Here we will go over all of the Nioh Kinki Region Missions. Kinki region is the third main region and contains 3 main missions and 9 sub missions for you to complete. There are a lot of missions to complete in NIOH. The missions are broken down into categories throughout the game, which are main missions, sub missions, twilight missions and the dojo missions. The Twilight missions which are much harder versions of some standard missions in the game and only appear sporadically at the rate of 2 every 24 hours (real time).
All of these missions can be completed on Way of the Samurai which will help and if you need any other Nioh missions, check out the Samurai of Legend trophy guide for how to complete every mission in the game. I recommend going through the game, completing The Queen’s Eyes (final mission) then levelling up on Way of the Strong then coming back to mop up any remaining / harder / twilight missions you have outstanding on Way of the Samurai. I will give you a brief guide on how to get through every mission in the Kinki region as well as a Let’s Play video for every mission showing you what you need to do to complete that given mission. The 12 Kinki Region missions are as follows:
Spider Nest Castle
Main Mission, level 47.
Go through to the first Giant Spider, defeat it to be able to progress, go up and around being careful not to get hit by the boulder. Drop down onto the roof, kill the second Giant Spider, go through and collect the Key to the Castle Gates then go up to the Castle. The boss fight sees you face off against Joro-Gumo, a powerful Spider who likes to slow you down with web attacks, hit you with front swipes and jumping on you. Aim for her backside to have an easier time of it. Defeat Joro-Gumo to complete the mission.
Falling Snow
Main Mission, level 55.
As you go through the mission, you will need to attack the white butterfly clusters to be able to get through the blue amrita clusters, to be able to face off against, Yuki-Onna, the Ice Queen. Given the fact she’s made out of ice, utilise a fire based living weapon to inflict heavy damage against her. Once Yuki-Onna has been defeated, the mission will complete.
The Demon Of Mount Hiei
Main Mission, level 62.
Proceeding through the mission, you will need to cut through the large amrita clusters which will kill the enhanced yokai if you haven’t done so already. When you get to the White Tiger boss, stay behind it as much as you can as the majority of its offence comes from the front. Defeat the White Tiger to complete the mission.
The Ogress
Sub Mission, level 42.
Head through the area then defeat the Flying Bolt to complete the mission.
The Battle Of Ohashi Bridge
Sub Mission, level 45.
Defeat the very powerful axe wielding NPC to complete the mission, this might be a good one to come back to later as this guy is a serious competitor.
The Disappearing Ranjatai
Sub Mission, level 49.
Go through the mission opening up any of the 4 chests to find the Sandalwood Splinter where you will then complete the mission.
Demon Hunting
Sub Mission, level 52.
Head through the mission taking out the yokai in the first area allowing you to proceed to the next. Defeat the Onryoki to complete the mission.
The Malefactors
Sub Mission, level 56.
Take out the 3 Red NPCs to complete the mission.
The Red Oni Of The Li
Sub Mission, level 58.
Defeat Li Naomasa, a very powerful, spear wielder who has an incredible amount of Ki to complete the mission.
The Fallen Onmyo Mages
Sub Mission, level 65.
Make your way through the underground section of the level to the back room where 3 Mages will be facing inwards to a large, oddly shaped amrita cluster. Defeat the Mages then smash the cluster to complete the mission.
The Missing Catalogue
Sub Mission, level 67.
Go down to the bottom of the area to where a chest is in front of a building. From the chest go left dropping down underground, go left where a One-eyed Oni will spawn. Kill it to complete the mission.
Greater Demon Hunting
Sub Mission, level 70.
This is another arena style mission, defeat the Onryoki as quick as you can before the other yokai spawn in. Killing the Onryoki will complete the mission.
