Here is the Lies of P Special Weapon Collector trophy guide which will help you collect all Special Weapons of which there are 11 in the game with the majority of them being acquired by exchanged Boss Ergo into weapons with a few other requirements you need to meet as well.
Special Weapons are just that, special, hard hitting versions of weapons additional to those you can find throughout Krat in various chests. It is very important that you don’t consume any boss soul once you have them. The boss souls will give you a nice boost of Ergo, however, if you consume just one of them then you will either have to go through an additional playthrough or restart the game, neither of which are worth the few thousand you will receive regardless how close you are to your next level.
For the final 2 weapons you will need to acquire them on specific playthroughs, one on your first playthrough where you need to focus on lying then the final weapon can be obtained on your 2nd playthrough which you should make your truth run.
Special Weapons won’t become available until much later in the game as you firstly need to make your way through the treacherous St Frangelico Cathedral Chapel, refer to the St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel shortcut if it’s your first time going through if you aren’t sure where the shortcut is to save a lot of hassle.
There are a lot of missable elements throughout Lies of P, some of which will prevent you from being able to access certain Special Weapons so to that end, refer to the Lies of P Story Progression Essentials guide and the Lies of P Story Lies and Truths guide to avoid making any mistakes throughout the game.
Go through the Cathedral Library to where you find an Antlered Elite pacing around, take it down then use the elevator at the back of the area to find Alidoro, an NPC who you need to lie to on your first playthrough by sending him to the Venigni Factory. With the dialogue over, speak to him again where you can then trade boss Ergo for Special Weapons.
Whichever option you choose Alidoro will eventually become available in Hotel Krat after you have defeat the Black Rabbit Brotherhood and have harvested the Gold Coin Fruit, continue playing then check back where he can appear at any time. Speak with Alidoro to have him start training Special Weapons with you.
The Special Weapons, their requirements and a brief overview of what they offer you in combat are as follows:
- Seven-Coil Spring Sword.
- Etiquette.
- Holy Sword of the Ark.
- Find Alidoro. If you followed the guide, Alidoro will need retrieving from the Venigni Factory.
- Trident of the Covenant.
- Puppet Ripper.
- Finding Alidoro Again. If you followed the guide, Alidoro will be in the Barren Swamp Entrance biome.
- Frozen Feast.
- Explorer Hugo. Speak to Explorer Hugo before defeating the Puppet-Devouring Green Monster boss.
- Two Dragon’s Sword.
- Slaying Alidoro. If you followed the guide, Alidoro will need his dialogue exhausting then be killed after defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood boss.
- Uroboros’s Eye.
- Noblesse Oblige.
- Golden Lie.
- Proof of Humanity.
Seven-Coil Spring Sword
Location: Chapter 4, St. Frangelico Cathedral Library.
Requirements: Parade Leader’s Ergo.
You receive the Parade Leader’s Ergo once you have defeated the Parade Master boss in Chapter 1. Trade the Parade Leader’s Ergo for the Seven-Coil Spring Sword.
Etiquette
Location: Chapter 4, St. Frangelico Cathedral Library.
Requirements: Broken Hero’s Ergo.
You receive the Broken Hero’s Ergo once you have defeated the Scrapped Watchman boss in Chapter 2. Trade the Broken Hero’s Ergo for the Etiquette.
Holy Sword Of The Ark
Location: Chapter 4, St. Frangelico Cathedral Library.
Requirements: King’s Flame Ergo.
You receive the King’s Flame Ergo once you have defeated the King’s Flame Fuoco boss in Chapter 3. Trade the King’s Flame Ergo for the Holy Sword of the Ark.
Find Alidoro
With the first 3 weapons secured and as long as you were following along with the guide you will have lied to Alidoro sending him to the hostile Venigni Factory rather than the safety of Hotel Krat. With the Fallen Archbishop Andreus boss defeated you now need to go and rescue Alidoro so get over to the Chapter 3, Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer, go up the stairs to your right and into the room on your left.
Speak with Alidoro where you need to lie to him again by telling him to try Elysion Boulevard, he will get angry so continue through the dialogue where he will then head off to Hotel Krat where you are then able to buy more Special Weapons until he toddles off again in Chapter 8.
Alidoro can be found in Hotel Krat by going along the corridor to the right of Polendina (the Concierge) then looking to your right.
Trident Of The Covenant
Location: Chapter 4, Hotel Krat.
Requirements: Twisted Angel’s Ergo.
You receive the Twisted Angel’s Ergo once you have defeated the Fallen Archbishop Andreus boss in Chapter 4. Trade the Twisted Angel’s Ergo for the Trident of the Covenant in Hotel Krat.
Puppet Ripper
Location: Chapter 6, Hotel Krat.
Requirements: Burnt-White King’s Ergo.
You receive the Burnt-White King’s Ergo once you have defeated the Romeo, King of Puppets boss in Chapter 6. Trade the Burnt-White King’s Ergo for the Puppet Ripper in Hotel Krat.
Finding Alidoro Again
Once you have access to Chapter 8, Alidoro will have left the safety of the Hotel and can be found in the Barren Swamp just pass the mine cart filled with explosives you send down the hill to blast the wall away creating a shortcut back to the Stargazer.
Ensure you have spoken to Eugenie in Hotel Krat to acquire the Four-Fingered Glove to work towards telling Eugenie a lie later on in the game. Give Alidoro the glove where he will then become available again to trade Boss Ergo for Special weapons.
Frozen Feast
Location: Chapter 7, Barren Swamp Entrance.
Requirements: Reborn Champion’s Ergo.
You receive the Reborn Champion’s Ergo once you have defeated the Champion Victor boss in Chapter 7. Trade the Reborn Champion’s Ergo for the Frozen Feast in Hotel Krat.
Explorer Hugo
Explorer Hugo is an unassuming NPC found in the Chapter 8, Barren Swamp Bridge biome. Initially he is standing next to the entrance of the Hermit’s Cave biome, somewhere you won’t be able to access until you have acquired and deciphered the Rusty Cryptic Vessel in Chapter 9 (refer to Veteran Explorer).
Speak to Explorer Hugo exhausting his dialogue where you will learn of his admiration for Alidoro as well as the fact he also has a fascination with collecting rare treasures.
Later in the game you will put Alidoro down and Explorer Hugo will then exchange special weapons for boss Ergo in Hotel Krat.
Two Dragon's Sword
Location: Chapter 8, Hotel Krat.
Requirements: Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter’s Ergo.
You receive the Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter’s Ergo once you have defeated the Puppet-Devouring Green Monster boss in Chapter 8. Trade the Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter’s Ergo for the Two Dragon’s Sword in Hotel Krat.
Slaying Alidoro
After you have defeated the Black Rabbit Brotherhood boss in the Chapter 10, Relic of Trismegistus Entrance biome you can go up the hill to find Alidoro scared witless and you need to slay him so work through the dialogue where you find out he killed the real Alidoro a while ago so avenge the fallen explorer.
Slaying Alidoro will give you Alidoro’s Cryptic Vessel which you will need as you work towards unlocking Veteran Explorer, ensure you speak to Venigni BEFORE speaking to Eugenie in Hotel Krat once you have dealt with Alidoro otherwise you will need an additional playthrough.
You now need to purchase any special weapons you haven’t yet acquired from Explorer Hugo who will be in the same spot in Hotel Krat where Alidoro once stood.
Uroboros's Eye
Location: Chapter 11, Arche Abbey Prayer Room.
Requirements: Sad Zealot’s Ergo.
You receive the Sad Zealot’s Ergo once you have defeated the Laxasia the Complete boss in Chapter 11. Trade the Sad Zealot’s Ergo for the Uroboros’s Eye in with Explorer Hugo in Hotel Krat.
Golden Lie
Location: Chapter 11, Hotel Krat.
Requirements: Retrieve the Portrait of a Boy and gain full Humanity.
The Golden Lie is a weapon you have to meet a lot of requirements to unlock. As such I have put together a complete guide for it to help you obtain what is the toughest to get your hands on and arguably the best weapon in the game.

Essentially you need to grab the Portrait of a Boy from the back room in the Town Hall after you defeat the Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood boss which you need to take to Geppetto.
From here, ensure you lie at every opportunity. As this is a highly missable weapon, I have put together the following 2 guides to help you not miss any element as you progress through the entire game as well as be able to answer ever lie or truth decision as a lie:
You can then, once you have put the Laxasia the Complete boss down go into the back room only after receiving the “Your Heart is Pounding” message on screen be able to offer Sophia peace where your hair will turn grey and you can finally get the Golden Lie from the Portraits’ face.
Noblesse Oblige
Location: Chapter 11, Arche Abbey, Cradle of the Gods.
Requirements: Fallen One’s Ergo.
You receive the Fallen One’s Ergo once you have defeated the Simon Manus, Awakened God boss in Chapter 11. Trade the Fallen One’s Ergo for the Noblesse Oblige in Hotel Krat with Explorer Hugo.
Proof Of Humanity
Location: Chapter 11, Under the Abyss.

You can trade the Nameless Puppet’s Ergo for the Proof of Humanity Special Weapon with Explorer Hugo in Hotel Krat after you have rolled the credits and refused to give Geppetto your Heart which will initiate a fight against the Nameless Puppet boss.
