Here is the Lords of the Fallen A Queen’s Rest trophy guide which will help you rescue and then comfort Queen Sophesia who has been locked away and condemned to an eternity of grief and loneliness by the King of Mournstead, her Husband who has now fallen into madness, poisoned by Adyr. You will need to free the Queen also known as the Tortured Prisoner then work through her questline which you must conclude before entering the Sundered Monarch’s arena otherwise her quest will fail. She can also turn into a boss but to successfully complete her quest you need to follow these steps:
Enter The Crypt
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
Leave Skyrest Bridge as you normally would then if you already opened the crypt below, get back down there. If not, go pass the building with the Vestige of Chabui smashing through the boxes and dropping down. Platform and run through to the elevator you can take up, head down to the end and hold the lamp to create a temporary bridge you can release to drop down. Go into Umbral then run across the bridge and collect the Skyrest Bridge Key, go left then right and open the door to the Crypt.
Acquire The Searing Accusation
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
Now that you’re in the Crypt go into Umbral if you used an emergence Effigy then remove the Umbral Stigma by Soulflaying the 3 corpses. 1 is underneath the bridge to your right, another is found by jumping on top of the tomb from the stairs and the third is up to the right of the Umbral Entity. With all 3 removed climb the ladder when the Entity is gone and Soulflay the statue to acquire the Searing Accusation Catalyst.
Free The Prisoner
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
Go up the stairs at the back of the Crypt then go to the cell on the right and speak with the Prisoner until you can give her the Searing Accusation which she will then use whilst you’re away to free herself.
Defeat The Hushed Saint
Location: Forsaken Fen, Vestige of Valade.
Defeat the mandatory Hushed Saint boss, leave the beacon alone then go down and activate the Vestige of the Pale Butcher. This causes the Prisoner to move to the outside of Pieta’s arena above Skyrest Bridge.
Speak To The Prisoner
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
Go back to Skyrest Bridge then head out of Pieta’s arena to find the Prisoner standing by the slain Dragon. Speak to her exhausting all of her dialogue. There will be several items you can purchase as well if you want them.
Defeat Spurned Progeny
Location: Lower Calrath Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch.
Go through Lower Calrath and defeat the mandatory Spurned Progeny boss (bring ranged weapons or spells).
Activate The Spurned Progeny Umbral Stigma
Location: Lower Calrath Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch.
Phase into Umbral and activate the Stigma the Spurned Progeny will leave behind.
Deliver The Giant Eyeball
Location: Skyrest Bridge, Vestige of Ethryg.
Head back up through Skyrest Bridge and deliver the Giant Eyeball you will have received by defeating the Spurned Progeny boss to the Prisoner who will still be outside of Pieta’s arena.
Speak To The Prisoner Again
Location: Lower Calrath, Vestige of Doln.
Go back down to the Spurned Progeny boss arena and speak to the Prisoner again exhausting her dialogue.
Acquire The Noblewoman Armour Set
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of Etrhyg.
Once you have acquired the Rune of Adyr from the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters you can go up through Pieta’s arena, keep going pass the enemies then follow the path through the now open double doors in the top left corner down to Upper Calrath. Defeat the Skinstealer and the Infernal Enchantress then head down into the wine cellar and clear the room of enemies. There will be a section of floor which has several Mines there so get pass them then collect the item on the floor against the left wall which will be the Noblewoman Armour Set.
Equip The Noblewoman Armour
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of Ethryg.
Defeat the Lightreaper using your powerful gear then after you’re done with the fight equip the Noblewoman Armour BEFORE speaking to Sophesia in Upper Calrath. The set consists of the following items:
- Noblewoman Headwear.
- Noblewoman Dress.
- Noblewoman Sleeves.
- Noblewoman Leggings.
It won’t matter about the gender or class of your character, equipping the armour set is enough thankfully.
Speak To The Queen
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of Ethryg.
Head up the stairs towards the Beacon after the Lightreaper boss fight then ensure you have the Noblewoman Armour equipped and speak to the Prisoner who turns out to be the Queen of Mournstead. She will then give you the Elegant Perfume which doesn’t do anything except stun the Sundered Monarch for a few seconds but you need it equipped on a hotkey before the fight later on so if you want it, feel free. Might help get one or two hits in or a heal.
Collect The Charred Letter
Location: Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian.
Proceed up through Bramis Castle from the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian then once you’ve taken the elevator down behind the Proselyte Knight remove the Umbral Entity then look to your right as you go up to see a series of papers on the floor with an item you can collect. This will be the Charred Letter.
Give The Charred Letter To Sophesia
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian.
Return to Upper Calrath after going up the next set of stairs where you collected the Charred Letter and activate the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim which you can do after defeating the Conflagrant Seer enemy as it saves you the trouble of going back through the first section of Bramis Castle. Go back to Sophesia’s previous location near the Beacon and give her the Charred Letter again exhausting all of her dialogue.
Speak To The Queen Again
Location: Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Fast travel back to the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim then speak to Sopeshia again exhausting her dialogue, ensure you clear out her inventory before moving on to the next step as this will be the last chance you have.
Collect The Swaddling Cloth
Location Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Go through Bramis Castle to the King’s bedroom then collect the Swaddling Cloth from the side of his bed.
Return The Swaddling Cloth To Sophesia
Location Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Return the Swaddling Cloth to Sophesia who will still be next to the Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Defeat The Sundered Monarch
Location: Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Defeat the Sundered Monarch who, depending on the ending you’re going for will either be the penultimate or final boss and can be found at the end of Bramis Castle.
Speak To Queen Sophesia
Location: Bramis Castle, Vestige of the Bloody Pilgrim.
Head up the stairs behind the Sundered Monarch’s arena and speak to Queen Sophesia who will thank you and finally be able to rest.
Rewards
With Queen Sophesia’s questline successfully completed she will give you the Queen Sophesia’s Ring. You will also unlock A Queen’s Rest for your troubles.
