Here we will go over where you can find all of the Lords of the Fallen Short Swords which are melee weapons in the game and there are 19 in the game for you to collect all of which count towards Weapon Collector. Short swords allow for fast, sweeping, stabbing and slashing attacks which are low intensity on your Stamina gauge meaning you can perform long combos which can be very useful as if one hit misses you can have the next one ready immediately. Whereas weapons like a Grand Sword needs to be swung, recovered, swung the Short swords can inflict decent damage with very little recovery needed.
Short Swords
The 19 Short Swords available throughout Lords of the Fallen are:
Hallowed Condemnation
Location: Abandoned Redcopse, Vestige of Hannelore.
Go forward through the area to the open area with the large tree, take out all the enemies in the local area then go to the top left corner and smash through the crates behind the wall to find a chest inside of which will be the Hallowed Condemnation Short Sword.
Rusty Cutter
Location: Abandoned Redcopse, Vestige of Marco the Axe.
Climb the stairs and go around to the entrance of the Pieta’ She of Blessed Renewal boss arena then turn around and go up the ramps taking out all of the enemies in the local area. Go left and run out on to the lava which allows you to collect the Rusty Cutter Short Sword. If you do get inflict with Burn then roll to shake it off quicker.
Hallowed Knight Sword
Location: Skyrest Bridge.
You can purchase the Hallowed Knight Sword from Stomund, Captain of the Fidelis in Skyrest Bridge for 450 Vigor.
Pieta's Sword
Location: Skyrest Bridge.
Phase into Umbral then speak with Molhu who is up the stairs on the right side as you face away from the Vestige of Ethryg, offer the Bowl of Revelations (refer to The Past Shapes the Present) then choose to offer Remembrance. As long as you phased into Umbral and interacted with the Stigma after defeating the Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal boss you will have the Remembrance of Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal which you can use to unlock a series of items related to Pieta including the Pieta’s Sword you can purchase for 40 Umbral Scourings. Umbral Scourings are acquired by either interacting with Stigma’s, defeating certain bosses or purchased at the Shrine of the Putrid Mother for 3 Plucked Eyeballs which are acquired by avenging Lampbearers.
Hallowed Praise
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Chabui.
Take out the Scourged Sister Delyth boss then go forward up the stairs and follow the pathway along ensuring you kick down the plank to create the shortcut. Return from Umbral then climb the ladder, jump across the moving platform and clear the enemies then look left to find the Hallowed Praise Short Sword in front of the altar.
Perdam Falchion
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Chabui.
Go up the ladders, cross the beam then drop down and take out the Scourged Sister Delyth boss. Follow the path across Pilgrim’s Perch taken care not to fall down, climb the ladder then platform across. Climb the ladder, take out the Pilgrim then jump across to the next platform and put the Ardent Penitent enemy down. Stay on this platform and go to the end where you can pan the camera round to see a beam you can drop onto which holds the Perdam Falchion.
Sin-Piercer Sword
Location: Pilgrim’s Perch, Vestige of Blind Agatha.
Drop down into the depths of Pilgrim’s Perch following the path down to Gerlinde’s cell. Free her, then climb the ladder and activate the elevator which is a very useful shortcut straight back to the Vestige. Follow the path down then ride the next elevator to the cave where you will fight and defeat the Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds boss. Once she’s down you will receive an assortment of items including the Sin-Piercer Sword.
Bloodlust
Location: Fitzroy’s Gorge, Vestige of the Pale Butcher.
Work your way around the Hamlet and drop the plank which creates a shortcut across the water back to the Vestige of the Pale Butcher then go through using the lamp to phase through the metal gate. Defeat the Wolves then go left taking out the enemies as you go to the end where you will encounter the Crimson Rector Percival boss. Defeat him then go left and loot the Bloodlust Short Sword from the Chest.
Left-Hand Bringer Of Stillness Sword
Location: Fitzroy’s Gorge, Vestige of Betrayed Eliard.
Every so often as you progress through the mid game and beyond you will be able to peer into Umbral with the lamp and sometimes there will be a Wraith waiting to attack you. These enemies can be seen plain as day if you are in Umbral but then you have your Dread meter to deal with. A good place to farm these enemies is by looking at the top of the mound just after the bridge where you defeated the Ruiner boss. These Wraiths have a very low RNG chance of dropping the Left-Hand Bringer of Stillness Sword.
Right-Hand Bringer Of Stillness Sword
Location: Fitzroy’s Gorge, Lower Calrath.
Similar to the Left-Hand Bringer of Stillness Sword, the Wraiths have a very low RNG chance of dropping the Right-Hand Bringer of Stillness Sword.
Old Mournstead Sword
Location: Lower Calrath, Vestige of Doln.
Go through the ash filled area taking out the enemies as you go. Try not to go into Umbral as there are a lot more enemies to deal with then once you have defeated the Infernal Enchantress go up the slope to your left. Deal with the Ruiner and any other enemies then stay right where you can loot the Old Mournstead Sword from the corpse under the awning.
Devoted Chopper
Location: Sunless Skein, Vestige of Antuli.
Go right from the Vestige of Antuli through the mines then take a left and follow the path to the bars on your right you can phase through with the lamp. Head right when you can and fall down the shaft into the waters below, don’t worry you won’t take damage from the fall and the water isn’t deep enough to trigger Umbral. Hold the lamp up against the left wall and cross the bridge then climb the stairs on your right and drop down into the poison pool below. The fall will hurt so make sure you are high health then collect the Devoted Chopper from the melted corpse.
Putrid Child Sword
Location: Fief of the Chill Curse, Vestige of Loash.
Rest at the Vestige of Loash in the Fief of the Chill Curse then follow the path across the rooftops. Go into Umbral and drop down onto the lake bed and take out the 2 Mendacious Visages and any other enemies. Soulflay the statue to drop the Putrid Child Sword.
Melted Dark Crusader Sword
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian.
Go down the hill from the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian then remove the Umbral Entity, go through the courtyard and take a right once you’re out of the building taking out the Infernal Enchantress and anything else that’s aggro’d. Phase into Umbral and Soulflay the corpse out of the way. Go down the stairs and round to your right to see a statue in an alcove you can Soulflay which drops the Melted Dark Crusader sword.
Left-Hand Lightreaper Sword
Location: Skyrest Bridge.
You can purchase the Left-Hand Lightreaper Sword from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge once you have the Remembrance of the Lightreaper.
Right-Hand Lightreaper Sword
Location: Skyrest Bridge.
You can purchase the Right-Hand Lightreaper Sword from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge once you have the Remembrance of the Lightreaper.
Kukajin's Sword
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian.
This sword requires some work to get. To start off with you need to free Kukajin from her petrified state in Forsaken Fen which is easy to do if you have the Sanctify Radiance Spell from the tower by going up the stairs after defeating Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal. Go through Forsaken Fen, pass the Shuja Warriors by the bonfire then go left smashing through the green vines carefully as if you hit Kukajin she will die. You then need to use Sanctify, freeing her from her petrified state and exhaust her dialogue.
Speak with Kukajin in Skyrest Bridge who will be in an open cell then go through to the Hollowed Crow or similar colossal boss and summon Kukajin for the fight which will work right up until the Sundered Monarch. You would need to pay Kukajin for her being a hired sword, if, however, you fail to pay her she will then become hostile. You can find Kukajin by going to the Upper Calrath, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian, go down through the courtyard and round to the base of the area below the beacon on the street level to find Kukajin. Put her down to receive an assortment of items including Kukajin’s Sowrd.
Andreas of Ebb's Sword
Location: Upper Calrath, Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian.
Andreas of Ebb’s Sword will require you to follow Andreas’ quest to completion and to do so you need to speak with Andreas before leaving Skyrest Bridge then again once he appears next to the Vestige in Skyrest Bridge later in the game. He will then disappear for a bit and turn up once you have access to Upper Calrath and be in an open cell. Speak to him where he will ask you to find his book which you can do by going through the door in the top left corner pass the Avowed and Proselyte enemies up the stairs from Pieta’s boss arena. Activate the Stigma at the bottom of the stairs to receive the book which you then return to Andreas in Skyrest Bridge.
From here, ensure you are high levelled, have high poison resistance and have a decent array of offensive spells and hard hitting melee weapons as Andreas is a contender for one of the toughest bosses in the game. Go down the hill and through the gates to trigger the fight against Andreas then put him down to receive an assortment of items including the Andreas of Ebb’s Sword.
Elianne the Starved's Sword
Location: Skyrest Bridge.
You can purchase the Elianne the Starved’s Sword from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge once you have the Remembrance of Elianne the Starved.
