Do a barrel roll!
Complete the Barrel Roll Racecraft action
You will be able to get this nice and easily in the 2nd event in the Winter Bash story where you are driving Electric. Continue through the race fighting your way to first place ensuring there are no other vehicles around you getting in the way then take the tight left hander after the boost gates and race down the straight staying just right of the central line.
There will be a ramp you need to clip the edge of aiming to have half your car on the ramp itself and the other half hanging of the side at high speed where you will do a barrel roll. The barrel roll will count as long as you go all the way over even if your roof touches the floor. If the game resets your vehicle you will need to try again, however, once you successfully flip your car right over left and mange to drive away without being reset, your Trophy will unlock.

The racing car
Drive at least 200 miles (321km) in the Bugatti Bolide
Depending on your skill, you may well get this along the way as you go for You’re one smooth operator, however, if you are highly skilled and manage to unlock that trophy before hand then simply load up any circuit of your choice and grind out the mileage until you reach the requirement.

What do you mean, Drift?!
Score at least 1,000,000 points at Okutama Sprint Drift Stage – Full Route
This is a rough, harsh trophy to unlock, the main problem I found is there is no specific vehicle you need to use and the freedom that brought me got in my head and made it a lot harder than perhaps it should have been. In the end I found the Subaru BRZ Drift-Tuned the best car for the job as it’s powerful, agile and can drift on a dime so to speak. You might find it a lot easier to complete if you turn off both Traction and Stability controls which can be done by going: Main Menu> Options> Difficulty then turn both Traction Control and Stability Control to 0.
In order to set the event up with the correct settings go: Main Menu> Race Creator> Discipline: Drift> Class: Clubman Drift> Location: Okutama Sprint> Route: Drift Stage – Full Route. Just before you begin the event, go in to the Handling Menu (Square before beginning the event) and move the sliders in the Vehicle Tuning to the following:
- Gear Ratio: Two notches left.
- Springs. Two notches left.
- Dampers: Two notches left.
- Ant-Roll Bars: Two notches left.
- Brake Bias: One notch left.
Then begin the event and get ready for a tough, long, arduous challenge. The circuit is tough enough to get around in a circuit event, however, drifting round the 4.02 mile elevation changing, tight cornering, tunnel racing drifter’s nightmare that the Okutama Sprint is whilst achieving a score of 1,000,000+ is a really tall order. The key to getting this done is the multiplier you receive for chaining drifts together, now you will get a multiplier for every drift that has a break in between it rather than for a continuous drift so drift, race, drift, race all the way around the circuit which is so much easier said than done.
You need to make the orange circle that appears whenever you Drift your main priority as that is the multiplier as well as the drift meter. Keep that circle mostly full and you stand a much better chance of achieving the score. You can hold the handbrake or tap the brake when on a straight and angle car hard at speed to do a quick powerslide which will usually count as a drift, which won’t score you many points but it will keep that all important multiplier up.
If you touch the sides of the circuit, however, you will lose not only your multiplier but any un banked score as well meaning you have to be more and more careful and controlled the higher your multiplier score goes meaning you will have a much higher loss. That combined with the fact the developers seem to be unsure as to what constitutes an actual drift means this is the worse combination in video games: skill and luck. Sometimes you will drift perfectly with minimal effort, other times you will do the exact same thing and it won’t count so be patient with this one, it will take many attempts then eventually everything will click and work where you will achieve a score of a million plus earning your trophy in the process.

Wow, that was a great corner!
Complete 5 Drift events with the 2014 SRT Viper GTS-R Drift Tuned
To make this simple, ensure you play through the main Winter Bash story where you will unlock SMOKIN’ SAVAGE SLIDING! which will complete 3 Drift events along the way in chapters 1, 5 and 8 in the 2014 SRT Viper GTS-R Drift Tuned. You can then customise a Race Creator event by going from the Main Menu> Race Creator> Discipline: Drift> Class: Pro Drift> Vehicles: 2014 SRT Viper GTS-R Drift Tuned and I recommend drifting round Crescent Valley as it’s short, tight and perfect for drifting. Set the laps to 1 as you only need to complete Drift events rather than win them which will unlock your trophy at the conclusion of the fifth event.

Vintage Hero
Win 3 Time Attack events with the BMW 2002 tii Race Car
If you’re looking at the easiest way to get this done complete the Winter Bash story up to and including chapter 3, Cold Pursuit which, as long as you achieve first place will count as 1 win. After this go: Main Menu> Race Creator> Discipline: Time Attack> Class: Vintage Touring Car> Laps 1. Any other settings are as you like them including the track choice which can be whatever you feel like racing around with the Crescent Valley, Oval Circuit being one of the easiest to navigate. Ensure the AI is set to Easy if you don’t fancy a challenge then go on to win the event. Repeat these steps for a total of 3 wins unlocking your trophy at the conclusion of the 3rd Time Attack.

Need for Speed
Reach 265 mph (426 kph) in the Bugatti Bolide
This sounds hard but with the correct settings it’s very achievable. To achieve a speed of over 265 mph go Main Menu> Race Creator> Modifiers: Boosts, Lap Boosts> Discipline: Circuit Racing> Class: GT Hypercar> Location: Indianapolis> Route: Oval Circuit> Conditions: Dry> Drivers 2. In the Advanced tab, ensure you have Vehicle and Mechanic Upgrades set to On then purchase the following upgrades which you will need for You’re one smooth operator anyway so you might as well purchase them if you haven’t yet done so:
- Power: Stage 5.
- Acceleration: Stage 1.
- Braking: Stage 3.
- Handling: Stage 5.
Purchasing every required upgrade will cost you $83,250. Once you’re all set, load up the event and take the first 2 corners smoothly then on the straight you can use your boost by tapping L1 whilst accelerating which will easily push you over the required speed unlocking your trophy in the process.

You’re one smooth operator
Beat a 03:03.765 lap in Time Trial at Strada Alpina (Circuito Stradale) in Bugatti Bolide
The easiest way to set up a Time Trial for the Bolide is to go from the Main Menu> Race Creator> Discipline: Time Trial> Class: GT Hypercar> Vehicles: Bugatti Bolide> Location: Strada Alpina> Route: Circuito Stradale Strada Alpina. Then in the Advanced tab ensure you have both Vehicle Upgrades and Mechanic Upgrades set to On, Damage Level as visual only then once the event has been created press Triangle to open the Upgrade page selecting the following upgades:
- Power: Stage 5.
- Acceleration: Stage 1.
- Braking: Stage 3.
- Handling: Stage 5.
All of which will cost you $83,250. Begin the event when you’re ready and be prepared to fail this one a lot as it is easily the toughest challenge GRID Legends has ever presented the player with. The Bolide is a very heavy very powerful, wide car making tight turns very tricky to navigate through, fast chicanes had to take and long straights tricky to come out of where you usually have a hairpin to navigate through.
Being a Time Attack you have virtually unlimited laps and I can’t stress how important it is to use lap 1 as what’s known as a sighting lap then use every subsequent lap to shave time off where you can. You will make mistakes as you go through the circuit and the time is brutal to achieve. I used the following handling set up in order to beat the time which will hopefully help you out:
- Gear Ratio: Standard.
- Springs: One notch right.
- Dampers: Standard.
- Anti-Roll Bars: One notch right.
- Brake Bias: Standard.
This will make the car more stable navigating the chicanes as well as keep your acceleration high coming out of the tricky corners whilst being able to maintain a high speed along the straights. Use the ghost as well to gauge how we’ll you’re doing, I messed up on my second lap on my run and spun out but I still came in at 3 minutes 9 seconds, I then went past my ghost on lap 3 and knew that if I didn’t mess up I would be very close to the time.
Also, one final piece of advice is to come off the accelerator to slow down rather than brake in the chicanes and practice does make perfect, if it takes you 10 laps to learn how the car handles, your racing line and braking points then 10 it is, if it takes 100 then so be it. You will get better over time then once you do complete a lap achieving a time of 03:03:764 or under, your trophy will unlock.
That’s the GRID Legends DLC Pack 4 Winter Bash trophy guide complete I hope it helps you through the pack.
