Acquire every Trophy in F1® 2020

New Kids on the Block
Set up your own F1 team and show your car to the world at the pre-season car reveal

Choose my team from the main menu and follow the on-screen prompts to set up your team, once your team is full setup, your Trophy will unlock.

First Outing
Drive your team’s car out on track for the first time in My Team mode

Another trophy from the my team part of the game, with your team created, as is traditional in F1, you will show off your new car to the press at a pre-season launch. Once you have done this, your Trophy will unlock.

Promising Start
Complete your first race weekend in My Team mode

Simply advance time in the my team menu, eventually you will reach the first race weekend of the season which is Melbourne, Australia. Go to the track in any of the sessions to unlock your Trophy.

Data Gatherer
Complete 10 Practice Programmes in F1 during My Team or Driver Career

During a race weekend, you can perform practice programmes during the 3 practice sessions which are as follows:

Circuit Acclimatisation.
Tyre Management.
Fuel Management.
ERS Management.
Qualifying Pace.
Race Strategy.

All you need to do is pass 10 of these programmes then when you return back to the garage, your Trophy will unlock.

Hats Off
Get on the F1 podium for the first time

All you need to do here is finish in the top 3 in any event, once you have successfully got on the podium, your Trophy will unlock.

You Didn’t See Anything
Activate a Flashback

A flashback is the ability to rewind time and erase a mistake you have made whilst driving. To activate a flashback, start any race then pause the game and choose instant replay. From the replay menu press Square to activate your flashback, unlocking your Trophy.

Become One with the Car
Complete a race using Elite Driver Proficiency (Standard Race Style)

In the game options you can set different levels of difficulty for how many driver aids you would like from beginner all the way up to elite. On elite, you basically have no driver aids, no racing line, no on screen display and you’re using manual gears. Choose a short race track like Britain Short then make the race distance 3 laps, as this is a “complete” trophy, drive around as slow as you need to. Once you cross the finish line, your Trophy will unlock.

Look at you go!
Play a captured highlight

First off, you need to have taken part in any race event, with that done, go the replay theatre from the main menu, select the race you just took part in. Once the replay has loaded, your Trophy will unlock.

Phoenix from the Ashes
Win a race after starting in last position on the grid

Start a quick race ensuring the AI difficulty is set to 1 (very easy), make sure the race has one-shot qualifying. Set a very slow time in qualifying to make sure you will start the race in last place. The go on to win the race, with the A1 set to very easy, you should be a good 5+ seconds a lap quicker. Once you cross the finish line in first place, your Trophy will unlock.

Get Shifty
Win a race whilst using manual transmission

In the game options, you can adjust several options including the gears, which for this one you need to set to manual. With that done, start a race around Monza, to shift up press Cross, to shift down press Square. Monza is by far the easiest circuit to learn in the game, hopefully you’ll have a much easier time of it here. Once you have taken first place whilst using manual gears, your Trophy will unlock.

Enthusiast
Read information on any car in the showroom

Go from the main menu, choose showroom then choose any of the car class in the game, simply select any car to read in-depth information on the car which will unlock your Trophy.

Sign on the Dotted Line
Successfully complete a Driver/Team Negotiation during a season in Driver Career or My Team

During the season in either my team or standard career mode you get to negotiate your starting contract with the team. Alter any of the options then counter-negotiate with the team, if successful in your counter-negotiation, your Trophy will unlock once the next race starts.

Make it Yours
Edit a Driver, Car and Badge in Customisation

Select customisation from the main menu then make changes to how the car, driver and badge appears. Once you have changed all 3 and saved your changes, your Trophy will unlock.

Represent
Fill every sponsor slot with sponsors on a Car livery

Starting from the main menu choose customisation then car liveries, press Square on your current car to edit it, scroll right to the option sponsor decals. Select a sponsor for each of the 5 sponsor slots your car can have, once all 5 sponsor slots have an active sponsor, your Trophy will unlock.

Who are you!?
Change your driver head part way through a My Team or Driver Career playthrough.

Whilst going through your my team or driver career you can edit how you look, so choose Customisation and then edit the you character then save the game, at which point, your Trophy will unlock.

Ditch the Downforce
Complete a clean Time Trial lap using the ‘Maximum Top Speed’ car set up preset

Choose time trial mode then select any car, but make sure the circuit is Monza, then before you start the time trial you can alter the preset to how the car is setup. Make sure the pre-set is set to maximum speed then set a clean lap, a clean lap means you can not cut any corners, so take your time. Once you cross the finish line after setting a clean lap, your Trophy will unlock.

Making Paper
Reach $100,000,000 lifetime earnings in My Team mode

At the start of your My Team career you will sign a title sponsor who gives you money on a weekly basis and as a bonus for reaching a season goal. As you increase your driver rating you can sign secondary sponsors at driver level 2, 5, 10 and 20 these sponsors will give you money on a weekly basis and as a reward for completing race goals.

Also for each level your team acclaim goes up the sponsor money will increase so make sure you race well to increase to achieve the goals to increase your earning potential. This is a cumulative total so just keeping performing well to earn the credits, once you have earnt either the required $100,000,000, your Trophy will unlock.

We Are the Champions
Gain 9 positions during a wet race at Brazil in the Brawn BGP 001

The Brawn BGP 001 is a classic car so choose quick race, ensure one-shot qualifying is on then choose the car class, classic, choose the Brawn car which is near enough all white with very little sponsorship. Ensure the race is Brazil with wet weather conditions, set a very slow time in the qualifier. Once the race starts, push forward hard to hopefully overtake 9 other cars, if you’re not fast enough to do so, restart the process until you are, as soon as you have gained 9 positions your Trophy will unlock.

Legend Status Achieved
Win the F1 Drivers Championship

To win the F1 Drivers Championship you need to obtain enough points to be at the top of the leaderboard. The points are scored as follows for the top 10 finishing places: 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1. A bonus point is available for the fastest lap so make sure you set consistent podiums throughout your career to give you the best chance of winning the Championship. Once you successfully outscore the AI, your Trophy will unlock once it’s mathematically impossible for you to be overtaken in the standings.

Started from the Bottom
Win the Constructors Championship with your team in My Team mode

Very similar to Legend status achieved but this time your working as a team with your team mate to score as many points possible. Purchase upgrades via research and development to make your car faster and eventually you will win the Constructors title and unlock your Trophy when the season ends.

Big Name Signing
Successfully hire an acclaim level 15 or higher Driver in My Team mode

During your My Team career your 2nd drivers’ contract will expire so you can resign them or look on the driver market and sign a better driver, to get this trophy you need to sign a driver who is level 15 or higher. As long as you have enough money to buy them out of their current contract and they are level 15 or above, your Trophy will unlock once they’ve joined your team.

Front of the Grid
Achieve pole position

Start a quick race and make sure the AI difficulty is set to 1 (very easy), also, make sure one-shot qualifying is on. Now set a flying lap in the qualifier, with the AI set to very easy, you should be a good 5+ seconds a lap quicker. Once you get Pole Position, your Trophy will unlock.

The Perfect Weekend
Set the fastest time in all 3 Practice sessions, take Pole Position and win the Grand Prix

Choose quick race from the main menu, make sure the race is set to long weekend which gives you access to every session in a given race weekend. Set the AI to 1 (very easy) then start the race weekend, you need to set the fastest time in all 3 practice sessions, take pole position then go on to win the final. Once you have successfully completed everything mentioned, your Trophy will unlock.

So it Begins
Complete Ranked Placement races and achieve a Rank.

Aside from your career mode what better way of playing Formula 1 than online against the world. To unlock So It Begins, you will need to race in ranked lobbies, to do this, select multiplayer from the main menu followed by ranked. You need to complete a total of 5 placement races in order to receive your skill rating and safety rating, your finishing position in these 5 races is irrelevant, just make sure you cross the finish line. At the conclusion of the 5th race, the game will show you a screen of your skill rating, at which point, your Trophy will unlock.

Finding your Feet
Complete 10 Online Races

Complete 25 Online Races

Half Centurion
Complete 50 Online Races

Simply race and finish 50 online races, your finishing position doesn’t matter, as long as you don’t quit out or get a DNF. Once you have completed your 50th online race, your Trophy will unlock.

Full Potential
Fully upgrade any facility area in My Team

From the My Team menu select facilities to see the list of 6 facilities which are:

Aerodynamics.
Chassis.
Personnel.
Powertrain.
Durability.
Marketing.

Each of these facilities has several elements you can upgrade and each element can be upgraded several times. The quickest facility to upgrade is marketing which only has a total of 6 elements to upgrade. Once you have fully upgraded a facility, your Trophy will unlock.

One for the ‘gram
Make an adjustment within photo mode

To enter photo mode, you need to be in a race, so start any race under any conditions, pause the game, then choose the instant replay option which is photo mode. Simply change any of the options that are available to unlock your Trophy.

Who You Gonna Call!?
Beat a Personal Best Ghost and Rival Ghost in Time Trial

Choose time trial from the solo menu and then select any circuit, now set a slow and steady clean lap before returning to the garage. In the garage enter the telemetry screen and then press Triangle to find your current position in the leaderboard now select any player and then the option set as ghost before returning to the track to set a faster lap and unlock your Trophy.

Squeaky Clean
Complete 10 Clean Online races

This will be a difficult trophy to unlock due to the fact you are playing online. You need to ensure you don’t hit any other players or cut any corners or exceed track limits for it to count as a clean race, so the best thing you can do is take your time and avoid all others players. Your finishing position is irrelevant, so hang back, as long as you cross the finish line to complete a clean race 10 times, your Trophy will then unlock. Good luck!

Mad Tash for the Finish Line
Win a race in the 1992 Williams FW14B at Silverstone

Start a quick race, make sure the car class is classic, also, ensure the race is at Silverstone. Set the AI to very easy then go on to win the race driving the Williams FW14B, once you take the win, your Trophy will unlock.

The Orange Army
Win a race at Zandvoort as Max Verstappen

Start a quick race and make sure the circuit is set to Zandvoort and the car class is F1 2020, choose the Red Bull and make sure you’re driving as Max Verstappen. Now simply win the race to unlock your Trophy.

Bragging Rights
Win any online race

This has the potential to be a very difficult trophy as you need to win online against other players. The best strategy is to learn all of the circuits, especially their exact braking points, that way you are in the best position to be able to out race the opposition, eventually, hopefully, everything will fall into place and you’ll get the win, unlocking your Trophy in the process.

Red River Racer
Complete a 25% or above race at Hanoi

This can be done using any car class and circuit, just make sure the race distance is set to a minimum 25% distance which will take you around 20/25 minutes to complete. Once completed, your Trophy will unlock.

Team Building
Purchase any upgrade for a Facility in My Team

Simply select facilities from the my team menu then select any one of the 6 facilities, select any of the upgrades from that facility. If you have insufficient funds, go off and do a couple of races to earn some cash then return this menu. Once you have enough money in the bank press Cross to purchase it. At this point, the game will give you a completion date for the upgrade, return to the my team menu and advance time to this date. Once you have reached this date, your Trophy will unlock.

Here Comes the Money
Complete 2 or more Secondary Sponsor Goals in one race weekend

Secondary sponsor goals unlock as you increase your team rating so in order to be able to complete 2 of these you need to be team level 5 first. At level 5, select 2 easy sponsors with goals like finish on the podium or complete 50 laps during the next race weekend, with those goals complete your Trophy will unlock.

Its Time for the Perk-olator
Purchase all available Perks in Driver Career or My Team

Similar to Full Potential except this time your increasing your driver perks which are as follows:

Social media team.
Power mapping.
Media coaching.
Development feedback.

Each perk has 4 elements to upgrade so 16 total, once all 16 have been upgraded your Trophy will unlock.

The Camera Loves You
Answer 100 press interview questions in My Team or Driver Career

During either of the career modes, after a race you have a chance of a press interview, each interview will present you with a series of questions. The trophy is cumulative so just keep racing, getting press interviews and answering the questions, once have answered 100 questions, your Trophy will unlock.

Ohh Friends
Join a League

Choose multiplayer then leagues, finally choose any league with a blank space, once you have successfully joined the league, your Trophy will unlock.

What do you want, a medal?
Get a League Medal

Leagues are a minimum of 2 players and 5 races, league medals are awarded for the top 3 positions after the final race so by doing a league with only one other player both of you will then get a medal at the end of your 5th race. To receive your medal, simply open up your email and read the message you will have received, at which point, your Trophy will unlock.

Glove at First Sight
Equip a new pair of gloves from the Podium Pass or Item Shop

Another new feature in F1 2020 is the podium pass and item shop, by simply completing races in any game mode you will earn xp towards seasonal rewards. Each season has a different series name so at the start of the game is series 1 and lasts for approximately 8 weeks. At level 13 you will earn 2500 pit coins which is a new currency that can be used to purchase in game liveries, helmets and more importantly for this trophy: gloves.

These gloves can be equipped in the my team character customisation screen accessed by choosing the corporate menu. Having said that, because this is a seasonal reward for reaching level 13 when series 1 ends, you will return back to level 1 and have to grind out to a similar level or potentially a higher level in series 2 or whichever series is currently taking place in F1 2020 depending on when you go for Glove at First Sight.

Now just to make this even more difficult, the item shop updates on a daily and weekly basis so there is no set pattern as to when the gloves will appear in any of these inventories. On a side note, there are micro transactions in F1 2020, meaning you can purchase the pit coins rather than earning them, we at Griffins Gaming Guides do not support micro transactions, however, the option is there should you wish. As soon as you have purchased and equipped your gloves, your Trophy will unlock.

Chicken Dinner
Win any Championship Event

From the main menu choose solo then championships, next up, select the championships event type and finally the F1 sprint championship. This is a 6 round championship and is the quickest to complete. Take the win in this championship to unlock your Trophy.

Grab the Popcorn
Spectate an online race

In the online race lobby menu, you can spectate a race which will allow to watch other players race, watch until the end of the race which will unlock your Trophy.

Busy Body
Successfully complete 50 activities in My Team mode

After each race weekend you can perform activities before the next weekend these include reaction training, diver promotion filming, sponsor event just to name but a few. Each activity takes between 1-5 days to complete so simply complete 50 to unlock your Trophy.

Show Off!
Complete 5 Invitational events during My Team or Driver Career

Every so often after a race you will be approached to take part in invitational events, choose to take part in this event rather than advancing to the next weekend. Once you have completed the 5th event, your Trophy will unlock.

Maxing Out
Apply all vehicle upgrades from one R&D department

Simply earn research and development points by completing practice programs and apply those points into the departments. There are a total of 4 departments in F1 2020 and they are:

Powertrain.
Aerodynamics.
Durability.
Chassis.

Upgrades take 1-6 weeks to complete and some can fail but can be purchased again for a discount. It’s also worth noting that some of your R&D trees have team automatic updates and these updates are also required to be completed in order to unlock Maxing Out.

Example 1: No Trophy

This will result in no trophy.
The pink upgrade tree (powertrain) is fully upgraded from upgrades that you can buy but you will see one small grey upgrade at the start is an automatic team upgrade so until this upgrade has been implemented by the team your trophy will not unlock, here is an example:

The blue upgrade tree (aerodynamics) has no team automatic upgrades so once all upgrades have been purchased your trophy will unlock. Hopefully, armed with that knowledge, you will have a much better idea of the best route to take throughout your upgrade trees. Once have applied all vehicle upgrades from one R&D department your Trophy will unlock at the start of the next Grand Prix weekend.

Remember the Name
Reach a Team Acclaim level of 20 in My Team mode

Your on track results increase your teams acclaim so win as many races as possible in the My Team career. You can purchase element upgrades in your marketing facility to increase your acclaim quicker. Once your team acclaim hits level 20 your Trophy will unlock.

My Precious
Set a favourite trophy

By winning a race in career, you will unlock an in-game trophy that you can display on your driver card. To access your driver card, press Options from the main menu, then select the option trophy slot, assign the trophy you won from your career race at which point, your Trophy will unlock.

Dat Reaction Speed (DRS)
Activate DRS perfectly on all zones of any track

Each track has between 1-3 DRS zones, a DRS zone is identified by a solid green section on the circuit mini-map, to activate your DRS press Triangle as soon as you enter the zone. I suggest you choose Monaco as this only has one DRS zone located at the start / finish straight, with the DRS activated in every zone, your Trophy will then unlock.
