Author: Griffin.
Genres: Action Adventure, RPG.
God Of War Ragnarök directory.
Here is the God Of War Ragnarök Collector Trophy Guide where we will help you obtain all Relics and Sword Hilts.
There are 14 total items to collect with them being broken down as 9 Hilts and 5 Relics throughout the game which unlock special abilities you activate with L1+Circle.
Hilts, like the relics can be equipped and can give you an edge in combat depending on the situation you are facing. To decide which Hilt / Relic to use go Touchpad> Weapons> Relic then cycle through any Relic(s) you have acquired to see which one you like the look of.
Several of the Hilts will be acquired as you progress through the story, some are found in Legendary Chests where as some others are locked behind the bosses you fight by activating the Berserker Gravestone situated throughout the realms.
The Relics are also found throughout various circumstances such as bosses, hidden behind destructible walls and looted from throughout the realms.
The Hilts are a lot more difficult to acquire than the relics, you will, for one hilt, the Hilt of Frosbrandr, need to destroy all 48 of Odin’s Ravens then take down a very powerful boss, The Raven Keeper who not only summons legions of Hel Walkers during the fight, she also summons a fully grown Dragon you need to take down half way through battling the Raven Keeper so it’s safe to say you should leave this trophy until after you have completed the main story.
You also need to take down every boss or bosses locked behind the Berserker Gravestones which are some of the toughest battles in the entire game.
There are, fortunately, a good number of Hilts you can craft at the Blacksmith, however, you will need to collect all 4 of the Lost Pages found throughout 3 of the realms where Relic crafting will become available.
Check out the complete The Lost Pages Locations guide for how to acquire them all as well as what to do with them.
Once you have all 4 Lost Pages, head to any Blacksmith and go: Special Items> Relics. You can then craft any of the Relics you have the
Given the amount of collectibles there are, I have broken the Hilts and Relics down in to their own categories which are:
Collecting every Relic and Hilt will give you plenty of options in combat hopefully increasing your survivability.
Whilst I have broken down the Hilts and Relics in to their own sections, I recommend going for the Hilts and Relics in the following order, which will be the order they are acquired in the video above for reference:
- Talisman Of Meign.
- Hilt Of Gram.
- Glaive Of Dodher.
- Mystical Heirloom.
- Hilt Of Hofud.
- Hilt Of Hrotti.
- Hilt Of Dainsleif.
- Hilt Of Ridill.
- Hilt Of Angrvadall.
- Hilt Of Tyrfing.
- Huldra Project #9.
- Hilt Of Forsbrandr.
- Hilt Of Skofnung.
- Motsognir’s Call.
Acquiring the Hilts and Relics in this order will not only be the most streamlined way of collecting them all throughout the game, it will also work towards helping you through the difficulty of the challenges you will come up against.
Hilts
There are 9 Hilts to find throughout God Of War Ragnarök which are the:
- Hilt Of Gram.
- Hilt Of Hofud.
- Hilt Of Hrotti.
- Hilt Of Dainsleif.
- Hilt Of Ridill.
- Hilt Of Angrvadall.
- Hilt Of Tyrfing.
- Hilt Of Forsbrandr.
- Hilt Of Skofnung.
Collecting them all will be one of the toughest challenges in God Of War Ragnarök
Hilt Of Gram
Alfheim, Temple Of Light.
Grants a burst of Rage and applies Stun to nearby enemies.
Proceed through the Temple of Light in Alfheim either during the main story with Tyr and Atreus or come back later in the game.
Either way, when you get to the wheel you need to spin to bring the pedestal down allowing you to ricochet the Axe across to the light crystal removing the light panel, go through to the right and complete the puzzle to drop the Legendary Chest down which contains the Hit of Gram.
Check out the Alfheim Legendary Chest Locations for exactly what you need to do. You need Legendary Chest 3 in the guide.
Hilt of Hofud
Vanaheim, The Northern Wilds.
Distort space and time by creating a Realm Shift.
Progress through the Northern Wilds in the main story past where you previously took down the Nidhögg, throw a spear in to the wall, jump across and use the Celestial Altar to make it night time (all story progression).
You will then fight Heimdall who you will need to defeat using the Draupnir Spear but be aware this is a tough fight as he is fast, hits very hard and can dodge the majority of your attacks with ease.
Throw a Spear in to the ground then dodge away from it, dodge back where he will should be near the Spear you threw in to the ground allowing you to detonate the Spear stunning him allowing you to get in some crucial hits.
Once Hemidall has been defeated, you will receive the Hilt of Hofud as a reward.
Hilt of Hrotti
Vanaheim, The Crater, The Plains.
Applies a mark to nearby enemies. Attacking a marked enemy reduces Runic Cooldowns of the equipped weapon. Killing a marked enemy grants a Blessing of Runic.
As you progress through The Plains, there will be 3 Travellers dotted around in certain locations laying in wait. These are tough, heavily armoured enemies who are pretty much invulnerable to stagger, rarely have their attacks interrupted regardless of how hard you hit, bring a massive 2 handed sword as well as the ability to cast heavy magic attacks at you.
You need to take down any 2 Travellers where the 2nd will drop the Hilt of Hrotti.
You will face off against 1 Traveller as you work through the Spirit Mementos Artefact Set whilst collecting the 2nd half of the Brooch. He’s known as Egil the Oath Guard and will be the simplest of the 3 to defeat.
You then need to go off and find one of the other Travellers, it doesn’t matter which one, although the one I will list first down below will be the easiest to take down as the latter Traveller has other enemies to deal with making it slightly more of a challenge.
Firstly, for either Traveller, ensure that it is night time which you will have plenty of opportunity to do whilst working towards the Return of the River Favour, Pure Of Hart, Invasive Species, Rightful Place or collecting the Spirit Mementos for example by using a Celestial Altar.
The easiest other Traveller to take down will be found by mantling over the cliff from the Crater Entrance Mystic Gateway at night, going round to the left through the passageway (it’s blocked during the day) then grapple across to face off against Jorgen the Oath Guard.
Either way, take 2 of the 3 Travellers down to acquire the Hilt of Hrotti. Take all 3 down for a very useful Hind for the Draupnir Spear, the Hind of Deadly Vitality.
Hilt Of Dainsleif
Midgard, Alberich Hollow.
Slam the ground to create an explosion of Seidr poison, leaving behind a hazard.
The Hilt of Dainsleif is a craftable Hilt so you will firstly need to ensure you have collected every Lost Page then, if you haven’t done so already, go to Alberich Hollow which is above Dragon Beach in Svartalfheim and can be accessed after acquiring the Draupnir Spear.
Proceed through the area where you will be ambushed by Ormstunga, a very powerful Grim.
Take it down and collect all of the loot including the Svefnthorn then head to a Blacksmith, where, as long as you have the following ingredients you will be able to craft the Hilt Of Dainsleif:
- Svefnthorn.
- Hacksilver: 6,000.
- All 4 Lost Pages.
Go to Special Items> Relics to craft the Hilt of Dainsleif.
Hilt Of Ridill
Midgard, Lake of Nine.
Unleash a wave of Shock to electrify enemies.
The Hilt of Ridill is another craftable Hilt so firstly, ensure you have all 4 Lost Pages to unlock Relic crafting at the Blacksmith then complete the Animal Instincts Favour by clearing the 4 Raider Camps in Midgard.
Check out the Besties trophy guide for exactly what you need to do.
The last Raider camp you clear will spawn the Raider Chieftan: Oluf Nautson who is a tough fight at lower levels so come back later if you’re not powerful enough.
Either way, once Oluf Nautson is down collect all of his loot including the Crackle of Bilskirnir.
Head to the Blacksmith ensuring you have the following items / requirements to craft the Hilt of Ridill:
- Crackle of Bilskirnir.
- The 4 Lost Pages.
- Hacksilver: 3,000.
Go to Special Items> Relics at the Blacksmith where you can then craft the Hilt of Ridill.
Hilt of Angrvadall
Alfheim, The Forbidden Sands.
Slash forward three waves of light that deal increased damage against enemies afflicted with Sonic.
Another craftable Hilt meaning you will need to acquire all 4 Lost Pages as well as having completed the Favour: The Desert Door in Alfheim which can only be done after you have completed the following 3 Favours:
- Secret of the Sands Favour.
- Song of the Sands Favour. Which also unlocks Full Gufa.
- Freyr’s Gift Favour.
You then need to find the 2 halves of the Alfheim Barrens Key in The Forbidden Sands then head to the Northern section of The Forbidden Sands, then, if it’s your first time here, mantle up the pillar and smash through the wall and clear the Light Elf ambush.
Whether you have been here before or if it’s your first time, head to the left wall and open the door ensuring you are prepared for a decent fight against Gravel Belly, a tough Drake who hits hard and requires a good level of power to bring down.
Once Gravel Belly us down, collect all of its loot which will include Skirnir’s Gambanteinn.
You can then head to the Blacksmith at any point afterwards where you will need the following items to craft the Hilt of Angrvadall:
- Skirnir’s Gambanteinn.
- All 4 Lost Pages.
- Hacksilver: 4,500.
Once you have all of the required items, craft the Hilt of Angrvadall.
Hilt of Tyrfing
Vanaheim, The Abandoned Village.
Charge the sword to sacrifice Health and deal damage based on the amount of Health lost.
The Hilt of Tyrfing will be the final Hilt in this guide you can craft so you will, of course, need to have all 4 Lost Pages to unlock Relic crafting at the Blacksmith.
You will also need to have Nar’s Cup which is dropped by a tough, Alpha Wulver: Blatönn who is in Vanaheim, The Abandoned Village.
During the Creatures of Prophecy main story mission where you are attempting to rescue Freyr, Freya will point out the Alpha Wulver before you go through to the area where the decapitated Nidhogg’s corpse remains so you will more than likely have taken out Blatönn, acquiring Nar’s Cup already.
However, if you missed it then we need to go back and get it by following the path from Freyr’s Camp during the Creatures of Prophecy main mission all the way round to the The Abandoned Village on the border of Eastern Barri Woods.
You can take down Blatönn acquiring Nar’s Cup from the loot it drops.
You can take down Blatönn acquiring Nar’s Cup from the loot it drops.
Once you have Nar’s Cup, head to a Blacksmith ensuring you have the following items required to craft the Hilt of Tyrfing:
- Nar’s Cup.
- The 4 Lost Pages.
- Hacksilver: 7,500.
Once you have the required items, craft the Hilt of Tyrfing.
Hilt Of Forsbrandr
Niflheim, The Raven Tree.
Push enemies back wit force and grant an aura of protection.
The Hilt of Forsbrandr will probably take you longer overall to acquire than all other Hilts combined as you need to firstly, destroy all 48 of Odin’s Ravens scattered throughout the realms.
Destroying all 48 Ravens will be part of the, The Eyes Of Odin Favour which will begin once you destroy the first Raven you remove and in order to find them all you will have to near enough complete the entire game.
Check out the, The Eyes Of Odin Favour guide for where to find and how to destroy all 48 Ravens in God Of War Ragnarök.
Then, and only then, can you open every Chest in front of the Raven Tree in Niflheim which will give you some incredibly powerful Runic Abilities as well as spawn in a nasty boss: The Raven Keeper.
The Raven Keeper is a Revenant who hits very hard, she also summons legions of Hel Walkers who are relentless in their attacks so make good use of any AOE attacks you have to damage them all at once and can be fought by taking a right in to the arena as you go back to the Mystic Gateway from The Raven Tree
She will summon a legion of Hel Walkers as well as a very powerful Dragon so ensure you are high level and have maxed out gear where possible.
Keep the Hel-Walkers off your back as much as you can as they can inflict heavy damage to you and health is very limited during this lengthy fight so conserving your energy is key to winning.
Once The Raven Keeper is down past roughly 20% health, she will then summon, The Pale One, a very tough Dragon with a bifröst health bar, a high attack and defence as well as the ability to fly off and swoop in for some nasty attacks.
It’s important you drop The Pale One as quickly and as efficiently as possible as your health is very limited so dancing with a Dragon isn’t recommended.
Once The Pale One is down, finish off The Raven Keeper as well as any remaining Hel-Walkers then ensure you loot all of the goodies that drop, including the Hilt of Forsbrandr.

Hilt of Skofnung
Midgard, The King’s Grave.
The sword unleashes its power from the souls within…
You have a series of incredible tough challenges that lay before you en route to acquiring the Hilt of Skofnung which present in the form of bosses locked behind berserker gravestones found throughout the realms.
Some gravestones have 1 boss locked behind which is incredibly challenging, other gravestones have 2 bosses inside of them which is next level difficulty and there’s even a triple fight in the far reaches of Alfheim.
You will acquire the Inert Hilt of Skofnung as you make your way through Midgard during the story whilst looking for the Norns and the Gravestones themselves will spawn once you have crafted Draupnir later in the story.
However, the Berserkers are end game fights and even then they’re really tough.
You need to take down 12 Berserkers then defeat King Hrolf Kraki who is the 2nd toughest boss in the entire game.
Check out the complete Grave Mistake trophy guide for how to find and the best way to take down every Berserker in the game where you will ultimately receive the Hilt of Skofnung as a reward for felling the King.
Relics
There are 5 Relics to collect throughout God Of War Ragnarök which are the:
Collect them all to greatly improve your efficiency in combat.
Talisman of Meign
Svartlefheim, The Applecore.
Grants a bonus to Melee Damage for a short duration.
You will receive this relic as you make your way through The Applecore in the main story.
You will come to a room where a Dwarf has died after being crushed by rocks, interact with the corpse to get a tutorial abut equipping Relics.
The Relic you receive from the deceased Dwarf will be the Talisman of Meign.
Glaive Of Dodher
Vanaheim, The Abandoned Village.
Throw a Bifröst chakram that swerves into enemies.
As you are making your way through The Abandoned Village with Freya in the story, you will come against a tough boss: Fiske.
Take him down and collect all of the loot he drops to acquire the Glaive of Dodher.
Mystical Heirloom
Midgard, Lake Of Nine.
Awakens something dormant, deep down inside of the bearer.
Once you have the Draupnir Spear, head back to Midgard, Lake Of Nine’s, Lake Of Nine Mystic Gateway then head South across the frozen lake to find a weak point in the ice you can throw the Spear in to.
Clear the ice block out of the way, jump across and look to your left to find the Mystic Heirloom on the floor in front of the corpse.
Huldra Project #9
Any Blacksmith after completing the main story.
Turn Mimir’s discomfort into a Bifröst blast against nearby enemies.
Firstly, ensure you have collected the Lost Pages and have completed the main story then go to any Blacksmith.
You will then need to complete the entire main story of the game, head through the entire section and head down through the credits until you have control of your character again.
Go to any Blacksmith afterwards, then, as long as you have the following items you will be able to craft Huldra Project #9:
- The Lost Pages.
- Hacksilver: 10,000.
Go to Special Items> Relics and craft the Huldra Project #9.
Motsognir’s Call
Niflheim, Aesir Prison Wreckage.
Create a shockwave that deals high Stun to surrounding enemies.
You will be able to access the Aesir Prison Wreckage area in Niflheim once you have completed the main story by heading forward taking the 2nd left over the ice bridge and making your way around and down the area to the Aesir Prison Wreckage location.
Once in the Aesir Prison, take out the Einherjar then throw a Spear into the strut over the gap and use the Spear to drop down to the next level.
Clear out the Einherjar on this floor then pull the chain dropping the Spear you threw previously down one level then swing down to the lower level.
Take down the remaining Einherjar and throw a Spear into the lowest contraption opposite then use the chain to raise it up 2 levels.
Use the Spears to jump back up to the highest floor where you will be able to jump across to the section with the Legendary Chest.
Look on the floor to the left of the Chest to find Motsognir’s Call behind the corpse.
Once you have acquired all 9 Hilts as well as the 5 Relics your trophy will unlock.
That’s the God Of War Ragnarök Collector Trophy Guide complete I hope it helps you obtain all Relics and Sword Hilts.
