Horizon Call Of The Mountain Trophy Guide

Welcome to the Horizon Call Of The Mountain trophy guide which will help you earn all 34 trophies as you progress through Aloy’s story in fully detailed VR Worlds as you become the Huntress on a new adventure.

  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, PS VR2.
  • Trophies: 34: Platinum: 1, Gold: 4, Silver: 11, Bronze: 18.
  • Release Date: 22nd February 2024.
  • Missable: Nothing is missable as there is free roam after the story concludes.
  • Glitched: Nothing yet.
  • Online: None.
  • Difficulty Rating: 4/10.
  • Approx. time to 100%: Around 12 Hours, could be more, depends on how much exploring you want to do.

Stage 1: Complete the Story, Collect all Collectables, Mission-Specific Miscellaneous Trophies
Your first playthrough should be to collect all collectable types and earn mission-specific trophies across the entire game.

The game has four collectable types:

  1. Warning Beacons (Full Alert).
  2. Lore (Scholar).
  3. Cairns (Master Cairn Builder).
  4. Legendary Climbs (Legendary Climber).

Check out Full Alert for a video guide for all the collectables and check out the individual trophies for more information.

The mission-specific trophies you need to look out for (in order) are as follows:

NOTE: In Chapter 2: Pilgrim’s Trail, you will reach a point where the path splits. Once you take one direction, you are locked into that direction for the chapter, and you will need to replay Chapter 2 after the game to get the collectables on the other path. This guide differentiates these collectables with [LEFT PATH] and [RIGHT PATH] tags before the collectable. After you complete the final chapter, you can then replay Chapter 2.

Stage 2: Challenge Hub Trophies

The three trophies that aren’t unlocked during the story are all tied to different game modes that can be started from the Hub area you are constantly going in and out of. It is suggested to do these after the story so you can fully have the controls and skills down. Check out the individual trophies for information to complete these game modes.

With all of the above complete you will then unlock:

Difficulty & Time Estimate:
The difficulty for the entire story is a 3/10, if you use the helpful settings below. The only “difficult” part of this trophy list is On Target, which is about a 7/10 by itself. Averaging everything out, this trophy list is very doable at a 4/10, but you may struggle with that one trophy.

The time estimate can wildly vary, based on how many times you need to take your PSVR2 off to find collectables. If you can remember multiple locations at once, you don’t need to constantly take your headset off and look at the guide over and over. The time is also based on if you do everything in one playthrough.

Helpful Settings:
Below are optional helpful settings that can be found in the pause menu. These settings do not lock any trophies.

  • Auto-Crafting.
  • Auto Load Arrows.
  • Aim Assistance (Enabled + Gaze).
  • Damage Dealt (Up to 5x).
  • Damage Received (Up to 0%).
  • Disable Falling While Climbing.
  • Climbing Reach Multiplier (Up to 2.0x).
  • Slow Time When Jumping.
  • Slow Time In Tool Selector.
  • Auto Rotation when Climbing.

You can also change around how you move about, if certain options make you feel sick you may want to experiment in the Comfort Settings.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Fully Armed trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Fully Armed
Collected all of the Weapon and Ammo types

To earn this trophy, you will first need to collect all the ammo type materials for both the Bow and Blast Sling. Luckily, this is very easy as there are dozens upon dozens of every ammo type scattered across every chapter, so you’d really need to go out of your way to not get these. The ammo types gradually unlock, and the final one will be found in Chapter 9: Devil’s Anger Ascent.

The ammo types are as follows:

Bow Ammo Types:

  • Normal Arrow.
  • Precision Arrow.
  • Blaze Arrow.
  • Shocker Arrow.
  • Tear Arrow.

Blast Sling Ammo Types:

  • Frost Bomb.
  • Flame Bomb.

After collecting all the materials, you may need to craft a few arrows to actually “collect” them. When holding your bow, tilt it to the side to reveal the ammo crafting interface (pictured below). If an ammo type is at zero, hold Square on it to craft it. You don’t need to use the ammo for the trophy.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Full Alert trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Full Alert
Shot all Warning Beacons in Horizon Call of the Mountain

There are a total of 111 Warning Beacons across all 12 chapters of the game. Warning Beacons are targets (pictured below) that can be shot with a Bow and Arrow. You will no doubt need to follow a guide to find them all.

Warning Beacons, among all other collectables, can only be tracked after the game has finished. If you miss a collectable in a chapter, you’ll need to replay the entire chapter up to that point to get it. That is why it is highly recommended to get all the collectables during your first playthrough. If you die or fail a checkpoint, you will need to go back and redo the collectables in that checkpoint, as they do not instantly save.

Check out PS5Trophies’ 100% Collectable playlist for all the collectables in the game. You can also use the video below and click onto the next chapter’s video that pops up at the end. If you miss a collectable during your first playthrough, you can then use this guide to find specific Lore, Cairns, and Legendary Climbs via chapter select after the game.

While fighting the Stormbird, you have the ability to shoot the machine’s canisters, which are located around the pectoral region (pictured below). This will heavily damage the machine with the elemental explosion. You will most likely get this without trying, but make sure to keep aiming around those spots until you earn the trophy.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Lights Out trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Lights Out
Shoot a Watcher in the eye before it spots you

This trophy is quite easy to earn, and the easiest place to do this is in Chapter 6: Mother’s Tears. If you chose to do the first section in complete stealth, there will be another stealth section afterwards where you can fire into a Watcher’s eye. If you haven’t completed this trophy by the end of the game, you can easily restart Chapter 6 and quickly shoot a Watcher.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Heavy Hitter trophy

Heavy Hitter
Used the Ballista or Blaze Barrels to Damage a Machine

The easiest way to earn this trophy is during the Thunderjaw boss fight at the end of Chapter 5: Talonreach Ascent. When the Thunderjaw is close to any of the green Blaze Barrels on the ground (picture below), shoot the barrel to damage him and unlock this trophy.

If you don’t unlock this while playing naturally, you can always craft Ballista arrows for your bow and hit any machine.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Carja in Shadow trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

Carja in Shadow
Got through a Watcher Stealth Area Undetected

During Chapter 6: Mother’s Tears, you will run into a group of Watchers. The game will strongly urge you to stay in the tall grass and get past them stealthily. This trophy is quite easy if you keep your head on a swivel, and make sure the Watchers have their backs turned before you attempt to move. You don’t actually have to crouch, you can fully stand up in the grass and it will count as hidden. If you didn’t get it during Chapter 6, you can also earn it during Chapter 2 if you take the path to the right.

If you haven’t unlocked this by the end of the game, check out the Helpful Settings section for the most best settings for keep yourself alive. The quickest and easiest chapter is Chapter 1: Brightdawn, so replay that carefully for this trophy.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain Top of the Class trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

Top of the Class
Achieved the highest score at the Dawn’s Grasp Assault Course

The Assault Course can be found inside the Challenge Hub, which can be accessed either through the starting menu or going down the elevator in Dawn’s Grasp. For this trophy, you will need to beat Aloy’s top score of 1500. Your score is based off the route and time you take.

Read the Helpful Settings section to learn the best settings to climb way faster. With those settings, this trophy can easily be done on the first try. You cannot do this trophy until you’ve unlocked the Grapple, which is unlocked in Chapter 10. Make sure to watch the video below to stick to the correct path, as you can’t get to 1500 points unless you take the right route. You should aim to complete the course in about 1:55.

Horizon Call Of The Mountain On Target trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

On Target
Achieved the highest score at the Dawn’s Grasp Archery Range

This is the only hard trophy of the trophy list. You can find the Archery Range in the Challenge Hub, which can be accessed either through the starting menu or going down the elevator in Dawn’s Grasp. For this trophy, you will need to beat Aloy’s top score of 1500. Your score is based off the speed you can hit all the targets, plus the amount of time you hit the special target in the back.

The order in which the targets come up is the same every time, so practice makes perfect. Make sure you have the Helpful Settings enabled (especially Aim Assist + Gaze Tracking), and give it a go. There is no penalty for missing shots so feel free to go crazy, but drawing the bow back all the way will make the shot more accurate.

If you want to get to 1500 points, you will need to hit the golden target that pops up in the back, in front of the waterfall (pictured above). This target pops up and goes down by itself three times, and if you miss it you most likely won’t reach 1500. Watch the video below to visualize the speed you need to complete this.
