The recommended level for Lake Hamana is 25 and when you first arrive the entire region will be under siege by Daidara Bocchi, a massive Yokai firing energy blasts from the sea. Use the blasts to clear the rocks leading up and through to Horie Castle.
Kodama are green Sprites who can be collected by clearing the local area of aggro’d enemies then holding R1 to collect the Kodama as long as they aren’t hiding in their hats. You will then receive Kodama Merit which you can use at a Shrine to activate a Kodama Blessing increasing Elixir drop rate / efficacy so these little dudes are well worth sniffing out to find.

There is 2 Kodama to be found in the Lake Hamana region which is the:
- Horie Castle Main Keep Kodama.

Closest Shrine: Horie Castle – Main Keep.
Rewards: Kodama Merit +10.
Rest at the Horie Castle Main Keep shrine then go through the area pass the Yoki and enemies to the staircase out the back of the buildings. Go up the stairs then loot the body on the edge of the walkway overlooking the ocean below to acquire the Cell Keys.
Go back to the Main Keep shrine then head down into the basement looking to your left at the bottom of the stairs to see the cell you can now open inside of which will be the Kodama near the back of the area.
