How it’s Going
Fully repair the Amulet of Yggdrasil

Here is the God Of War Ragnarök How It’s Going trophy guide where we will help you fully repair the Amulet of Yggdrasil.

You will acquire the Amulet of Yggdrasil once you have defeated the Nidhögg in Vanaheim as part of the main story so progress through the game to this point.

The Amulet has 9 slots in total with 2 being repaired once you acquire the Amulet leaving 7 slots needing to be repaired which can be done at any Blacksmith providing you have a Jewel of Yggdrasil, one of which is needed to be repair each broken slot in the Amulet..

Jewels of Yggdrasil can be found throughout the realms with 2 being dropped by enemies in the main story and the remaining 5 being lootable from Legendary Chests.

Once you have a Jewel of Yggdrasil, go to the Blacksmith and repair the Amulet by going: Armour> Amulet> Upgrade.

Upgrading the Amulet allows you to insert Enchantments helping you through combat scenarios providing you have the slots available.

Given the fact a fully upgraded Amulet will give you access to 9 Enchantments you can have equipped at any point it’s well worth your while to increase your damage output and or reduce the damage you take from status effects, certain attacks etc.

The Amulet as well as the 7 Jewels of Yggdrasil can be found at the following locations:

The Amulet of Yggdrasil

Vanaheim, The Abandoned Village.

Proceed through the story to where Freya tries to free her bonds from the World Tree as placed by her former Husband, take out the Nidhogg and collect the loot it drops to collect the Amulet of Yggdrasil where you will go through a short tutorial unlocking How it Started.

You will then be able to start collecting the Jewels of Yggdrasil once you have the Draupnir Spear (story progression).

Jewel of Yggdrasil 1

Midgard, Lake Of Nine, Well of Urd.

In Midgard, you will fight a boss called the Frost Phantom as you make your way towards the Norns which will be the first of it’s kind you will encounter in the game.

Take the boss down by hitting the glowing orb as best as you can then once it’s weakened, 2 springs will be revealed in the local area which need to be destroyed by throwing your Axe in to them.

Once the 2nd spring has been destroyed the boss will be close to death so beat on it some more where you can trigger a fatal strike.

Pick up all of the loot the Frost Phantom drops which will include A Jewel of Yggdrasil.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 2

Svartalfheim, The Forge.

After Kratos has the Draupnir Spear forged continue through the area to where you clear the first couple of sections of wall learning how the Spear works.

When you get to the open area you will be ambushed by several Grim as well as 2 Ogres.

Take down every enemy who stands in your way paying attention to where the Ogres die. If you have any other enemies to take down, do so then return to where the Ogres fall and collect all of the loot items, one of which will be a Jewel of Yggdrasil.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 3

Midgard, Lake of Nine, Shores of Nine, The Oarsmen.

You can collect this Jewel of Yggdrasil by looting the Legendary Chest in The Oarsmen area which is a challenging section of the Shores of Nine found to the North of The Lake of Nine.

Take out the Barbarian Chief then head up to the top area, defeat the Centaur where you can drop down to the lower section, pull the chain to move ship revealing a stair case leading you back in to the ruins.

Check out the Midgard Legendary Chest locations for exactly what you need to do. You need Legendary Chest 6.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 4

Svartalfheim, Alberich Island.

You can find this Jewel of Yggdrasil in the Legendary Chest at the top of Alberich Island which you can get to by swinging across to the wooden platform, clearing the rocks and riding the elevator up the cliff face then heading to the top of the island.

Check out the Svartalfheim Legendary Chest locations for exactly what you need to do. You need Legendary Chest 11.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 5

Vanaheim, Nóatún’s Garden.

This Jewel of Yggdrasil can be found in the Legendary Chest in Nóatún’s Garden which can be looted by going across the bridge, burning the vines and dropping the counter weight to unlock the door.

Check out the complete Vanaheim Legendary Chests locations for how to be able to clear the way to the Legendary Chest. You need Legendary Chest 6.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 6

Alfheim, The Forbidden Sands.

Before you can access The Forbidden Sands you will need to complete the Secret of the Sands Favour then before you can loot the Legendary Chest which contains the Jewel of Yggdrasil I strongly recommend you complete the Song of the Sands Favour which will also unlock Full Gufa.

Doing so will subdue the sand storm in the area making getting around a lot easier.

Head over to the East side of The Forbidden Sands where you can mantle up to The Elven Sanctum.

Check out the complete Alfheim Legendary Chest locations to see exactly what you need to do. You need Legendary Chest 12.

Jewel of Yggdrasil 7

Vanaheim, The Crater, The Jungle.

Before you can head to The Crater you will need to acquire Freyr’s Boat which can be done by continuing through the Story to where Kratos meets up with Hildisvíni. Complete the story quest where you will be able to start the Scent of Survival Favour, which, once completed will land you in The Crater.

Progress through the area to The Jungle and complete the Return of the River Favour to flood The Crater where you can take out the 2 Ogres, jump across the chasm at daytime then make your way through and around to a pit you need to unlock to escape allowing you to loot the Legendary Chest which holds the Jewel of Yggdrasil.

Check out the complete Vanaheim Legendary Chest locations to see exactly what you need to do. You need Legendary Chest 13.

Upgrading the Amulet

Sindri’s House.

Once you have all 7 Jewels of Yggdrasil, ensure that you upgrade the Amulet at any Blacksmith which will maximise the amount of slots you can use in the Amulet by going to the Blacksmith> Armour> Amulet> Upgrade then hold Square to upgrade using 1 Jewel of Yggdrasil per slot.

As soon as you have repaired the final slot in the Amulet of Yggdrasil your trophy will unlock.

That’s the God Of War Ragnarök How It’s Going trophy guide complete, I hope it helps you fully repair the Amulet of Yggdrasil.
