Here we will go over all of the Nioh 2 Twilight Missions. The Twilight missions are tougher versions of certain normal missions which will need to be completed before you can access a given Twilight mission. In total, there are 9 Twilight missions you will need to complete in throughout Nioh 2. You have a lot of missions to complete throughout Nioh 2, in total there are 20 Main Missions, 53 Sub Missions, 25 Dojo Missions and 9 Twilight Missions. The Twilight missions which are much harder versions of some standard missions in the game and only appear sporadically at the rate of 2 every 24 hours (real time). All of these missions can be completed on Dream of the Samurai which will help given the difficulty of the game, if you’re struggling to complete a mission, level yourself up a few times then come back for another go.
If you have already played Nioh, you will know what to expect here, if not then get ready for a tough slog through the missions in game which vary in difficulty requiring you to do anything from sneak through a village as you work towards taking down a single target or fight through enemy filled arenas in search of back to back boss fights. The 9 Twilight missions you need to complete in Nioh 2 are as follows:
The Violet Cherry Blossoms
Level 20.
You will need to complete the, The Village of Cursed Blossoms, level 1 main mission in the Awakening Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
Traces of the Raging Blaze
Level 25.
You will need to complete the, The Beast Born of Smoke and Flames, level 10 main mission in the Awakening Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
The Blood Tainted Samurai
Level 39.
This Twilight mission is a greatly enhanced version of the Dark Omens, Level 21 Sub Mission in the Awakening Region. Proceed through the area taking out or running pass the yokai / NPCs to the Temple, in here you will have 2 enhanced NPCs to take down then a powerful Karasu Tengu.
Blood on the Wind
Level 58.
You will need to complete the, The Mysterious One Night Castle, level 43 main mission in the Soaring Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
The Cursed Castle Ruins
Level 76.
You will need to complete the, Bird in a Cage, level 71 main mission in the Shadow Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
The Defiled Sanctuary
Level 83.
You will need to complete both the, The Fallen Star, level 70 sub mission in the Shadow Region and Pervading Waters, level 75 main mission in the Dawn Region to unlock this Twilight Mission.
Mountain of the Dark Lord
Level 91.
You will need to complete the, The Sun Sets on Mount Tenno, level 85 main mission in the Dawn Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
The Island of Monsters
Level 102.
This Twilight mission is a greatly enhanced version of the A Message From the Deceased, Level 94 Sub Mission in the Twilight Region. Make your way through the mission taking out the yokai as you go, once in the dark realm, you will need to take down a Karasu Tengu, an NPC at the same time as having ranged Skeleton Warriors firing down on you. From here, head through and take Tatarimokke down to complete the mission.
Wings of the Phoenix
Level 113.
You will need to complete the, The Mausoleum of Evil, level 100 main mission in the Dream Region to unlock this Twilight mission.
