car / driver / setup that you wish. I’d recommend you do at least half a lap so you don’t encounter any issues, then press the Touchpad button to bring up the instant replay menu then simply press Square to activate your flashback unlocking your Trophy.

Master Skills
Complete an F1 race with all driving assists turned off
From the main menu, select solo, then Grand Prix. Select any car / driver / track that you wish, go for one that you’re comfortable with ensuring the laps are set to 3 and your transmission is set to manual, all other assists need to be set to off (manual). All you need to do is complete the race, you can spin out as many times as you want, crash, go off the track. As long as you don’t total your car (get a D.N.F.), cross the finish line to unlock your Trophy.

Memories
Play a captured highlight
You need to have completed at least one race before you can go for this one. From the main menu select Theatre then press Cross on any of the available clips. As soon as you start viewing a clip your Trophy will unlock.

Not Again, Jeff!
Tell Jeff to be quiet
Jeff is your race engineer, to tell him to be quiet, from the main menu go solo, Grand Prix, choose any car / driver / track / settings you wish. Once in the race press L1 to bring up your M.F.D. (Multi-Function-Display) then press Circle twice to bring up the 3rd menu screen. The option to tell, Jeff to shut up is at the bottom of this menu, highlight this option then press Right to unlock your Trophy.

Manual Master
Win a race whilst using manual transmission
Bit of a difficult one this if you’re used to using an automatic transmission, fortunately, we have a nice simple method to make this a hell of a lot easier. From the main menu, select solo, Then Grand Prix, choose any driver/car that you wish, but make sure the track is Monza. In the race options make sure the AI difficulty is set to its’ lowest setting, set the length of the race to 3 laps and to near enough ensure the win, turn all damage and flag rules off and of course, make sure the transmission is set to manual. Take your time and learn the best time to change up and down through the gears. You’ll get a feel for it soon enough. Ensure you cut straight across the chicanes on this track to guarantee you stay ahead of the pack. Once you cross the finish line in first place you’ll unlock your Trophy. Check the video below for a visual reference of what you need to do.

Car Geek
Read information on a car in the showroom
Another very simple trophy to unlock in F1 2019. From the main menu select showroom then simply select any of the categories on a particular car to unlock your Trophy.

First Amongst Rivals
Finish ahead of Devon and Lukas by the end of an F1 Season
Devon & Lukas are 2 rivals that move up with you from the F2 feeder series. From the main menu, select solo, Grand Prix, your earliest opportunity to be able to beat either the pair of them is Australia. Ensure you finish in first place to ensure you finish ahead of them both. Once successful, your Trophy will unlock.

Personal Touch
Choose a player badge
A very simple trophy to unlock. From the main menu, select the customisation tab, then select badge. Once you’re in the badge menu, simply select any available badge with Cross, your Trophy will then unlock.

Love the Look!
Obtain a livery for your multiplayer car
As you progress through multiplayer, you’ll earn competition points, you can use these points as a type of in game currency. The better you place in online races the more points you’ll receive. Once you’ve accrued a minimum of 2,000 points you can the buy a new livery. To do so, from the main menu select customisation then choose your multiplayer car, choose any livery after the 3rd option as the first 3 are free and won’t count towards this trophy. Once you’ve made your purchased, your Trophy will unlock.

Weekend Warrior
Complete a Weekly Grand Prix
Each week Codemasters features a different event that you can compete in. This can be either a featured event or a weekly Grand Prix and as the title suggests this needs to be the weekly Grand Prix option. From the main menu select the online tab and on the left-hand side of the screen it will tell you the current weekly event all you need to do is complete the 25% distance race to unlock your trophy. Please Note: You can only do this on a Saturday or Sunday as the weekly event is time sensitive just like in real life.

The Whole Event
Complete all events in a Weekly Grand Prix
This is a variable trophy in F1 2019 , the events themselves change on a weekly basis and to get this one you’ll need to complete the practice, qualifying and the race itself. Practice and qualifying are only available Monday-Friday PST, and the race is only available Saturday & Sunday PST. There’s no way around this, ordinarily for date-specific trophies you can get them by changing the date on the console, this one, however, is server-based, so you have to make sure your console is connected to the Internet and be available for at least 2 days of the week (1 Mon-Fri and 1 on the weekend). Once you’ve successfully completed all of the requirements, your Trophy will unlock.

Featured Racer
Complete a Featured Event
From the main menu, select the multiplayer tab then select weekly event, each week will bring a new event, some of which are not featured events. If your event is not a featured one you will have to come back the following week and hopefully that event will be a featured one. When the featured event has appeared, select it to be placed into a unique scenario, these range from a variety of different situations you can find yourself in, most of which will require you to complete either a series of laps, or some such similar thing. All of the information will be presented you at the start of the event. Once you’ve successfully completed your first featured event your Trophy will then unlock.

Raining Champion
Complete an F1 Time Trial in wet conditions.
From the main menu, select solo, then select time trial, select any car / driver / setup / track that you wish. Whilst the track is loading, press Options to bring up your time trial menu, then press R1 until you reach the time & weather tab. Select wet weather, then make sure you set a clean lap. Drive very cautiously, especially if you’re new to F1, the time you set doesn’t matter, just as long as it’s clean. Stay off of the edges of the course, stick to the middle of the track as best as you can and you’ll have your Trophy unlocked soon enough.

Season Victory
Win the F1 Drivers’ Championship
Once you have completed the F2 feeder series you are given the chance to select an F1 team to drive for. Select any team you wish and set the AI difficulty to very easy then you will be roughly 5 seconds per lap faster than the opposition. As your so fast simply win every race and by the time you reach round 15 / 16 which is around Russia and Japan you will win the Drivers’ World Title and your Trophy will unlock.

Constructors’ Victory
Win the F1 Constuctors’ Championship
After completing the F2 feeder series when present with team contracts make sure you select one of the top teams like Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari because you will need your team mate to score solid points each weekend. Setting the AI difficulty to very easy will make it easy for you to take race wins so as long as your team mate scores points by the end of round 16, Japan you can have the constructors title won and the trophy will unlock immediately. Don’t fret if the championship is not won by Japan as long as your team is ahead you will still win the constructors Championship. Either way as long as you win the F1 constructors championship, your Trophy will unlock.

Feeling Smug
Get promoted to first driver
When you start your career out you will be second driver in your chosen team, to become first driver you must renegotiate a contract during the season, the quickest way to do this is to win the first 4 races up to and including Azerbaijan. Once the weekend ends you will be presented with a contract screen, simply change the driver role from second to first and propose the contract. As you have won all 4 races so far in the season the team will accept your contract and then you can proceed to the next weekend at which point your Trophy will unlock.

Perfect Start
Get pole position
From the main menu, select solo, Grand Prix, choose any car/driver/track that you wish. Go to the race options and make sure qualifying is set to on, AI difficulty is set to low, make sure you set a clean, fast, lap. If you aren’t quick enough to get pole position, take some time to learn the track, learn your best braking points and focus on the racing line (out, in, out) and you’ll have this done eventually. With an F1 car, you have to caress and nurture it around the corners, don’t be over-zealous and you’ll start getting pole position consistently. Once you have achieved pole position for the first time, your Trophy will unlock.

Look at Them Go!
Set the fastest time in all 3 practice sessions, take pole position and win the Grand Prix
Make sure when you start a Grand Prix that it’s set to full weekend structure which gives you access to all 3 practice sessions. Also, make sure the AI is set to 1 (very easy) so they won’t cause you any problems in the race. Once you set the fastest laps for all sessions involved then go on to win the race where your Trophy will unlock.

Reach Level 5
Reach Level 5 XP
See Reach Level 50 for more information.

Reach Level 10
Reach Level 10 XP
See Reach Level 50 for more information.

Reach Level 25
Reach Level 25 XP
See Reach Level 50 for more information.

Reach Level 50
Reach Level 50 XP
You need to have patch 1.06 downloaded and installed, otherwise this one simply won’t unlock. In total, F1 2019 has 200 levels split into bronze, silver, gold & platinum. Without the patch installed, you will get to bronze 49 then straight to silver 1, meaning a coding error would negate the trophy. Fortunately, this has been fixed. To reach level 50 you need to compete in multiplayer qualifying & races, the better you place the more xp you’ll receive. You need well over a million xp to hit level 50, you will gain some nice xp boosts along the way for hitting certain milestones such as race wins, podiums, top 50% finishes etc. Whatever way you choose to do this one, as soon as you hit level 50 your Trophy will unlock.

Ice Cool
Complete a clean race
A potentially brutal trophy made so much simpler with a couple of little tweaks. Chief amongst which is the description, complete a clean race, not win a clean race. From the main menu, select solo, Grand Prix, choose any driver / car / track. Make sure qualifying is on and the race is set to the minimum of 3 laps. During the qualifying, go as slow as you can, essentially, you want to start the race in last place. Hang back and drive very cautiously to ensure you set a clean lap, don’t go off the track, watch your racing line, but most importantly, don’t go anywhere near any of the other drivers as one slight impact will negate this trophy. Once you’ve successfully, completed, not won (unless you’ve got serious skills) your race your Trophy will unlock.

Photo Fiddler
Make an adjustment within photo mode
From the main menu, choose solo, then Grand Prix. Select any car / driver / track that you wish. Once the race has started, press the Touchpad to bring up the replay. Once in the replay, press Options to enter photo mode, then make any adjustments that you wish. After you’ve made an adjustment your Trophy will unlock.

Around the World
Register a time trial entry on every track
The game features a total of 21 circuits and 4 shorter variations. From the main menu press R1 until you reach the solo tab now select time trial, you can use any car you wish. All you need do is set a valid lap time so cutting corners and hitting walls will invalidate your lap times, once you cross the finish line with a valid lap time that will appear at the top of the screen the quickest way to move onto the next circuit is to press Options and select return to garage. Once back in the garage press Options again and then select track and car from the menu now select a new track and confirm to move onto the next circuit. The 21 Full Circuits are:
- Abu Dhabi.
- Australia.
- Austria.
- Azerbaijan.
- Bahrain.
- Belgium.
- Brazil.
- Britain.
- Canada.
- China.
- France.
- Germany.
- Hungary.
- Italy.
- Japan.
- Mexico.
- Monaco.
- Russia.
- Singapore.
- Spain.
- USA.
The 4 Short Circuits are as follows:
- Bahrain short.
- Britain short.
- Japan short.
- USA short.
Providing you successfully register a time on each of these tracks your Trophy will unlock.

Safe Mode
Achieve a safety rating of A in multiplayer mode
One of the hardest trophies to unlock in the game. This is Mainly due to those lovely online players that think this is Destruction Derby, rather than an F1 game. I can envisage this bringing a lot of frustration to many of you, there’s no way of boosting this either, it can only be completed in online public races. In order to get an A rating, you need to drive very clean, safe, cautious and precise, quite possibly the worst combination imaginable. Whilst it is possible to make it through races without you having made any contact with another car.
If another player goes into you, more often than not, you’re penalised as well. Once you have reached B 100% you will then be told how many more races are required to get Promoted, usually, 1-3, try and race the same as you have been to complete this step. Possibly the worst part of this trophy is that you’ll lose percentage in your rank if you have to many impacts, regardless of if they’re your fault or not, which for me is a very unfair element in this game. Once you have reached a safety rating of A, your Trophy won’t actually unlock until after you have completed your next one-shot qualifying for the next race weekend.

Pure Gold
Achieve a Gold skill rating
Quite simply the hardest and most frustrating trophy in the game! You need to achieve a skill rating of 2000 in order to unlock this one, and that is no simple task! To make this slightly easier (in theory) the higher your safety rating the higher the chances you have of being placed in a lobby with players that have a similar safety rating to yourself.
Again, this is only theoretical as there are no 100% guarantees with online races. Also, as an additional level of difficulty, as if we haven’t got enough to do, the closer you get to your 2000 points, the harder it will be to accrue points. You will earn for example 50 points in your first 1st place finish, after you have accrued say 1700 points, you will then only earn 15 points for the same first place finish.
Aim to finish as high as possible when finishing the race. The larger the lobby, the more players you have a chance of beating, the more players you beat, the more points you will be awarded, but it’s also a lot more difficult to earn these points, if you even touch another car in a way the game disagrees with you’ll lose more skill points than you’ll earn.
That all said, NEVER rage quit as this will have a much larger impact on lowering your skill than you coming stone dead last place or even getting a D.N.F. Be forewarned how difficult and annoying this trophy can be before you attempt it. You don’t need to play F1 2019, you need to know F1 2019. Once you eventually get a gold skill rating, your Trophy will unlock. Good luck!

Epic Drive
Complete a race using the Ferrari F2004 at Monza
From the main menu, select solo then Grand Prix, followed by classic, the car has to be the Ferrari F2004, the track has to be Monza, but you can use any other settings that you wish for this one. Please Note: this is only a complete rather than a win, so take your time with the race and as long as you don’t get a D.N.F. you’ll unlock your Trophy.

First Ten Down
Complete 10 races online
You need to ensure you have downloaded and installed patch 1.05, otherwise this trophy will be unobtainable. From the main menu, go to the multiplayer tab, simply complete 10 online races, your finishing position is irrelevant for this one. As long as you don’t get a D.N.F. you’ll unlock your Trophy after having completing your 10th online race.

Monaco Victor
Win a 25% distance (or longer) F1 race at Monaco (any difficulty)
From the main menu select solo, Grand Prix, choose any car / driver you wish. The track has to be Monaco. Now to make your life a lot easier, set all flag rules and damage to off, AI difficulty set to its’ lowest setting, the distance must also be a minimum of 25%. By turning the flag rules off you can essentially cut the chicanes saving you valuable seconds and keeping you ahead of the pack. As long as you have completed the race in first place, your Trophy will unlock.

Something to Prove
Accept a contract with McLaren or Alfa Romeo
Once you finish the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi you will go through a cutscene with your agent and then enter the contract negotiations screen, simply select any of the following teams:
- McLaren.
- Alfa Romeo.
Accept the contract and if you’re successful the game will cut to the load screen for the next season which is when your Trophy will unlock.

Contender
Accept a contract with Williams, Racing Point, Renault, Toro Rosso or Haas
Once you finish the last race of the season at Abu Dhabi you will go through a cutscene with your agent and then enter the contract negotiations screen, simply select any of the following teams:
- Williams.
- Racing Point.
- Renault.
- Toro Rosso.
- Haas.
Accept the contract and if you’re successful the game will cut to the load screen for the next season where your Trophy will unlock.

Great Expectations
Accept a contract with Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes
Having won the F2 feeder series in career mode you should be able to sign for all 10 formula one teams. To earn this trophy make sure you select either Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes then watch the rest of the cut-scene where your Trophy will unlock.

Exclusive Club Member
Win a 25% distance (or longer) race against Ultimate AI opponents
Ordinarily, this can be a very difficult trophy to unlock, fortunately, here at Griffins Gaming Guides we have a very nice method to make this incredibly simple. From the main menu, go solo, Grand Prix choose any driver/car/setup but make sure the track is Monza. In the race options make sure the AI difficulty is set to at least 101 (Ultimate) and make sure the race is a minimum of 25% Distance. Now for the trick, turn damage & flag rules off, basically meaning you can cut the chicanes on the track with no penalties at all, the AI will always stick to their racing lines, by doing so, you can easily be a good 20 seconds a lap faster than your opponents. Once you have won the race, your Trophy will unlock.

League Joined
Join a league
A nice, quick, easy one to get out the way. From the main menu, go to multiplayer, then select leagues followed by suggested leagues. Now simply press Cross on any slot that’s available. Once you’ve successfully joined a league your Trophy will unlock.

You Got One!
Win a league medal
A new addition to F1 2019 is the ability to race in a private league, to set up a league you to do a minimum of 5 races, each race is a minimum of 5 laps. To access the league simply press R1 until you reach the multiplayer tab then choose leagues followed by upcoming league events followed by next league event to start each race. Creating or joining a league will work, either way, all you need do is complete all 5 races assuming you’re in a lobby of just 2 people, once the season is complete the league host will confirm the results in the league standing screen. Once the results have been confirmed all you need do is check your email inbox found in the bottom left of the home screen, claim the medal and more importantly, unlock your Trophy.

Nice Threads
Change your driver’s appearance
From the main menu select customisation then select driver, simply change any aspect of the driver, once you save your changes your Trophy will unlock.

F2 Racer
Complete the “2018 FORMULA 2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP” championship event
New to F1 2019 are F2 cars in the 2018 liveries, this trophy is easy but very time consuming as the F2 World Championship is 12 rounds consisting of 2 races per round so you need to complete all 24 races. Your finishing position does not matter so race for the win or just finish the races either way once you complete the final race in Abu Dhabi your Trophy will unlock.

Sit Back and Relax
Spectate an online race
This is as simple as it sounds, when searching and joining an online lobby you can ready up and if the current lobby you have joined are already racing you will join an in-progress race screen where your Trophy will unlock.

Cool and Calm
Reach maximum sportsman rating
After finishing off the F2 feeder series you are presented with contract options on which F1 team to sign for make sure you choose a team with an attitude preference of sportsmanship, I chose Mercedes. Make sure you qualify on pole and finish each race on the podium, then after each of these sessions you will receive an interview from the press, it’s vital to read all the possible responses before you answer them.
To increase the sportsman rating you’ll need to praise your rivals on sharing the front row of the grid or sharing a podium with them as this guarantees to increase your sportsman rating. If you’re not sure of an answer to give simply press Circle to give no comment as this won’t affect your rating. If you accidentally give a showmanship answer it will drop your sportsmanship rating down meaning it will take more questions just to increase it again. Eventually, you will learn which responses to give, it took me nearly 40 races but by Monza season 2 my bar was nearly full and correct answers to the questions after the race pushed the bar to its limit. The instant you fill the bar up your Trophy will unlock.

You Big Show Off!
Reach maximum showman rating
Once you have completed the F2 feeder series you will enter contract negotiations, ensure you pick a team with showmanship preference, for me I chose Ferrari. As you progress through the qualifying and races you will receive press interviews who will ask random questions, the best answer to increase your showman rating is to state that you’re the best driver in F1. Some questions you can get asked are as follows:
- “A great qualifying session“, you need to respond “Yes this will be a race for the ages“.
- “A great win“, your response “Yes this is for the fans“.
Sometimes questions will be asked that simply no answer will increase the showmanship rating so you can press Circle for no comment and this won’t affect your rating. For me, it took just over 2 seasons, 44 races but eventually I managed to fill the bar up to the Maximum where the Trophy unlocked.

Seeing it Through to the End
Apply all vehicle upgrades from one department
A long trophy, in order to purchase upgrades you must participate in practice programmes, each race has 6 practice programmes:
- Track acclimatisation which is where you learn the racing line.
- Tyre saving which is where you learn how to drive without harming the tyres.
- Fuel-saving where you learn to lift and coast to save fuel.
- ERS which is where you learn how braking can charge your ERS battery to give you extra power.
- Qualifying-run which is where you drive the track as fast as possible.
- Race setup which is where you have a full fuel load and learn how the car handles at the start of a race.
By completing this practice programmes you will earn resource points. From the data centre menu press R1 until you reach the research and development tab, press Cross to enter the R&D tree, I chose to develop the Aerodynamics tree as it had the least to upgrade at 18. You will need over 15,000 resource points to fully upgrade the tree so it will take over a season to complete. Each component takes several weeks to develop but eventually, you will get the tree built. The game will tell you when each component will be ready to install in the car please take note some components fail so you will have to pay extra resource points to have them developed again. Once all components have been integrated into the car your Trophy will unlock.

Early Beginnings
Complete the first weekend of an F1 season.
From the main menu, select solo then championship followed by F1 2019 F1 World Championship. To make this quicker, choose one shot qualifying and set this to be a 5 lap race. Once you have crossed the finish line in any position your Trophy will then unlock.

I Like This One
Set a favourite trophy
You can win Trophies in nearly every aspect of F1 2019. The simplest way to get this unlocked sooner rather than later is to win a race in career mode. Once completed, from the main menu scroll down to your email inbox then select the email informing you of your Trophy, you will then unlock your Trophy (in game not PS4). Return to the main menu, press Options to bring up your Super Licence, press R1 to bring up your trophy cabinet. Then simply press Cross on any of the + tabs, select the Trophy you unlocked via your email to unlock your actual Trophy.

Perfectly Executed
Activate DRS perfectly on all zones of any track
DRS is an overtake device, the only cars DRS is available on are the F1 2019 models. So to get this one done, choose solo, Grand Prix, choose an F1 2019 car, then choose any driver you wish. Choose any track as they all have DRS zones. Once you have entered the qualifying, look to the bottom right of your speedometer, which will tell you how close you are to your next DRS zone, which is usually on the straight section of any track. Personally, I went for Bahrain as it has 3 DRS Zones. You can also see the trigger points on your mini-map, as a green section. To activate your DRS, press Triangle as soon as you enter the zone, do this for each DRS zone in a track to unlock your Trophy.
That’s the F1 2019 Trophy Guide complete I hope it helps you through the game.
