The recommended level for Lake Sanaru is 19 and before you can collect all of the Kodama you will need to clear the Enemy Base as well as the Lesser Crucible on the edge of the coast.

Kodama are green Sprites who can be collected by clearing the local area of aggro’d enemies then holding R1 to collect the Kodama as long as they aren’t hiding in their hats. You will then receive Kodama Merit which you can use at a Shrine to activate a Kodama Blessing increasing Elixir drop rate / efficacy so these little dudes are well worth sniffing out to find.
Lake Sanaru Kodama
There are 4 Kodama in the Lake Sanaru Region which are the:
Waterside Kodama
Closest Shrine: Waterside.
Rewards: Kodama Merit +10.
Firstly, ensure you have cleared out the Enemy base at the dock which consists of the jetty and the main ship. With that done you will then be safe to go through and collect the Kodama there. Go back to the Waterside Shrine and rest if you need to then go back round the dock and platform across the boats staying left to find the Kodama sitting in the final boat.

Waterside Kodama 2
Closest Shrine: Waterside.
Rewards: Kodama Merit +10.
From the first Kodama, go back on to the ship and enter the bridge on the ship, inside in front of the red chest will be the Kodama which only spawns once the base has been cleared.

Waterside Kodama 3
Closest Shrine: Waterside.
Rewards: Kodama Merit +10.
With the first 2 Kodama collected in Lake Sanaru, go back to dry land then up the hill to the right and clear out the enemies in the Lesser Crucible before removing the spike which opens a new mountain path. Go to the broken bridge then drop down to your left carefully and make your way back up and round to the top of the rocks. Jump across to the small island on your left before going to the temple above to find the Kodama looking out at the ocean behind the small rock formation.

Lake Sanaru North Kodama
Closest Shrine: Lake Sanaru (North).
Rewards: Kodama Merit +10.
Make your way North from the Lake Sanaru (North) Shrine then stay right dropping down to the lower level. Clear the Skeleton Warriors then look behind the cart in the back right corner to find the Kodama.
